Manic symptom watching!

Babymamababy · 01/10/2014 20:15

Hi all,

This is a place for all manic symptom watchers to share stories and convince themselves they have each other's symptoms! Nothing like a healthy dose of mania to ease the real anxiety and worry ttc can cause!

I myself have just recently started ttc and have seen myself go from a fully rounded adult to a manic symptom checker.
So today's symptom is a pinchy like pain in my left lower abdomen...could be wind...but no...as a manic symptom checker...I'm convincing myself it's a sign of implantation!
I will share a new one everyday. Please add your own...I want to have them too&!

Oh no dizzy fingers crossed it doesn't last long- hope you're being waited on Wink.
Yes far too early, can't seem to help myself. Think I'll test daily with cheapo strips as I have so many... Then probably get the implant put in again in the new year if bfn, though I'm secretly hoping I get a bfp this month Xmas Wink

Beachmummy3 · 21/12/2014 12:21

Only 7-9dpo. I love poached eggs. Apart from today Sad gagged on it & thought I was going to throw up. Nooooo. But perhaps a symptom?
Any other symptom spotters out there?

Beachmummy3 · 21/12/2014 12:23

Sorry kelbri just seen your post. Which brand of tests have you used? I got positives with my 3 dc's early with first response. But perhaps a digital one would be good for you incase you're not seeing faint lines? Maybe.

dizzylemon · 21/12/2014 17:53

I used a cheapo on Friday and got bfn. Still my cycles are not steady atm. Apps are telling me AF is due, but that's based on averages.

Sounds promising Beachmummy. I hope you get what you want. Have your symptoms been different for each dc? Have you seen the did you just know' thread?

Kelbri: sometimes it takes a bit of time for the hcg to develop. Wait until it's a week late?

Hormonal symptoms are so similar. How does one ever know :)

Beachmummy3 · 21/12/2014 20:49

Haha yes! Period, change in contraception hormones, pregnant, all in the mind...? Xmas Confused

Dh walked in from work this evening. I'm a none smoker so always hate the smell anyway but tonight he smelt like... A box of burning cigarettes, assured me he'd done nothing differently but I thought I was going to vomit... Calmed down a bit. The. He ate the leftover onion bajhis I'd happily eaten earlier. Oh my the smell! Got me going again. He said 'you do know you're pregnant don't you'!! But then the subject changed & we put it down to maybe a bug or tiredness.

Yes, with dc1 I only tested as I was about a week late on period. No symptoms I was aware of at the time, I just loved dairy & cereal.
Dc2 I tested maybe a day before my period was due, no symptoms just felt pregnant. Symptoms came later again.
Dc3 I tested really early on a cheapie on Christmas eve & got uber faint bfp, didn't tell dh. Took frer Boxing Day, faint bfp, showed dh but he didn't believe me said it was too faint to be positive! That time I'd had a metallic taste in my mouth one day & sore boobs.
Realised today dc3 concieved around 13th dec & got my cheapie bfp on the 24th.... So if I am this time I should get bfp this Wednesday-Friday gong by last time.

Did cheapy again, before time was up holding up to light & squinting there's an incredibly faint line, but it's not pink. Looks more like an indentation where a positive would show. But I've never had that before. Any ideas?

Beachmummy3 · 21/12/2014 20:50

dizzy when do you think you'll test?

Pixa · 21/12/2014 23:02

I am hating waiting at the minute. AF is due on Wednesday but will probably test on Tuesday because I am impatient. We managed to DTD every day around suspected ovulation, have our fingers crossed. No symptoms yet. Although every day DH asks me if I have had any blatant signs. Haha.

kelbri29 · 21/12/2014 23:41

beachmummy nausea sounds promising though, thats similar to mine! maybe wait a day or two and retest? heard the pink ones are better!
Grin im 4 days late tomorrow, most of the symptoms seem to be calming down now, still getting weird cramps though and lots of cm. nausea is still there but not as bad as it was, and everything smells and tastes off! and still got this weird bloating really low down, feels like somethings in the way when i lie on my front, bit like having a full bladder Confused i cant wait til a week late, i'll go insane so going to buy a couple of tests tomorrow, and see how i get on! i used the cheap tesco brand before so maybe there just rubbish lol

Beachmummy3 · 22/12/2014 08:04

kelbri I'm sure I keep reading super drug own are good? I like first response. I believe clear blue ones pick it up a few days after others?
pixa well done not poas yet!

dizzylemon · 22/12/2014 09:28

Not sure when to retest. Cycle day 37 and still nothing. No ourstanding symptoms either (bad back doesn't really count). I may wait until I'm past my longest cycle (42 days on my last one). I need to get a pcos related blood test in first few days so it's very annoying :)

Good luck all. BFPs for Christmas!

Beachmummy3 · 22/12/2014 09:38

Can they test for hcg at the same time?

dizzylemon · 22/12/2014 18:26

If I've got AF then there may be no point testing for hcg though I hear that having periods when pregnant is possible :)

Boyle1884 · 22/12/2014 18:36

Can I jump in ladies... I'm ttc#1. Since ov I've had a range of symptoms from cramping, brown cm, and horrendous waves of fatigue and nausea. Some days my nipples are agony but this has now reduced and they have grown a bra size.

Tonight I'm having what feels like a hot flush and my cheeks and neck are burning and blotchy. Also tried to have a glass of wine and managed one sip before I felt sick.

Trying to convince myself I'm not PG because I don't want to get my hopes up. Af due on Wednesday... And don't know whether to test early?!

Beachmummy3 · 22/12/2014 19:06

Test Smile and let us know how you get on x

kelbri29 · 22/12/2014 19:12

beachmummy3 tested again this afternoon and still BFN! had enough of this now, still nauseous, threw up again this afternoon :/ if im not pregnant what the hells going on!!! dont know what to think anymore!! did you retest??

Beachmummy3 · 22/12/2014 21:42

:-( sorry to hear that kelbri.... Umm.... Could you be very stressed? That could make you late? Which test are you using? Have you tried 1st response? Perhaps after Christmas phone your gp to ask? Though fingers crossed for a bfp before then!!
I nosed at countdowntopregnancy website, tesco tests looked good for early testing, so I brought a pack & tested this eve, bfn of course. I think the earliest I'd get a faint bfp would be Xmas eve or Xmas day (I don't intend to test on the latter!)

kelbri29 · 22/12/2014 21:47

beachmummy ooh i dunno wouldnt a bfp be a great xmas pressie!! im no more stressed than normal Confused im thinking maybe i have a cyst or something if im not pregnant cos of this weird swelling in my uterus area, and the throwing up. i hope not, im going to see the doctor straight after xmas if no bfp whether af turns up or not, something definitely isnt right Sad

Beachmummy3 · 22/12/2014 22:13

:-( sorry to hear that, though with all the googling I've done for me, I have seen that some ppl ovulate later than they think some/all months & so can get a bfp later than others? Have you tried 1st response test? I've also read superdrug own are very good?
If I got a faint Xmas eve then I'd do 1 Xmas day to show dh (& pretend it's the 1st- he still doesn't know I got uber faint bfp on Internet cheapy Xmas eve 4years ago before showing him faint bfp on 1st response test Boxing Day morning) Xmas Smile. He doesn't believe faint lines are true positives- of course we know better Wink
No more symptoms here for me today though x

Beachmummy3 · 23/12/2014 07:42

Bfn with fmu here.... I wee for a couple of seconds then collect in pot (ic), Is this right? I never know which part of the flow to collect

McBaby · 23/12/2014 08:20

Can I join in I feel like I'm going crazy. I haven't had a period since nov 2011 as I had dd1 in August 12 caught the first egg and had dd2 in April 2014.

We dtd on 10th and for last week I have had back ache, head aches, constant nausea, cramping, constant thirst and that taste in my mouth. I have taken test the last couple of day but negative but I feel pregnant but obviously have no idea when or if I ovulated or is this my body gearing up to have a period for the first time in over 3 years.

Pixa · 23/12/2014 09:23

Sorry to hear that Kelbri and Beachmummy.

Fmu test and I am so so confused. I think I see something, but not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, whether it's an evap or a shadow. DH is useless when it comes to tests. I guess I have to wait to test again tomorrow but fingers are firmly crossed here. This is our third cycle trying so still early days but we have wanted to try since early 2013 so it's a long time coming!

Beachmummy3 · 23/12/2014 09:47

Ooh good luck pixa!! Was the line slightly pink/blue (depending on your test)? Hopefully will be darker for you tomorrow!! Smile

mcbaby sounds hopeful!!
I'm here as I started my pill pack a few days late, but now feel Id be disappointed if Im not pregnant... I'm assuming if I did ovulate it was on days of missed pills, although I did feel a popping/cramping/stabbing on the 15th, so could that have been ovulTion? If it was then I'm only 8dpo Confused

dizzylemon · 23/12/2014 09:59

McBaby - sounds promising. And since you've been through it bfore and you feel it then it must be true. Tricky when AF isn't behaving. Does AF stop during breastfeeding?

Beachmummy - it should all be the same really so doesn't matter when you start collecting. Concentration only differs by when in the day you go and how much you've had to drink (which is why they suggest first morning wee!)

kelbri - I'm 7 months off the pill now and my cycles have no settled. AF is MIA for me too. Go to the doctor when you can?

My morning cupper made me nauseous this morning. Sign? Figure I may test again tomorrow. Feel less bad about with the internet cheapies :)

Beachmummy3 · 23/12/2014 10:08

Ic are brilliant! Smile

McBaby · 23/12/2014 10:48

Yes period can stop if your breastfeeding how long varies person to person and baby to baby.
