"Casually" TTC

BigChiefThunderThighs · 25/05/2015 00:05

TTC number 2, we've agreed to go ahead in a "let's just see whAt happens, no pressure" kind of way. so I'm casually charting my cycles with a fertility app, breezily checking my cervical mucous, nonchalantly scouring the conception board and definitely not compiling a list of names for dc2 Blush.
What is so frustrating is that because I'm "casually" charting all of this I know exactly when my fertile window is and keep bloody missing it because I don't want to give the game away and look like baby crazed monster! Last month my carefully timed advances were thwarted by a five-aside groin strain. I think today was the day and was planning a seduction after dd's bedtime but he announced he was off to his brothers for a bank holiday drink.
This is lighthearted and is not a problem with communication in my marriage. I think he felt the pressure last time and I'm really trying to keep this as relaxed as possible (for him) but that's just not my style.

Its not a supplement Pallas, it's a lube! Sperm friendly and definitely helps when you're casually having a lot more sex than usual. Not because you're desperate for a bfp though, you understand. Just because you feel like a bit more sex. Casual.

PallasCat · 19/06/2015 19:28

WOW! An even better tip then!

kitkat1989 · 20/06/2015 16:01

cd35 and STILL no af! another bfn on thursday. now ovia has decided i must be messed up too cos it no longer kniws when im next fertile or when my next af will be

Alice1983 · 20/06/2015 17:16

Ovia has decided to change my fertile days too based on the glue like CF!! Confused
Anyhow; I've got some IC PG tests do I'll give them a go at some point and casually report back.

Chattymummyhere · 20/06/2015 20:20

I'm on cd165 from last period now. Was on the pill, had spotting (pinky when wiping) and cramping early afternoon which has now vanished.

IrritatedPartyOf1 · 21/06/2015 07:43

kitkat I hope you get your bfp soon. I hate how our bodies can mess with us so much!
Chatty how long are you off the pill now? Would it be worth seeing if your gp can give you something to bring on your period?
On cd23 here today, I am extremely forgetful and tired this past week.

Chattymummyhere · 21/06/2015 09:24

I've just come on this morning now. So I've finally got to cd1. God I forgot how bad period cramps are.

kitkat1989 · 21/06/2015 12:38

thank god chatty!!

im still waiting for either af or bfp. have had alot of medication changes lately though and only been off the pill for about 3 months so i think its just af being stubborn not bfp

kitkat1989 · 21/06/2015 12:38

well not thank god but u get what i mean!!

Hey everyone, I am pretty new to MN and all things baby related ????. Can anyone give me some advice on whether it's posivle that I may have conceived? Not been trying but have had some strange things happening. 1) Period arrived 5 days early but stopped after 2 days. I am normally pretty regular. ) I have a very visible Linea Nigra. 3) I have been bloated and constipated for a little while now. However, despite all these symptoms, I'm on the coil, so rather unlikely that I am Oregon. I am confused ????.

Chattymummyhere · 21/06/2015 14:49

Take a test is the only advice really. People have got pregnant on all contraception. There are not any I would recommend really the depo shot put me in hospital from blood loss and then two weeks later I was in surgery having my lower back operated on, I bled from December 1st all though till after Valentine's Day and was then confirmed pregnant 2 weeks after that whilst taking over 20 tablets a day to stop bleeding. The doctors words where "it's like a taps been turned on and we cannot stop it" massive clots the lot.

Sorry I babbled on a bit, but yeah only a test will tell and if your still worried after go for a blood test.

Chattymummyhere · 21/06/2015 14:50

Haha yeah kitkat I know what you mean. Thankfully the cramps have stopped. I think this was way worse than any two week wait as it went on for months. Fingers crossed you get some kind of answer soon.

IrritatedPartyOf1 · 21/06/2015 21:32

It could definitely be the pill still messing with your system kitkat, when I went off the pill to ttc dc1 it took ages for my cycle to come back right.
I'm 'glad' the witch showed up chatty, fingers crossed this cycle works for you Wink

Definitelysometime · 22/06/2015 18:41

CD20 here, been casually having sex every other day for the last week but haven't had any usual ovulation signs yet - egg white etc. does that mean I haven't ovulated yet? Was looking forward to a break from sex (and DH even more so as I'm starting to look ever so slightly less casual!). Might have a safety shag tonight and then call it a month. Was hoping to test in a week's time so hope I have bloody ovulated

SoozeyHoozey · 22/06/2015 18:53

Good luck to everyone testing this week. I'm due on Wednesday but already had two faint positives but I'm not convinced! Had to ask DP to confiscate all my Internet cheapies as I was driving myself mad testing too early.

Definitelysometime · 22/06/2015 19:09

I think congratulations may be in order soozey! You don't really come by false positives, even on cheapies. The casual method prevails again!

IrritatedPartyOf1 · 22/06/2015 20:04

Congrats Soozey!

SoozeyHoozey · 23/06/2015 07:31

Thank you ladies! I don't think I'll really believe it till AF hasn't shown her face! I think part of it is my disbelief that it has happened so quickly on the first cycle. I got pregnant very easily with ds at 25 but was preparing myself for a wait at 35.

How's everyone else? Fingers crossed for anyone who's due to test soon and commiserations to those who are out for this month. Xx

lexb14 · 23/06/2015 12:49

HI
I'm new here, and feel a bit like I shouldn't really be here BUT we are just about to hopefully start ttc - still trying to persuade my oh that we should just get on with stopping trying not to and see what happens - ie get my copper coil removed but he is getting a bit freaked out by the idea of planning it!
This all started with a pg scare last month and then when I wasn't it turned out that we were both really quite gutted.... He says he wishes it had just happened by accident.
I have a little girl who is 6 by my ex husband, have been with my oh for 4 yrs, he has a sort of step son of 15 (he was with the mum for 14 of those 15 yrs and his dad wasn't about) and he is worried how the step son is going to take it....any advise to gently encourage a decision from him?

PallasCat · 23/06/2015 19:15

I'm out for this month. Slightly blindsided by an early AF on cd 25. I never come on early. But so be it. Hot water bottle and blankets for me!

Anyone else testing?

Welcome Lex!

Sparksflyx · 23/06/2015 19:31

I'm totally new to this TTC business, TTC my first and me and my oh are just trying to do the whole track your periods but let's just not stress... I'm finding it really hard not to think about it, And over track things, whilst not trying to read up on everything! ????

Waiting patiently for a few weeks to do another test! ????

spottedquoll · 23/06/2015 19:45

Welcome new people!

Casually not trying this month here, because DD has been ill and I'm just too tired to contemplate being even more tired in the next couple of weeks despite the chances of it actually happening being low! Hopefully be back to it soon, but I'll keep lurking to see how you're all doing... I can totally sympathise with wishing it would just happen by accident, wouldn't it make all those decisions and waiting and hoping easier?! Wink

lexb14 · 23/06/2015 19:54

Thanks Pallas and spotted

lexb14 · 23/06/2015 19:55

Hope your DD gets better soon x

IrritatedPartyOf1 · 23/06/2015 20:56

Sorry to hear AF arrived pallas. I'm also in cd25 and the symptom spotting is going a little mental at the minute.
I have heartburn but that could be the chilli I had for dinner
nausea, cramping in my lower abdomen, lower back pain and I was really dizzy this morning. No tests in the house and I'm trying to avoid buying one for another few days!
Hi to all the newbies, I'm only a newbie myself Wink

best of luck to anyone testing in the next few days
