TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

Hi. My af is due Thursday and although we did all our best to smep I am kinda pessimistic. 2ww is most difficult part.

ellewalk · 24/06/2015 10:40

Morning all trust we re all okay?

gakay sorry to hear you were upset, I know how you feel went through and am going through something similar, men just don't get it, mine makes me feel like he doesn't really want it to happen as he is not doing much to help, he only has to do one thing really and that seems to be a chore recently! Just keep trying that what I am trying to do.

soda wedding plans how exciting, this is a really happy time but stressful, try not to stress out to much Smile

bridhe welcome, wish you all the luck in the world. This waiting is a killer though!

So despite husband making a deal with me to dtd every other day he has managed to let me down! I promised I would not mention baby making this cycle if he just made the effort to dtd without question! We dtd a few time over the weekend with Monday being the 1st day of my fertile period so he was to have Monday off and then every other day. First night he rebuffs my advances and starts snoring..WOKE UP IN A STINKER OF A MOOD WITH HIM! How am i going to get pregnant if i DON'T HAVE SEX. Sorry am still raging inside at his inconsiderate behavior.

TMI WARNING!

That aside I am having a strange cycle, and because of our deal I have been keeping it to myself but enough of that now, I am looking to you ladies for help, this is just stuff you can't talk about normally, only other ladies going through this understand.....
So af was normal, finished on day CD4. CD9 about 6pm, I went to check my CM (as I do daily) and noted that there was blood on my finger, within the hour I was having a heavy bleed, much like the one heavy day I have in my period. That lasted over night with me having to change my towel in the night. Slowed down to nearly nothing then yesterday afternoon CD10 had another flood, just one though, then seemed to stop. It was very dark red and had a smell about it. Not a bad smell or overly strong smell but a smell nevertheless. What the hell does that mean, have I had another period already? Has my cycle started again? Should I go the doctors or just put it down to one of those weird things that happen with our cycle (especially when we are monitoring this close!) Makes me think that I am out this month before I have even got started Sad

ellewalk · 24/06/2015 10:44

bourbon sorry meant to say unlucky with the driving test but like you said can't have too much good news...but it would be nice. I am hoping to hand my notice in soon but am waiting for the final okay before I do it, I can't wait to do it, bet you feel the same?? Let us know when the contract lands and you do it!

dreamingofmynextsleep · 24/06/2015 10:58

Good morning :) waves
Driving myself mad so thought I needed to write it all down and have someone give me a logical answer!

Ok, so here goes - last AF was 25th May. Ovulated 8th June if EWCM is anything to go by (this is a week earlier than I normally do). From 7dpo I've had really sore, bruised boobs which has never been a PMS symptom for me at all.
Also felt, on and off, like motion sickness but not severe.
At 9-10dpo I started to have awful awful back pain and cramping that meant I could just not get comfortable and I was so bloated I couldn't stand straight from a seated position.
AF was due to arrive over Sunday night but all I experienced was brown spotting Monday lunchtime.
Since then, when I have wiped - just a few times there has been brown spotting but the cramping died down.

Woken this morning, no spotting but the back pain and cramping has returned and my boobs are so so sore!
How positive do you think this is? I don't get paid until Friday and have £4 to my name so I can't test until then! :(

Sodasoda · 24/06/2015 13:01

Hi everyone!

gakay hope you're feeling better. Nice that DP got some brochures so you can plan. And great that we're in sync with AF dates! We can be mad together! It's crazy how the study makes you test so early! When will you do a test? I'm going to really try and hold off until the Thursday before I'm due - I'm out for dinner with friends that night so need to know if I can have a glass of wine or not. But realistically I'll probably test from about Sunday Tuesday!!

bourbon annoying about driving test. I passed mine years ago but haven't driven in years either and my photocard license has now expired! DP keeps telling me I should get some refresher lessons as it would be good to drive for a baby. I'm going to wait til we're married and get a license in my new name then start!

elle sorry you're finding it tough with DTD. I was lucky as I peaked over weekend this month but it's really hard during the week as DP works pretty late. He's been good but he says he's looking forward to being able to have sex when we both want it in next couple of weeks! So it does take its toll.
I'm not really sure about the bleeding. I've spotted between periods before and needed panty liner but never fully. If it was me I think I'd make a note with the details, carry on as normal and then if it happens again next month go to the doctor and explain. Its most likely nothing but best to get checked if it happens again I reckon.

Hi dreaming! I've got no idea really! Some people get very early symptoms like you could be experiencing and others have none at all until AF doesn't arrive. Only way of knowing for sure is taking a test or if AF arrives. Good luck!

RalucaMorena · 24/06/2015 18:52

Hi guys,
I'm 9dpo and I only feel like the house is spinning. I took a test on 7dpo way early and obvious bfn. I don't want to keep testing as bfn is a drag.

gakay · 25/06/2015 09:16

Fxxk! Typed a really long post but lost it!

bourbon sorry about the driving test. If it is any consolation I passed at my 5th attempt. Absolutely hate driving test and lessons! Like you said, can’t have too many good news or we will start getting envious

elle sorry that you find yourself in a similar situation. DP is the same and is often reluctant to DTD. It’s so frustrating when TTC but it also makes me feel very unattractive. Yes, keep trying.
Re: intermenstrual bleeding, I think it may be worthwhile to see GP. It’s probably nothing but it would put your mind at ease. Or you could wait and see if it happens again first. Do whatever makes you feel right.

dreaming welcome on board. I hope those symptoms are early pg signs for you but like soda said, it’s really hard to tell for sure. Hope AF doesn’t get you and your get your BFP when you get to poas.

soda I caved in this morning. I blame it on the trial. And of course it is BFN. Am only 6/7 dpo. Though I did have urinary frequency which was most likely due to the amount of tea and coffee I had y’day

raluca wave
TWW is so hard but it’s probably harder to face disappointment from premature bfn.

Met up with a fd on Tuesday night. She has a 2yo DD. Think she fell pg the first time she tried. She knows I’ve been TTC and have a fertility clinic appt, but seems to think I’m obsessing too much and shouldn’t have been given the appt as not been trying for long enough. She kept saying that I’m getting too stressed over it and it would help if I just relax a bit. Then she kept telling me how hard it is to be a mother and I should enjoy being childless as once I’ve got a DC it’s no return. Guess she was trying to be helpful but was making me furious!

Had a really stressful dream this morning. It was my wedding day but totally disorganised. Thought I didn’t have a wedding dress but mum saved the day. Got the dress but realised forgot to get a basque. Decided it’s not important as could wear any of my old lingerie. Then realised we had completely forgotten to send out wedding invites!! Then I got woken up by my alarm… Guess I really need to relax… 3 more weeks to holiday!

Twasthecatthatdidit · 25/06/2015 09:27

Hello! Can I join too? This waiting game is a killer. ttc my 2nd dc for about 6 months now, initially casually, now with increased and sightly panicked focus. Had a very early miscarriage last cycle (bfp at 10 dpo, started heavy bleeding around 16dpo). Had af since then, and now I'm anywhere between 9 and 3dpo (irregular cycles!) my best guess is I'm 7dpo. Manically symptom spotting - are my breasts tender enough?! Is that a twinge I feel in my uterus?!

Twasthecatthatdidit · 25/06/2015 09:30

Dreaming that sounds very positive to me!

dreamingofmynextsleep · 25/06/2015 11:43

Good morning (although it is nearly the afternoon! Oops)
Just an update. Nothing is happening. Lol so not much of an update. Was due in over Sunday night .. I'm currently 17dpo. The cramping is very much on and off as as is the chronic back ache and the spotting has withered down to one episode a day? My boobs remain sore, but not so bad.. But my nipple has gone white and I don't fit in my bras - I'm blessed with 34G boobs naturally so they are naturally very heavy anyway but I've got a nipple pierced (sorry) and thus know when they are swollen - the bar becomes tight and digs in! :(
Yesterday I was having waves of nausea and on tidying up and looking up to the top shelf I nearly passed out - but I'm eating plenty (maybe more than I would usually) as well as peeing like a racehorse!
I'm super bloated and lying on my side causes a tugging, pulling sensation on whatever side I'm lying on...

But BFN this morning. I was holding out and wanted to wait until after the weekend but after feeling so rubbish yesterday, thought I'd test.
I've since noticed the test is out of date so... Could that cause a false negative..???
All these questions!! Lol

twasthecat.. So sorry to hear about your MC - but feel you on the symptom watching. I've never studied my body so much! :)

ellewalk · 26/06/2015 09:41

Morning all, welcome to all the newbies Smile

gayakYou are so right, finger right on the point it does make me feel unattractive which does nothing for me wanting to make the effort as well! So I took your advice made a GP appointment, to be honest it was bothering me so thought what the hell go ask the GP. The main reason i was bothered was looking book over my diary i noticed that TTC cycle 2 was exactly the same bleeding around dpo9/10 then on off for a good few days. I am now in TTC cycle 4, so it is looking like happening every other month. So GP was helpful, explained that I was not seeing her because I was not pregnant, that could take some time, but rather because of the abnormal bleeding I was noticing. She firstly said the thing that has been on my mind since noticing the pattern, looks like you could not be ovulating every month!! GREAT....then lots of uncomfortable swabs and examination later she asks me to come back on CD21 to have some blood taken they will do a hormone check, then back the week later for all the results!

Just what a 38 year old woman who is TTC wants to hear.

Home after - husbands first comment when told him what had happened at GP and what she had said, "so how long will it be before they are poking and prodding me?" Was i wrong to be angry at this response? Told him very calmly that i had been to the doctor because i had abnormal bleeding and not because i am not pg, should I not find out why I have abnormal bleeding then!! A few more choice words were exchanged and he apologised and gave me a cuddle only to shut me up i think.

So that was the end of what was a s**t Thursday. Now convinced that I am out this month, not only as it been light on DTD but now don't think I have ovulated. Took an OPK test this morning and was a questionable positive, very clear 2 lines and they looked the same depth of colour, but was not darker than the control line. A positive does not mean I have ovulated I know, just that the LH surge is present. So made him come back to bed straight away, the last time we dtd was Sunday!!

God I hope Friday gets better am so fed up and discouraged.

Babydust to all x

Dellabob123 · 26/06/2015 12:09

Hi, can I join you? I'm in 2ww cd 26 af due 4th July. I'm on cycle 2 after coming off cerezette. My ovia app says 6 days til poas but I've had a couple of weird things and wondered if any of you had experienced the same. For the last couple of days I've had cm? After ovulating around 19th. Ovia seemed to think this was good signs of ovulation?.. Plus, today, every time I cough or sneeze I get a weird strained twinge across my pelvic area, kind of uterus area I suppose as its deep inside! I stupidly tested last night and bfn, which I wasn't surprised at as only 7dpo. Have you ladies had this in your 2 ww? I don't normally get this before af......clutching at straws?

Hi everyone,

Another Friday! What's everyone up go over the weekend? I'm hoping to do a lot of wedmin and confirming stuff and have a BBQ planned tomorrow so hoping the sun will shine.

elle - glad you went to the docs. Sorry you're upset about everything but at least you're having some tests now so you'll know if there's something wrong. I'm sure there isn't, but if there is then best to know now rather than after trying for another 6 months. Good news on the OPK though - you never know! Hope your day gets better and you have a nice weekend.

gakay hope you're feeling less stressed. Where are you going in hols? I'm also going away in 3 weeks! Can't wait to chill out and have a bit of sun.

dellabob welcome - you're due on AF same day as me and gakay! I'm in my 3rd cycle TTC. I think when you're in TWW you become hyper sensitive to your body and start symptom spotting all over the place. Last month I had an urge to wee all the time and was convinced I was pregnant! Actually it was the start of cystitis! Ha! I'm trying not to go mad with it now but I know it's hard. The problem is that so many symptoms of early pregnancy and AF are the same - sore boobs, sticky cm etc. Basically none of us know until AF arrives or we do a test. we just need to stay sane / support each other as best we can.

This thread really deserves a BFP! Come on ladies!! Xx

RalucaMorena · 26/06/2015 16:14

Hey! Cd 29 and cramping. Checked cm and no sign of bleeding but one never knows.

gakay · 27/06/2015 10:38

Happy wkn everyone! Sadly mine hasnt started yet as am doing a 24h shift :(

Welcome Twas! I'm sorry about your loss. Yes, TWW is hard, esp after your mc. Hope we can provide you some support and take your mind off manically symptom-spotting

elle am glad you saw an understanding GP and hopefully all the investigations will come back as normal and you get your BFP soon. But if not, you find out sooner and start the process of treatment earlier. That's what I'm telling myself. Am having my CD21 blood on Mon.
Try not to get too upset abt what your DH said. I think sometimes men secretly worry abt their fertility as much as we do... and if it would make them less of a man... perhaps thats why they hate it when we get obsessed, in case we "blame" it on them...

Della hello. Yes, the cm is due to high level of oestrogen which is normal in the mid-luteal phase. And I've had the twinge most of my cycles at around this time as well. Sadly it hasnt given me a BFP. Having said that, it doesnt mean your symptoms arent due to to early pg and you will get your BFP. Just that I've been disappointed quite a lot.

soda We're going to the Lake District - never been b4. Am really looking forward to and hope the weather would be nice. How abt you?

So tmw we're going to see Whose Line Is It Anyway. so excited!

Twasthecatthatdidit · 28/06/2015 14:53

Hope everyone's having a good weekend! Was dying with hay fever yesterday, my eyes were bright red and streaming tears... I know you're not meant to take antihistamine if you're pregant, so what to do when I might be pregnant? What would you do?
Have had a little bit of light brown spotting today and yesterday. Implantation? My head is saying - stop symptom spotting - my heart is saying - oh it might be!

Sodasoda · 28/06/2015 18:02

Hope you've all has good weekends, mine has been lovely. Have also managed not to POAS today which I'm very surprised / proud of! I'm only 7dpo and don't want to see a BFN unnecessarily.

gakay Lake District will be lovely - especially if the sun shines! I'm off to Italy and really looking forward to it. I haven't had more than a day off work (except weekends!) since Christmas so could really do with a break. Did you enjoy Whose line is it anyway?

twasthecat you'll probably be fine but I guess if I was in your shoes I wouldn't take any just to be on safe side. Perhaps you could chat to doctor about what medications might be safe to take?

Sodasoda · 29/06/2015 10:28

Morning all,

TMI alert from me! I'm 8dpo today, AF due on Saturday. Woke up on Saturday night with cramping (not really AF pains, different, can't explain - I thought I'd just eaten too much at a BBQ during the day!) Last night when I wiped I had small amount of brown CM. Today just noticed brown smear in pants. It's very slight and I probably only noticed as I'm wearing white pants! Nothing when I wipe. No AF pains and it really seems quite early for AF. I've never spotted before either. Could this be inplantation bleeding or a positive sign or am I just getting hopes up? No other signs and I've really been fairly relaxed about it all so far this month - for me!!

Dellabob123 · 29/06/2015 11:07

keeping my Fingers crossed Soda

I'm sure my boobs have grown.....4 days until poas

gakay · 29/06/2015 13:01

soda well done for not poas early! I've had so many bfn's this cycle already.
Hmmm... your spotting could be IB if this is not usual for you and you noticed the cramps as well. But remember, all of these signs could also be due to AF coming so try not to get your hopes up too much.
On the contrary, no spotting for me yet which is different to last cycle but my spotting pattern isn't consistent so difficult to know. Have just had my cd21 tests done this morning. Will see what the results show hopefully in a few days time.

Whose line was great! Really funny! There were problems with our train there so ended up missing the first 20 min :(

Ovia says 2 more days till I can test. Hope this is the month. Dreamt last night that I had a BFP. Sadly it didn't come true this morning. Am keep up my hopes but only tentatively.

Sodasoda · 29/06/2015 13:35

Thanks gakay. Feeling pretty deflated, getting some cramps now and feeling like AF on the way. But as well as feeling down about it I also feel a bit confused - I tend to ovulate fairly late (ive had my OPK positives on cd17/18 in previous months but my cycles were 32 days) whereas this month I got my positive on cd20! And I'm now only cd27!! Surely this isn't right? Keeping my fingers crossed for you - hopefully lack of spotting for you is good sign.

gakay · 29/06/2015 17:16

soda hmm... that sounds confusing... perhaps cos you went off pill not that long ago so your cycles are still adjusting. Guess that's another reason to try and not analyse the symptoms too much as too many variables. We'll keep you distracted.
So, how's your wedding planning going?

We've had a look at the brochure DP requested. Think we've agreed on venue style - cosy barn style. Also drafted guest list. Want to visit a few venues in out second week of leave so hopefully DP will propose in the 1st week. Would be a bit weird to visit wedding venues if we are not formally engaged. Wedding venues are do expensive! Any tips on how to get a good deal? Anything we need to watch out for?

sophiedeana990 · 29/06/2015 17:43

Anyone else feeling as if their OH isn't taking TTC seriously enough? It's bloody annoying, obviously I never expect him to take this all as seriously and religiously as me, it's just I feel like I'm all in and he isn't.

Even doing the ONE thing he has to do for me to conceive seems like a chore now, he has a hard time ejaculating (well he won't), without oral and it's really getting me down.

RalucaMorena · 29/06/2015 18:15

Cd2 for me and dh was given notice as week I don't want to hear "I'm tired". He received it okish
