AF Overdue & BFN... Anyone else?

Anyone else overdue for AF and getting BFN's?! Misery/Insanity needs company and all that...

Came off the pill in December as we decided to ttc #1. Had a 34 day cycle the first month, and then settled back to the 28-30 day cycle I have always had since I was eleven, and previously during breaks in the pill over the years went straight back to that pattern. Last few months, I ovulated on CD17/18 so late, but fine.

Anyway, rolling on to this cycle. I thought I wasn't going to ovulate - it finally happened on CD24 (EWCM & positive OPK). I figured it wouldn't come to anything as it was so late and my luteal phase was so short, am pretty sure we didn't even dtd that day quite honestly, though did a few days before (I think!).

Around CD26 I got cramps, which kept going for about a week, and got really sensitive nipples which I usually get beforehand, so figured AF was on her way.

Anyway, long story short, I'm now at CD35. Still mild cramps, but just a bit twingey, and nipples have calmed down massively. And most importantly BFN, have tested the last two mornings in a row and nothing. Am 11dpo - so think it would probably be showing if I was.

Anyone else in the same boat? I don't feel like I'm pregnant this month, but I keep thinking 'what if' and would just like to know either way for sure now!! (I am half hoping to invoke the law of sod with this post - am pretty certain AF will end up starting after all this!)

Seems like we all are the same then, hopefully we all get BFP's soon!
I just rang my doctors and I'm getting a call back, I tested negative this morning so I really have no idea what's going on! Hopefully they can explain or offer me a blood test!

Hi Katherine. What did the doctors say? I'm trying to hold off the doctors but I think I will if no AF this time next week and still getting bfn.

I wonder maybe if sometimes we just skip a period?

Mind if I join? I was posting in a similar thread... I am TTC number 2. I got pregnant first time trying (I might add after 10 years on the pill!!) with DS. I have been TTC on and off since he was born but didn't get periods until 10 months after he was born (probably as I was breastfeeding). Anyway, this time around it is not as easy!

My recent cycles have gone 33-35-38 days then last was 47 days and this one I am on day 49! I have spent a small fortune on pregnancy tests. Having a test free day today. I had a false positive earlier this month (around day 32). It was so strange - I got a good line on a superdrug test and then a few minutes later I also got a positive - a bit lighter though. All other tests have been negative since though. A few people have said it might have been a chemical pregnancy, however, I think it was more a false result as if I were having a chemical pregnancy I assume I would have had a bleed by now?!

Anyway, I really do not think I am pregnant - I had very tingly nipples with my first and I do not have those now but no sign of AF. I have made an appointment with a female GP (the male one I usually see is a bit rubbish!) but that is not till 5th May. I am going to ask for tests. I really wanted to be pregnant by now. I am only 30 so I know I am very fortunate with my age but just want number 2 already!!

In terms of my first pregnancy - I do not know how long my cycles were as like I said I got pregnant first month after coming off the pill but I know that around CD32 (from last period) - after I expected my period that is - I tested negative. I still had symptons and about 5 days later with the same brand of tests I got my BFP.

Any similar stories?

Morning Confused. I saw your other thread that must of been awful! Have you tested again on another superdrug test? I conceived my dd a few weeks after having my implant taken out. Not sure about previous cycles though

Not testing today either but I will have to tomorrow if its not here that will be 13 days late!

The doctor told me to have a blood test, so I went in and had one this morning. Got an appointment to get the results on Tuesday morning so, just have to wait till then!
Until coming on here I never really realised how many people were in the same position as me and my hubby, it's nice to get the support so thank you everyone Smile

Hi Panda - yes I did and in fact I caved today and have done another 2 tests (one of them a superdrug test)- I am such a POAS addict!

I am just a very impatient person generally - If I want something I want it yesterday sort of person!

I buy the bulk tests from amazon. (2.80 for 15) - has anyone else tried them? I get faint lines (usually AFTER the time limit though so prob evaps) all the time. I am fairly certain they are evaps but they def give false hope!

It was such a good line on the superdrug test I did a few weeks ago - was gutted when it turned out to be a falsey!

ttc #1, I'm 16dpo so 3 days late but BFN again this morning on a superdrug test. Being in the dark is the worst! Sad

Ooh glad I found this thread although I just posted one of my own before actually reading whoops I was due on on the 13th, regular every single month, but still no sign of af. Did poas this morning, not fmu, curiosity got the better of me and there was only a dribble left we have dtd to try and get things going which usually works but nothing. Just white discharge (sorry!) and cramps that have me running the the loo at work just so I don't end up bleeding everywhere haha! I have literally no idea what the hell is going on! I hope you all get the bfps that you want!

I want to join! I'm two days late based on dpo (I temp cos my follicular phase can be irregular). I haven't been late since I started temping on October so I keep getting my hopes up, but also keep getting bfn on ic tests, and had an evap on bloody sainsburys test yesterday. Trying to wait until Saturday before splashing out on a frer.

Ovulated last Monday 6th April - I cramp and ewcm around ovulation, so no mistaking - therefore I would be due AF Monday 20th.
Since Monday of this week, however, I've been cramping with serious headache that I cannot shift for the life of me.
In addition, I've had spotting - dark brown Monday, nothing Tuesday or yesterday, some bright red with a clot today and now nothing again. Still cramping and SO bloated!?
BFN yesterday - although that would be early as only 9/10dpo..?

I came off my pill last August and it is only since Christmas that it has regulated each month - 35 day cycles and I feel in control, thankfully! So this week has completely f**ked me up.. Physically and emotionally! :(

mamabird.. Are you sure you didn't ovulate later? That can sometimes make you later than planned? And do you have any symptoms? :)

Hi All, Flowers to coq and Katherine. BFN here this morning and still no AF. Think my cycle has just gone bizarre. Would quite like AF to show up now. Hating bring stuck in this limbo. I'm quite new to all this- conceived really quickly with my DD2 but now been trying for 10 months and getting anxious- I'm almost 40 so really feel like I'm up against the clock nowSad

Welcome new ladies! How are you feeling? I've had the most awful headache since last night along with a bit of heart burn, but not sure if that's the crap was eating yesterday. Very sore boobs too! I almost had two dinners last night. Now I'm probably just being a greedy cow lol but I just can't stop eating! New tests today so if I don't get bfp I'll make a doctors app

Good morning all I can join? Ttc just over 18months, have a fairly regular cycle usually 25 days, and I've never been late. I'm now 4days late and four fat BFN. Really wish AF would arrive so I can get back to ttc!

This happened to me on my last cycle. I was 13 days late, about to book a Dr's appointment for a blood test when the witch showed, it's gutting, like grieving something you never had and symptom spotting every. Single. Day !!! Good luck TTC everyone

Panda - month 1/2 for me!! I've only bled after bd'ing last night and Saturday night, but it's bright bright red blood and only lasts about an hour? I hate being in limbo!! Have you done your poas?!

We've dtd still no AF! I think a positive would of shown up by now so I'm going to just say that I'm not pregnant, wait for the witch to arrive and go from there Grin

Sorry for anyone who has af show up, and all the bfns.

I'm now three days late and still bfn. I'm sure of when I ovulated cos I temp. I'm gonna go to the doctors next week if af hasn't turned up by then. It's annoying cos I'm sure a bfp would have shown up by now, and I have no symptoms at all (apart from missing af of course). I hate being in limbo, wish the witch would just turn up so I can get on with the next cycle! Currently avoiding alcohol just in case.
