PCM was going to post on the other thread, but glad I saw this one first.

You are being too hard on yourself. An op is a MAJOR thing and you need to give your body time to recover. Being tired is just making it all seem worse than it is.

Chill out, relax and watch some girlie movie DVD's, drink copious cups of tea and eat choccie biccies. THAT'S AN ORDER!!!
xx

ShowOfSeveredHands · 06/10/2006 13:13

Ooh a new sofa...

...the other one was covered in coffee stains, wine, chocolate, tears, holes where we've sat too long or picked too hard at a thread.

I love the new, improved sofa and it's so chintzy. And the beanbags are a great addition.

Hey JL! How are you feeling?

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 13:16

And a warm throw for PCM who should be on here at all times eating chocs and relaxing. x

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/10/2006 13:20

Not too bad. Tired. Sore almost "stretchy" boobs?!? IYKWIM.

Nausea, but thankfully no vomiting yet. Had a scan on Tues and saw a heartbeat, so feeling almost positive about the whole thing!

Bit worried about my sister, but feeling a bit helpless there. Hoping I will get some tips on what to do off the bereavement thread. There have been some lovely posts on there.

13mm eh, that's 2 1/2 times the size of my pod. How many weeks are you now?

ShowOfSeveredHands · 06/10/2006 13:34

Aah Juicy, I know that 'stretching' feeling well. The only real symptom I've had is very sore boobs and fatigue so I've been pretty lucky on that front. Yesterday's scan put me at between 8 and 9 weeks which is very exciting. I've never been between 8 and 9 weeks pregnant before!

I think it comes across resoundingly how much you love and care for your sister and how much you want to help her and as long as she at least knows that you're probably helping more than you realise. When my SIL died, my db said the most important thing to him was that people talked about what was happening and asked questions or remembered the good times. I hear that so many times, that people become strangers in grief because we're too British to talk about it. I think about you and your dsis and dnephew often. Wishing you lots of love and luck (still can't take your name seriously though!- says she with a stupid Halloween name).

Hi Natty! How're you?

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 13:56

I am good thanks 10DPO so jsut waiting for AF to arrive in a few days, didn't bd much at the important time so not holding out much hope.

The weeks seem to be flying past with you. x

coggy · 06/10/2006 23:29

Sooooooooooooooo lovely to hear about you two Juicy and SOH.
I'm so, so SO glad it's all now going a bit smoother for both of you.

Juicy....I've got some 'helpful' info about sudden death of an older child if you want me to post that for you.....here or on your bereavement thread.
Let me know.
X

PCM.....your friend sounds very wise!!!!!!

I too was most shocked (and excited) about being told that there were too many posts on our thread.....whoo hoo!!!!!

New sofa.......?
I'm loving it!
Glad it's bigger than the old one now that we have these big fat pg women to accomodate over the next few months!!!!!!

HalloweenSucks · 07/10/2006 10:01

Cheeky mare. You want to be careful. Me an JL will sit on you instead, one on each leg and then we'll see who's calling us big fat and pregnant!

SOH

coggy · 07/10/2006 11:16

LOL!!!

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 08/10/2006 10:34

Morning ladies. Wanted to sneak in early (for a Sunday) and plop my big, fat, pregnant bottom (it's vast) onto your new sofa to check the springs.

Hope you're all enjoying the autumn weather - my favourite time of year.

Coggy: wanted to catch up. Are you definitely starting IUI next month if no luck this month? Which CD are you on?

I'm around more now, as MS has (finally) eased off at 19 weeks. Phew.

Natty: I'll keep an eye out for you over the next few days and pray aunty keeps away.

desperate2bmum · 08/10/2006 13:58

Not going to start IUI until January we've decided. Have a nice relaxing Christmas and then begin 2007 in ernest!!

Can'r believe I actually typed 1997 and had to delete it!!!
Where have those ten years gone????????!!!!

Got to go.....I'm playing piano on the stage infront of thousands this afternoon and evening!!!
...well....not exactly thousands...about one thousand if it's full....or 800 possibly!!!!!!

Desperate....go for it (BD-wise) and then do another test tomorrow too to see what it shows.

natty i will still keep fingers crossed for you

pussycatmomma · 08/10/2006 20:10

quick poll........who will confess to drinking alcolhol while they are ttc?? i completly stopped for about 6mths, but admit to drinking wine a few times a week when i found out we had a slight non-appearance of egg problem. Figured if i wasnt gonna get pregnant anyway there was no point depriving myself. However, as I am now back in the running for ttc, whats the current trend? Last night was the first night since a week before the op that i had a glass of red with dh. Was divine . But hands up if you dont drink at all whilst ttc, and who thinks its safe etc etc ........
By the way, no slopping hot chocolate on the new sofa, its got to last us till 1000 posts remember! (((pusscat arranges the footstools and pouffes for the pregnant among us))))
love to all x x x
