Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Option decorations include photographs of political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedinging!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

The rather nobbish article in which we became a little bit notorious is here. We are the dark side of MN. Welcome.

Happy Christmas shagging, shaggers!

Purple my DH bought me "anxiety for dummies", I was initially a bit peeved at his idea of a gift... But it's really useful.

batfish · 03/01/2015 05:38

Welcome sky - I'm another one with thyroid issues! Had my thyroid removed in Jan 2014 and have been on thyroxine since - had originally planned to TTC before I was diagnosed with the thyroid problem but then had to delay and finally got normal blood results in September so stopped taking the pill then. I forget about it often to be honest as feel totally normal now and then when I remember get worried it might affect my TTC or chances of a successful pregnancy but hopefully all be fine, hope it will be for you too.

We had a massive clear out yesterday and it has unfortunately spilled over into today! It is so dull, threw absolutely loads of actual rubbish away though. My wardrobe is bursting yet I have nothing to wear - but don't want to throw anything away! We moved house in May and the 'crap drawer' from the kitchen was literally relocated as it was and I'm only just sorting through it for the first time! And it is exactly that - full of crap. Hoping we finish it all this morning so we can go shopping this afternoon for the new bed that we are going to make our baby in!

Aww lil hope your bruises get better. I seem to recall when I was little my mum used to take arnica for bruising (that sounds like my dad used to beat her - he didn't - just bruised easily) so could be worth a look?

batfish · 03/01/2015 05:40

Oh honey - thyroid issues AND lupus you poor thing!

honeysucklejasmine · 03/01/2015 07:59

Bat I'm a collector... I have endometriosis too!

Lol Lil, i'll tell dh he is making the girls swoon. ;-)

jellypi3 · 03/01/2015 09:41

Morning Viroids.

Lil sorry to hear about the injections :( Must be very unpleasant.

Another High today. Aching from doing an intense workout yesterday so can't tell if I'm bloated or just in pain! Still no sign of the witch today, but still convinced she's on the way (fucking day 17).

Hoping I get a darn peak soon! DP and I DTD last night anyway just to be safe. But the lines on the sticks are getting fainter, so I am sure the monitor has missed it!

What are we all up to on this fine Saturday?

gaggiagirl · 03/01/2015 10:47

Today I am hoovering up the crap from the Xmas tree, then re-building the my little pony friendship sparkles kingdom for the cross ginger.
I've got a date with Jillian Michaels and her 6 week 6 pack that I'm avoiding currently.

mumofmunchkin · 03/01/2015 11:33

Currently trundling halfway across the country for a post Christmas lunch with my Grandma :)

honeysucklejasmine · 03/01/2015 13:10

We have finished wallpapering. I am now working on a ragdoll type toy... Almost down to the shoe on the second leg. The skirt will get longer, honest.

lildottie · 03/01/2015 14:31

honey my sil is knitting a very similar doll for her dd! looks ace.

jelly it's actually not too bad once you start. I thought it would be all consuming but its just 1 extra thing to do for 10 mins in the morning atm. Didn't bruise myself today so hoping i'm back on track. It was bound to happen. I'm sure even nurses and doctors must get it wrong sometimes!
so far ivf really isn't that bad at all. I feel much more chilled about it now we've started, like it's not big deal. the EC and ET just seem like another procedure now, like when i went for hsg.

tut tut to you who are taking Christmas decorations down. The 12th day of Christmas isn't until Monday!

Muddytoes1 · 03/01/2015 16:16

Sorry Lil but I took mine down today too.
Having a bit of a rubbish day today. Feeling bummed out that I'm so tired, been feeling like this for 2 weeks, like I'm walking through treacle. Felt really sick all morning (though a bit better now that I've eaten something). Now in bed with a hot water bottle moping and feeling sorry for myself.

honeysucklejasmine · 03/01/2015 16:18

We took down decorations on the 28th!

Living room all decorated! Beautiful and white and serene. DH is very pleased.

jellypi3 · 03/01/2015 16:39

We never put ours up :/

Leela5 · 03/01/2015 16:57

Hi viroids !

Lil it sounds like you're doing really well but I'm sorry to hear about the bruising :(

We took ours down today too, I was so fed up with how cluttered my house was! I went to see my horse this morning then watched The Returned this afternoon - I'm hooked it's brilliant! Now in bed for a nap before dinner.

Jelly I had 3 weeks of highs after mc before finally a peak. Stick at it, it'll stop asking you if levels drop

jellypi3 · 03/01/2015 17:30

Im partway through season Two of Walking Dead. OMG it's amazing!

SunshinePickle · 03/01/2015 23:07

I need to remember to take my decs down tomorrow. I'm not sure why, but It feels a bit like Christmas hasn't happened even though I did lots of festive bits.

honeysucklejasmine · 03/01/2015 23:30

Do you know, I would highly recommend temping vaginally. Myncharts have been much much clearer since I started doing that. 4dpo here, trying to stay sane in the twot.

Finished all the decorating! We've done pretty much every room over the last year, so it's great to be finished! Wooooooo! Okay so we will need to paint in the kitchen a little bit cause of the leak we had the other day and resulting holes in the ceiling and wall, but otherwise we are done!

Did I mention the leak? Five hours the plummers were here. Going to cost the excess (£350!) and get a decorator in. Apparently we get a quote, then send it to insurer, they either do or do not approve it, then they send us the cost of the repairs minus our excess. I guess £350 isn't bad to fix a leak, considering how complicated it was, but its not what we needed in January!

deeplybaffled · 03/01/2015 23:32

Hi lil and everyone.

still lurking here, and so far, bean is still sticking, so tentatively about to head over to the js grads thread....feels like tempting fate, but going to be bold!

hope to see you ALL over there very, very soon - thanks for all your support so far.
x

Purplecircle · 03/01/2015 23:37

Hurray Deeply, gx for you

Our whole house needs decorating but we are going to extend this year or next so I have to live with it looking battered! The colour scheme isn't bad, it's very neutral which I like but it's unloved in a big way....think leak not fixed and rotten plasterboard!

I'm still avoiding symptoms and not thinking about them mostly
I am off the sauce for the TWOT though in the interests of helping sticky beans

Who's next to test? Would be lovely to have some bfps to start the ny

ChatEnOeuf · 04/01/2015 08:39

Yes do come over to the grads Deeply Smile

Our decs are coming down today, feels like the tree missed our Christmas as it was only up for about a week before we went away.

GX twotters!

jellypi3 · 04/01/2015 09:20

Good luck Deeply :)

Another high today on the monitor! I am hoping that it's missed it this month, because if I do get a peak now it's going to be one serious LP defect!

Anyway, CD18 today, no idea what DPO (if any) but I did have serious stabby pains in my left side a few days ago, so I am going to claim 3DPO!

LaLa5 · 04/01/2015 09:31

Jelly if af does arrive (which I hope it doesn't) it should adjust and be more accurate 2nd month. Or you might be like me and not ov til cd25!

SunshinePickle · 04/01/2015 09:41

Honey oh no... although £350 is not too bad to pay for it all to be fixed, it's still £350 that could be spent on lovely other things. It's stuff like this that makes me dislike being a grown up.

Deeply Have my gx crossed for you, enjoy life on the grads thread! Hopefully we'll all be joining you over there soon.

Leela I have no idea what DPO I'm on, but AF due 13th so will probably POAS 15th or 16th if no AF.

jellypi3 · 04/01/2015 09:49

I hope no la (is that a name change????) because my cycles are 26 days!! lol!

jellypi3 · 04/01/2015 09:51
