Good idea Natty.

Here's my sad little chart for this month!!!!

OP posts:
ladybump · 12/11/2006 10:19

morning stretch!!!
I agree whole heartedly with jealousy and the man thing. was just feeling pressure last night and when DH did that it was the straw that broke the camels back! I know everything in moderation is fine but was just feeling extremely frustrated. i suppose copping a feel of my BF baby moving inside her and the emerging green eyed monster in didn't help....
Here's to more relaxed Sunday. Taking to other people like this is so theraputic. All is in perspective in my head now. Thank god for MN

Natty1806 · 12/11/2006 12:25

Coggy big hig from me babes. xxxxx

One of my friends is 20 weeks preggers and finding out the sex this week (fell pregnant without really trying, when i asked so when do you think the little one was conceived she turned to me and said no idea, think the only people who know that are ones who don't have much sex )

Anyway MEN - my OH still gets drunk 2/3 times a week and smokes 20 a day!!! and when i got my bfn last week (he did not know that i had done a test but knew AF was coming) and cried over my ASDA order being wrong he took me off to walk the dog with friends and there 10 month old baby. No idea that it is times like that i would like to be taken out and get very drunk and do things that people with babies or pregnant women can't do.

Sorry rant over.....it's your lots fault you got me started.

Coggy - thought you were starting IUI in Jan?

Natty1806 · 12/11/2006 12:26

sorry coggy that should be hug not hig no idea what a hig is. x

coggy · 12/11/2006 14:01

I'll welcome a hig or a hug thanks!!!

IUI will start (hopefully) in January but we can have 4 sessions so may well still need the old sperm in March!!!
Let's hope not eh?

Last night's selection of bumps and babies did do one really positive thing for me.....I am actually looking forward to starting my IUI....shock.....horror.....!!!!
I am NOT looking forward to the injections/stress etc but I think I am coming to the conclusion (slowly!!) that it isn't going to just happen and I want to hurry up and get on with it now which is REALLY good and a big change from a couple of months ago when I was just really scared of it all!!!!!

If we couldn't rant and express our frustation/jealousy on here....where would we????

Afternoon Ladies! Not had much time to catch up, just got up about half hour ago didn't get to bed till 3am though, DH's are differently not on the some wave length as us when it comes to TTC there with you when to comes to PG testing and get disappointed and so on, but the Ov-tests, temp, cm and all that, they haven't get a clue and wonder why we get excited about it, and tell us we're just getting to stressed over it, when we do mention these things. I am just so sick of people telling me, I'm trying to hard, thinking about it to much, I'm getting to stressed and every one say just forget about it al it'll happened sooner that way, you WHAT! Sorry for rambleing gets me back up thats all!
DS much better thanks ladies for all your concern for him!
And I know where your all coming from with the bumps and babies thing, I have my brother and his GF coming round on Wednesday and she is 33 weeks pg, so I'll be relying on you ladies to cheer me up the following day!
Got to go I'll catch up tomorrow and check the charts out tomorrow too! Bye-Bye for now missing you all, Babydust for all! Babymadxx

MrsMcJnr · 12/11/2006 16:54

Hey ladies. I see you've all been having a time of it in the last 48 hours .

I know exactly how you all feel and with some friend or other's baby due nearly every week at the mo, there is no escaping that constant reminder that we are not expecting.

This weekend has been an odd one but perhaps good for putting things into perspective for me. I had a long chat with my Mum on Sat morning. As she lives abroad and I don't want to worry her about things, I only tell her positive things normally but on Sat when DH was at the football, it all came out, how the house isn't shifting, money is worrying us, my job is on the brink, PIL nagging about grandchildren and DH's back. I said that whilst the world isn't fair and I appreciate that, why can't things go our way a bit and why do the first few months of our marriage need to be so stressful. I didn't mention TTC thought hat is the most upsetting thing of all and neither did she really, but she seemed to know that that was what was upsetting me the most and made me feel really positive about turning negatives around. My Mum is great like that . So I spent the afternoon getting ready for and really looking forward to our dinner party.

We had 9 friends over, all at different stages, singles, couples with children but not having more, couples about to get married etc so children weren't really a topic of discussion. The meal went well and everyone seemed to be having fun until about 1am when everyone had had too much to drink and someone mentioned the C word (Cancer). Well, that was it; a girl's sister is recovering from chemo after breast cancer and she voiced how she felt about it not knowing that one of guys round the table had been told that day that his sister who has fought breast cancer 3 times is now officially losing the battle and might not see another year. She has a 7 year old. Then the bride to be (fiancee of guy with sick sister) started crying because her mother has secondary cancer and then it came to light that the another girl had had cancer whilst she was pregnant 7 years ago and her DHs sister died last year at 36 of it.

Bloody hell, what a night, tears all round and it certainly put life into perspective. The last people left at 4.30am so I am feeling shattered today - pretty heavy, adult stuff but I guess, if you can't get it out to friends then how do you let off steam!

Babydust to you all.

MrsMcJnr · 12/11/2006 17:22

Natty & Babymad - Vit C. More than 1000mg/day can dry up CM.

MrsMcJnr · 12/11/2006 17:31

Been chart spotting!

Stretchmarks - see what you mean about the rule of thumb but it looks like you are getting lots of chances stored up for IV when it does happen .

Coggy - wonder why your saliva ferning is the other way round from mine and from 3cats?

Babymad - CD11 for you and I noticed that you aren't getting any ferning on your microscope either - when did you start getting ferns last cycle?

3cats- do you think you OVd today? lots of action on your chart too!

Natty1806 · 12/11/2006 17:52

Thanks Mrs only have 60mg so should be okay.

Glad you had a good chat with your mum no what you mean about the big 'c' my bf has just had another ab normal smear and needs to go for more tests (she had a colosocopy about 1 ½ ago) she is only 25 so am very worried about her.

Well my afternoon of going to the pub for a drink and a chat with people who aren't ttc didn't turn out well. The friend of mine who is 20 wks turned up and that is what everyone was talking about and more and the worst thing is i hate myself for feeling this way but no matter what can't change the way i feel.

coggy · 12/11/2006 18:30

I was amazed at how violently I felt last night Natty....didn't help that one little girl there was my DSs age (we were at ante-natal class together and she became a friend.....I know her husband fairly well).
I guess we just have to accept our feelings and not feel bad about them.....again, thank goodness we can't freely rant and rave on here!

MrsMc............traumatic evening!!!!!
In answer to the salvia question.....bluntly put......I wee not spit!!!!!
Does that help????!!!!!!

Blimin' bad timing eh??!!!

OP posts:
ready4motherhood · 12/11/2006 19:04

Slightly embarrassing request... Sorry to barge in on your chart spotting thread !! Would it be ok if I looked at your charts ladies?? I have looked at all of them a couple of times, but felt really nosy. YI thought "what am I like?? I am looking at people's private charts without permission"... feel a tad rude! So I thought it best to ask if you wouldn't mind me having a good nose every now and then???

I am charting my temps (and noting CM), got a little booklet with my thermometer. Don't really want to start with any software just yet... want to see how I get on this way for a little while. But would like to be able to see what other people's temperatures look like.

Would that be ok???

Natty1806 · 12/11/2006 19:12

Yeah feel free to look that's what it is there for.

bad timing coggy... where you going? Anywhere nice? Mine is due the day of the clothes show so will be feeling fat and bloated, but def in the mood to spend money.

coggy · 12/11/2006 20:10

Ready4...........look away.....no worries about it myself.

Natty we are off on a secret long weekend.....well I know where we're going but it is for DHs birthday so a surprise for him......not going to say just in case he finds out too soon!!!!!
One major prob is that we can only have a tiny amount of luggage......I wasn't really planning on only taking piggin' tampax!!!!!!

BBWBabeLisa · 12/11/2006 22:23

Evening ladies! So sorry I've not been keeping up with the thread. Am finding being on my own with little'un more of a struggle than I thought I would. It's certainly making me appreciate how much DH does when he's here. Doesn't help that she's teething.
My free trial of the software expired today and I bought the full version, so I'm committed to it now!
Babymad - how you getting on with your saliva microscope? I was outbid on ebay, will have to have a browse again when I get a minute. Gonna go try and grab something to eat now before I collapse into bed.
Natty - no chance of a BFP b4 xmas here, DH won't be home til around the 17th, and hopefully (I know the software hasn't got much to predict with yet) I'll be ov'ing a day or two later, so crossing fingers for a BFP in January. Am really hoping one or more of you lot gets your bfp before xmas though, that'd be so great.

Babymad2DS · 13/11/2006 07:56

Morning Ladies.
CD12 today and DS is better but staying home with mummy today so loads to do today and a little man under my feet could work I've had lots of watery CM and a bit EWCM for the past 6 days, plus, high and V.open today Soz if TMI, but that's where I'm at, at the moment. Regarding my "saliva microscope", I'm still getting use to it, and still working out the best times to take it, due to I have better results it the late morning/early after noon time, but trying not to eat/drink/brush teeth for 3 hours, is a bit hard to at times, as I forget and grab something than after wards, really pi**ed off with my self for forgetting! Oh well I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon, I have been getting ferns but not the ferns that say your fertile I'm in the "transitory period" but my software only lets me put in infertile or fertile, no transitory period . And the biggest problem's I have are A) timing, B) I have no other months to compare to, C) I cant count them all and say if I have more to today then yesterday. Might just take other month or two to get the hang of it, something to keep me occupied in the mean time! Back later loads to do today!

stretchmarks · 13/11/2006 08:59

Morning all,

My temp was up again this morning so I may have ov'd won't really know until tomorrow , see what my temp is then.

This fern thing sounds interesting I've not heard of them at all until I've been on these threads - might have a look at them today as I culd do with something else to check as well as temps and I keep forgetting to note my CM.

1n2s · 13/11/2006 09:46

Babymad2DS - Thanks for the tip of benzomycacin gel for the spots - I may just try some next time I go see the GP. Is it one of those spot creams that not only bleaches everything you wear but peels off the top layer of your skin, so you are all dry and flakey rather than spotty? If I try I'll let you know how I get on MrsMcJr

A question for all you expert ladies ......I have been good this month and have not caved in to using the OKT (as they've been ruling my life for the last 6 months!!). I'm now on CD16 and we have been BDing every other day for the last week. For the first time I haven't noticed any ovulation pains which is wierd for me as I normally get sharp period type pain for 1-2days around day 11ish. My skin is also great so far and I haven't broken out in spots which I also do around ovulation. Do you think this means I haven't ovulated this month? This is a bit unusual for me - what does anyone think? Could it just be the pill which is finally out of my system?

3catstoo · 13/11/2006 10:08

Morning Ladies,

Sounds like alot of you had very busy social lives over the weekend.
Hope you've all recovered.

Haven't chart spotted yet so not sure who's about to Ov or who's already in the 2ww.

Bit of strange cycle for me. Although I had some EWCM, it wasn't much at all. Normally it's really obvious but this time I wasn't even sure whether to record it as there was so little. Same with the lube. Temps have risen though but I'm not sure if I did Ov or not.
Tried to get lots of BDing in but didn't manage last night as we were both too busy and too tired .
I find it hard to determine CM after BDing. TMI warning !!!! I have to put semen obscured because it seems to take all day to seep (sp?) out (doesn't bode well if it's going the wrong way!).
Got lots of ferns today but definately no fertile CM .

Thanks for the info on the spot gel.

Ready4, feel free to nose at the chart.
Off to do some nosing myself now.

Glad DS is better Babymad. A day home with Mummy sounds fab. Make the most of it.

BBWL, hope DD's teething doesn't last too long.
I can sympathise though, my DD is teething, last 2 molars. She's not in the happiest mood today and wanted Daddy this morning. When I told her he had gone to work already she said we will pick him up from the station later though Mummy. Poor thing, she's always in bed when he gets home. All 3 are in bed as he gets home between 8.30 and 9.30pm.
It must be even harder when DH is not there at all. I hope your month goes quickly so you can all be together soon.

1n2s · 13/11/2006 11:02

3catstoo - re checking the CM after BD'ing around ovulation time, I know exactly what you mean. How can you tell what the CM is doing for the other getting in the way?? I find this knicker checking very perplexing at times

MrsMcJnr · 13/11/2006 12:03

Morning all.

Coggy - I'm confused, sorry old chum but can you elaborate on the wee thing?! My instructions said you could use CM but they didn't say anything about wee? Also, the weekend away might be prefect timing if you are celebrating .

Natty - hello. Sorry that the evening didn't go as planned . If my cycle goes back to it's usual 28 days, AF is due 3/12 but if it is like last time, it'll be 5/12 - same as you. Either way, I won't even think about testing until 6/12 - date for our diaries Natty?

Ready - you are more than welcome on here anytime and to check out my chart. That's why we posted them, so we can all learn from each other. If we can help at all, let us know.

Hello BBW - sorry that things are hard for you at the mo, it must be exhausting on your own . I bought a saliva microscope on accessdiagnostics.com, was a bit more expensive than BM's but wanted one for this cycle. So far nothing but I'm only CD8. Sorry to hear that there is no chance of a Christmas BFP but I am sure a NY one would do just as well! Babydust to you.

Babymad - gald to hear DS is feeling better. Your signs sound good! I know what you mean about finding the right time to use the microscope, I never go 3 hours without some kind of food! Good to hear that you have been getting some ferns, annoying about your chart not being able to show the 3 stages.

1n2s - I seem to feel differently every cycle, some no pain, others tons. Might be the pill changing things for me too but there seems no rhyme or reason. Hope it means good things for you.

3cats - I'd record the EWCM anyway, I think the rule is that you record the best you get in any day. Have you been drinking enough water? that can have an impact. Re CM after BDing, do you do keggle pelvic floor exercises? I do them before going to the loo from about an hour after BDing to get rid of any excess semen. TW book recommended it.

Off to chart spot...

MrsMcJnr · 13/11/2006 12:40

Charts are looking good - Natty, I have added a yoga line to mine as started again this morning. intend to do some puff tonight, it's been a long time

Natty1806 · 13/11/2006 13:04

Did not fit in any yoga at weekend, but plan to do some exercise this evening.

06.12.06 - will test then, depending if i ov CD15 again , no testing before AF due. Also i am away for a friends weekend 01-12.06 - 03.12.06 so not taking my temp then so it will be less stressful and i can enjoy myself.

Natty1806 · 13/11/2006 13:05
