Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Getting a good feeling about some of the symptoms you lot are spotting

Tired from a day of drinking cider and watching my team lose at Twickenham :(

5hell · 30/05/2015 19:06

sock just do your best to squeeze in a few quickies or functional shags ;)

Good luck for the exam. ...nothing too hard i hope?

Ain626 · 30/05/2015 19:14

5hell you were at Twickenham too? I wasn't, but loads of people I know were (totally not jealous... honest...) slightly worried you are one of my friends but I imagine there were a lot of Bath fans there drinking cider

We are going to Croatia and Italy. Grin seeing as we paid for the upgrade to all inclusive I'm hoping this will invoke los. If not, I'll be on the cocktails!!!

SockQueen · 30/05/2015 19:19

Pretty tough, unfortunately - it's a viva exam for my specialty training. I get grilled for over an hour by several different consultants on a huge range of topics. Plus it costs over £500 so I'd really rather not redo it! Will try to fit in a few shags in revision breaks...

Bad luck on the rugby. Sad DH is a big Saints fan so was pretty gutted by last week's results. Plus that twat Dylan Hartley has managed to get himself banned again.

Hobbit19 · 30/05/2015 19:35

Ain, Croatia is LUSH! The food (and the wine) is amazing. Where abouts are you going?

Are you a doctor Sock? Good luck with the exam!

ThursdayLast · 30/05/2015 19:56

I've only been to Dubrovnik and I loved it x

honeysucklejasmine · 30/05/2015 20:19

Ain without meaning to sound like a stalker... Where about exactly? I desperately want to go on an all inclusive holiday and we might actually be able to afford it now! But I don't want to go anywhere very hot, so Croatia might be good! We're also thinking of Slovenia.

MyBlackCat · 30/05/2015 20:30

I'm utterly depressed as I'm on my way home from watching my team get battered at wembley this evening Angry

But I'm also going to Croatia this summer - CAN NOT WAIT Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 30/05/2015 20:51

Gosh, all this sport watching!

Man, I am feeling pretty low atm. Can't believe I am STILL not pregnant. Seriously, wtf?! It's so frustrating! I think it would ve easier if I hadn't of had the mc, as I know it IS possible. Gragh! So annoying.

Wine helps, right? I know, I know, it doesn't

SockQueen · 30/05/2015 20:54

Yes, pud. I love it really, but the exams and constant moving around - I have worked in 8 different hospitals plus a GP surgery in 6 years - are a pain in the arse. This will hopefully be my last exam, if I pass, just work-based assessments from then on.

Croatia looks awesome, have a fab time Ain and MyBlackCat!

5hell · 30/05/2015 21:01

ain yeah we were at Twickers, along with another 40000 bath supporters i reckon :)
V quiet trains home

We are also thinking of holiday in croatia (dubrovnic)...maybe we should have a JS stalk-up there ?! ;)

Fivemonkeysjumpingonthebed · 30/05/2015 21:02

I'm sorry to read some of you are having a hard time. Flowers for Honey especially.
Aug I vote that not on pad is spotting too...
NFMV: AF still visiting but very light. Actually POAS in ridiculous hope it was so light for a reason even though I knew better. Spent rest of the day annoyed at myself for being that stupid. It sounds like this whole journey is not as hard for me as it is for many of you, but it is really starting to get to me.

ThursdayLast · 30/05/2015 21:11

I did watching of FA cup from my living room (and drank a whole bottle of prosecco to myself - what a lush)
I was disappointed in the result being a good Man Utd fan Wink

I convinced myself I had a heightened sense of smell this morning - so y'know on so preggo Grin

Thanks all round for those feeling blue xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

bellybuttonfluffy · 30/05/2015 21:12

Evening Viroids.

Anyone wish to join me in a little pity party?

Feeling pretty disappointed. I'm 99% sure that I've not became upduffed this month. NFMV- getting some cramps and very light tinge of pink which usually means AF will be coming a knockin in a few short days. I've not been trying very long, but I've seriously shagged the most this month than any other time in my life!

So a bottle of prosecco, bag of popcorn and Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations (Anyone else? YUMMMM!!!) and I'm just feeling a bit meh.

I honestly don't know how I can keep feeling this disappointed when it's only been two months?! Someone please tell me to get a grip...

CountryGal4 · 30/05/2015 21:14

Why didn't you viroids bloody tell me you were at twickers! I was too!!!

Also suffering from teenage acne Sad

Thisisbonkers · 30/05/2015 21:15

Congratulations pretzel Star

I'm still hoping that ovulating on holiday will bring me luck. The wait between AF and being able to js usefully seems to really drag!

ThursdayLast · 30/05/2015 21:18

Oh my word country I'm so disgustingly spotty that when my 2yo DS took a random swipe in the direction of my face he chopped the top off a white head.
Rank.
Better be a symptom obvs isn't

5hell · 30/05/2015 21:21

Flowers fluff - some months are just harder than others for no good reason I think...keep shagging, we're here for as long, or short as u need us

Glad to hear there are plenty of good rugby-loving viroids Grin

Full of curry now...mmmmmm biryani

CountryGal4 · 30/05/2015 21:25

As you're all bath supporters does this mean you live near me the team?

Hobbit19 · 30/05/2015 21:30

Belly, in the gentlest possible way my dear - hooya. 2 months is not long at all (I know it feels like it is), just keep shagging, it will happen for you.

Honey, I don't know how it feels to be in your shoes, but I know that I would be very frustrated if I was you. I'm sorry that it is taking its time for you Flowers. Two of my best friends were ttc for 18 months, no medical reason why it took so long for them, it just did. And now they have a beautiful, gorgeous cheeky curly blonde boy. You will get there too. But for now, Wine and hugs xx

ThursdayLast · 30/05/2015 21:30

I thought you might all have been talking about the county champs at Twickenham - and thought you might all be near me!
(Further south than Bath)

5hell · 30/05/2015 21:33

fuck anonymity not any more country...went to uni there, now in SE so easy to get to twickers. Always go back to bath at least once a year tho. Love the place, would love to live there again one dat

Hobbit19 · 30/05/2015 21:33

Ooh and Sock, lots of friends are Doctors. As teachers we complain a lot about work/life balance etc but we have it no where near as bad as you guys, it is a HARD job, and is in no way recognised by the stoooopid government/media (rant over!) Thank you for being a doctor, don't know how you do it!

pretzelpieces · 30/05/2015 22:01

Thanks bonkers

Conquered my fear of the cb digi (it says 2-3 weeks but I only iced 13 days ago maximum. Wtf. No wonder I feel so sick.)

pretzelpieces · 30/05/2015 22:02

That bit was meant to be CROSSED OUT. imagine it in a stage whisper or sommat
