Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Urgh sickness bug has hit our house and without tmi although we dtd last night my night was so rough I'm sure nothing could've withstood it.
Opk still bloody flashing but the lines inside are more even and the oestrogen one is fainter. Is this supposed to be a good sign O is on the way?

Shorty - I used cheap OPKs so don't know much about ones that flash with smiley faces etc , but if lines r similar in darkeness I'm assuming that's a good sign , sure ul know soon enough in a few wks X

shorty hope your better soon. My LG had had it, she's getting better now though. The bug was here 3 weeks ago and has decided to come back. As long as it stays away from me this time lol

Ah Hoggle, I'm sad for you, of course you feel sad, you had gone in to mama mode and were thinking of the pregnancy, for you. I think you can count it as a late one in terms of ttc, so good luck for next cycle. New year coming up so hopefully new luck for us!

I went to buy the Christmas booze today, I've had to leave some in my car boot as it was too heavy to carry in all at once while stopping the toddler from running out onto the busy main road, and I didn't want to do too many shuttle runs of just alcohol in front of the neighbours

Shorty hope you're all better soon although I am muchos impressed by you getting it on in the grip of a sickness bug. That's dedication!

G that's a great date for a scan, not long after new year at all!

Jp good for you on the booze front! I will be stocking up for sure this weekend. I've got a bottle of vodka in the cupboard that I caught sight of yesterday and thought 'right you bastard, let's get drinking'.

HoggleHoggle u made me giggle a few times on that post.
I've got another damn flashing smiley arghhhhhhh. Cd 17 and 9th flashing. I'm gonna use the entire pack but half thinking I should bin them. Not worth the stress. X

I'm ok thanks, feeling much better. Still sad, but it feels like less of a punch in the gut. Just feeling very hopeful for next month! The waiting is driving me insane, I'm impatient at the best of times.

Shorty I tried opks one month and they did my head in too. I'm going to keep going naturally but if it takes a few more months then I'll probably try them again more seriously. At the moment I'm just using the babycentre ovulation predictor and roughly doing it eod within that time period. And by 'roughly' I mean 'sort of', rather than commenting on our dtd style

Just wanted to send out a note of caution over working by ovulation calculators. Using OPKs I found out I ovulate around day 8/9 of a 23-28 day cycle. It was much earlier than I expected and I think I could have missed my fertile window using a calculator. I think cervical fluid is a good back up for checking you are ovulating when you think you are.

I had an awful night.had the worst of backaches and period pain.am drunk with painstop instead of the intended drink

Lol Mimi, thanks for asking, he said to me to "be extra careful" when driving, and to try not to catch a cold . I'm not really a being pampered sort of person, and he isn't really a pampering sort, so we are well matched! He is out shopping, hopefully he will bring in chocolate.

I'm feeling ok, a couple of waves of nausea. I'm hoping it won't turn into anything, I didn't have morning sickness with DD. I'm diabetic so working hard to keep my blood sugar control super tight. I'm really hungry but mainly for chicken, cold meat and fish.

Thanks tattie that is interesting. I am rubbish with cervical mucus watching but will try to pay more attention next month!

Hey all hope uv had a good day ? Sorry Iv bn so busy today trying to get more organised for Christmas then was thru at the parents for t , DD in bed now but I can hear her yapping away to herself OH been working today and still isn't back yet , I'm too tired to sit up tonight and feel pretty bad about being so tired all the time , our sec life had gone from being eod to NIL I'm not complaining just not feeling it but I know it will be on his mind lol xxx

Hoggle - I Thot checking cm was so gross at the beginning lol then it became part of daily routine ! Found it also really helped me understand my real fertile days X I like the taking it natural approach tho too , takes alot of the urgency out it which is stressful X hope ur feeling ok today xx

So far we haven't told anyone, even my diabetes nurse was off on Friday.

I'm going to tell my best friend but need to get her on the phone as she lives at the other end of the country. Will also tell a couple of other close friends when I see them. We want to tell parents soon, but going on my last pregnancy need to find a way to get my Dad to keep his trap shut! He was very excited and it kept slipping out, despite him being sworn to secrecy! We don't want to tell DD til after my 12 week scan at least so need to be more cautious.

She did say yesterday, out of nowhere, that she thinks I have 2 babies in my tummy

Yes, he cried when we told them I was pregnant with DD . He is a softy.
DD constantly surprises me by how much she picks up when we think we are talking in code, so we will have to watch out.

Lol how sweet ! My dad was more shocked when I told him lol it was me who was crying ! Was so nervous (22) X
Our DD turned 2 a couple of wks ago and is suddenly a lil motormouth , copies everything ! Really need to watch what we say too! X quite funny sometimes x
