Short Luteal Phase

So after 6 months of ttc I've worked out I've got a short luteal phase of 9 days, however it could be even less. I get a positive opk on day 19 and 9 days later AF appears. I'm fearing it could be less that 9 days if I ovulate 24-36 hours after a postive opk. No suprises that there hasn't been a bfp yet. I'm thinking this is my obstacle. Seems I've tried everything else. Do I go to my GP? Is there any point? On preconception vitamins with b6 in and have been in them for three months and no changes. Also AF is really painful every month, wondering if there is more to this. Any ideas? Or anyone experienced/ing similar?

sanch, could you have ov'd yesterday (monday)? fx you catch it, still time, right?
mrs, can you do a FRER at 10dpo? they are good up to four days early I thought

I don't know? I kind of just want to wait til I'm actually due to test in case its a BFN and I'm in limbo.

I just HATE this.

When would you be due Mrs? And I agree, its boring, and frustrating and all sorts of other crappy emotions!

Thinking about it fly I may not have ov'd until this morning, got my +ve at 7pm Sunday night, and with the 12-36 hour thing, today might be the day. Will have to try and persuade DH that we DTD quickly tonight despite his bad back and cold (manflu)!

Saturday is my last day of the pessaries and I was told to test then. That would be 15dpo and although I know I can technically test before then if I just wait to then I will get a final answer and if I do get a BFP then I carry on with the pessaries for the first trimester anyway.

Seems sensible, you may get a false negative before that and there's no need for possibly extra disappointment. All fingers crossed for you. Saturday isnt that far away!

lol me too! Signing up for half marathons, least I know I can run even if my body wont get pregnant!!

Ah Mrs and Sanch, it's so frustrating! You may have ovulated Sanch, never say never!

Mrs, fingers crossed that AF stays away! And that saturday flies by.

I got a flashing smily on the CB opk. Knew it! So maybe I will ovulate after all, and it would explain why there is no AF on the horizon!

I hate it too, I hate the constant worry and constantly feeling under pressure with everyone constantly asking!! I really never thought it would be like this.

Sanch don't rely too heavy on temps, last month AF arrived before my temp drop. I thought I may be pregnant but kept getting BFNs. Temp didn't drop until a day after I came on so I'm a bit sceptical. The month before I had the drop so knew to expect AF. This time I wasn't prepared haha.

Ladies I'm thinking about doing a FRER tomorrow morning 12 dpo. Almost certain it'll be a BFN but I just feel like I need to "do" something.
Spotting appears to have halted again. I just hate this limbo. Nothing to lose, my hopes are not up!

Still spotting a tiny bit but I have the progesterone for 3 months so here's hoping!

sanch I was in the same position last month - dh with bad back and man flu! why do they have to ruin it for us at just the most important time??!
I'm now working out with the 12-36 hours thing we might not have dtd enough Sad, had a +ve opk on thursday, dtd on friday night... then didn't do it again (due to nasty thrushy feeling down below) so now I wait in a slightly dispondent fashion.... friggin hate this!

I got a temp drop this morning so I dont hold out much hope that I've ovulated, coupled with last months 5 day luteal phase (after +ve OPK no temp to confirm ov), I just dont think I'm ovulating at the moment. I seriously hope its my body still settling down after the pill and it'll all straighten out soon. I dont know if its best to stop all the OPK's and temping for a while, or keep going and build up info for if I do need to go to the docs when it gets to 12 months? Sometimes I just want to cry!
