"Casually" TTC

TTC number 2, we've agreed to go ahead in a "let's just see whAt happens, no pressure" kind of way. so I'm casually charting my cycles with a fertility app, breezily checking my cervical mucous, nonchalantly scouring the conception board and definitely not compiling a list of names for dc2 Blush.
What is so frustrating is that because I'm "casually" charting all of this I know exactly when my fertile window is and keep bloody missing it because I don't want to give the game away and look like baby crazed monster! Last month my carefully timed advances were thwarted by a five-aside groin strain. I think today was the day and was planning a seduction after dd's bedtime but he announced he was off to his brothers for a bank holiday drink.
This is lighthearted and is not a problem with communication in my marriage. I think he felt the pressure last time and I'm really trying to keep this as relaxed as possible (for him) but that's just not my style.

BigChief..I've had that on the outside part of my breasts. Kind of where normally the bra wires can dig in. I think it's just my bra..I ordered some cheapie tests from Amazon which are taking forever to arrive Envy I was absolutely starving tonight (only had half a home made burger for lunch, small) and OH says...maybe your PG...!!!!! Really!!!???? Blush I was obviously really casual and just said that probably not Grin Wink it's clearly in his head though

kitkat1989 · 03/06/2015 08:11

doctor did a test on me on monday which was bfn but that was at 5pm and ovia says i shouldnt test for another 4 days. still getting all the symptoms plus boobs have started itching like crazy and getting dizziness more and more often. still craving branston pickle.

also found out yesterday that the illness i have pregnancy can actually be beneficial for it because of the hormones the placenta produces my body doesnt make them itself but the placenta still will so it will be good for my health in general to be pg fx!!
also extremely hormonal atm yesterday i literally burst into tears and started sobbing on dhs shoulder because he said something (cant even remember what now!) and i was crying my eyes out at him sayig stop telling me off!

kitkat1989 · 03/06/2015 08:12

but ovia also says i should be due on on 7th so may just be af!

KateR1980 · 03/06/2015 11:17

(slowly wandering off to download ovia)

BigChiefThunderThighs · 03/06/2015 11:52

Kitkat I hope you get good news in a few days! I also have a condition that should improve in pregnancy, according to my consultant. Makes it all the more difficult to be casual - I just want things to hurry up!!

Today's lol moment. (Me to self) ' omg itchy nipples, itchy nipples!!! Maybe am pregnant!!!' On closer inspection I have sand in my bra (work with kids). Oh. Blush

BigChiefThunderThighs · 03/06/2015 15:43

That gave me a laugh kt! That's something I would do!

I am such a twit! I am now banning myself from thinking about pregnancy symptoms until I can feel a head crowning! Ridiculous.

How's everyone's day been? Is anyone testing soon? X

kitkat1989 · 03/06/2015 17:50

haha that made me laugh kt. have spent the afternoon at seaside with my lottle bro and his gfs 1 yr old made me really nroody. plus my little bros gf is now expectig his child so was also feelin extremely jealous when he was telling me about the scan on friday. she found out she was pg in march but they thought shed had a mc. then found out she was pg again a few weeks ago so at first they said she hadnt lost it but it turns out she did actually have a mc and the got caught again straight away. and apparently.they were using contraception. yea cos some people are just THAT lucky

BigChiefThunderThighs · 03/06/2015 19:21

No testing for me for 6 days!!torture but I will obey the almighty Ovia Grin
Kitkat - the broodiness is awful. Someone on mat leave brought their newborn baby into work today! If I wasn't so damn casual I would've run away with him just to sniff his wee new baby head for a while Blush

I'm knackered and a bit queasy but pretty sure it's nothing to do with being pg (still way too early) so am resolutely ignoring it. I can recommend 14 hour work days for taking your mind off how many days til you can test though! (Might explain the tired. Wink) Roll on the weekend!

kitkat1989 · 04/06/2015 17:14

tmi but had ucky brownness in knickers today so think af might be about to make an appearance :-(

Alice1983 · 04/06/2015 20:25

Hi !!!!! I tested today (only casuallyWink) and a BFN!!! So not feeling very clever right now and wishing I hadn't bothered. Could it be too Early?? (please tell me that's a yesGrin)

kitkat1989 · 04/06/2015 21:26

would depend on when af is due

BigChiefThunderThighs · 04/06/2015 23:02

I would say too early - don't lose hope yet! we're due to test the same day 9th June aren't we? I'm trying to hold out u til then but realistically I might last till Sunday - only because I have an occ health appt on Monday and It would be of benefit to know before that!

Isn't it annoying that pmt symptoms are basically the same as early pregnancy symptoms! Feeling crabby and starving and manky like I always do in the run up to Af. But then confused by cramping around 4dpo and then tmi alert red streaks in cm yesterday which I think was 8dpo but may be completely wrong. Gah! Got a wedding tomorrow as well so what to do about the alcohol situation. Do you casually have the odd glass of wine ? (Obv will not drink a lot)

spottedquoll · 05/06/2015 16:03

Yep, just casually nurse the same glass of wine for a long time! No one will notice.

I could be anywhere from 3-8 dpo and anywhere from 5 to 10 days til AF, it's very annoying!

ktkaye · 05/06/2015 16:26

I think you'll be ok with one or two whoopsy - drink 'til you see pink! (Says she who panicky after one glass 'just in case'). Who is testing this weekend?
I have thrush (deep joy) and popped in to boots earlier to get some medication. I have resolved not to test any more. At all. The lady behind the till said 'oo are you sure you're not pregnant? You shouldn't take this if you think you might be'. 'Errrr' I say. 'You should definitely check then love I got thrush in the first weeks with both of my pregnancies'. Gaaaa! Now I HAVE to otherwise either gamble or put up with symptoms. I tried ladies, you saw me try not to test right??

spottedquoll · 05/06/2015 18:04

Your attempt at great restraint has been duly logged kt! Grin

kitkat1989 · 05/06/2015 18:48

my app thinks af is due tomorrow iv had like a tiny little smear of ucky brown in my knickers yesterday and the samr again this morning but other than that none of my usual af symptoms been th complete opposite. barely eaten where normally id be eating everything in sight been extremely hormonal. but tomorrow is only.cd 21 so im unsure whether af should actually be due or not...

so watch this space lol

HopefulHamster · 05/06/2015 21:12

Good luck casualers!

No ttc for me any more after two kids (and three lots of IVF!) thank god. I could never work out how to do it casually. My (TMI) CM alone told me when I was fertile, how was I supposed to tell my brain to ignore that info when it was blatantly obvious!

jollyjester · 05/06/2015 21:13

Hi can I jump on board? DH has been really wanting to try for about a year and I'm finally on board. I was the eldest of 4 so I always felt a bit overlooked as a child which is why I wanted a slightly bigger age gap.

Dd is 4 in August so not actively trying, just winging it to see what happens!

Any rules / issues on the board I should be aware of?

BigChiefThunderThighs · 05/06/2015 21:55

Kt - what a result! A legit reason to test, while remaining totes casual!
Kitkat are u going to test 2moro if AF hadn't arrived properly?
Hopeful - the good wishes are much appreciated!
Jolly- the first rule of Casual Ttc Club is never talk about casually ttc in real life. The second rule of Casual Ttc Club is never talk about casually ttc........ You know the rest Grin

I get you bigcheif!

Dh just had a go at me for having a glass of wine. I'm trying to get rid of all alcohol from the house but I'm not going to throw it away!!

Good luck kt and kitcat!!

KateR1980 · 06/06/2015 02:57

Good luck!
