coggy · 06/09/2006 19:20

I don't know what my DH would say if I produced something like that!!!!!

I think he'd be well-chuffed with the basque tho!!!

Did you do your big underwear shop too or is this just the beginning......??!!

Natty1806 · 06/09/2006 19:31

Quick few questions if any of you can help

If i take clomid day 2-6 when will i ovulate? or is it al dependant on you own body? I have a scan on CD9-13 will this show if i am about to ovulate?

When should i start using OPK if i do decide to use them?

How long will my cycle be? Or is everyone different?

Am on CD43 today so anything less than 35 will be a blessing.

Sorry i properly sound really thick.

coggy · 06/09/2006 20:01

You don't sound thinck at all.
I usually go for a scan around CD12....they check the follicle size and, in my case, give a jab to release them so I don't need a opk those months.

Start using the opks after your scan......they'll give you an idea of poss ov date based on how big your follicles are.
Then get your gear out!!!!!

Cycle lengths????!!
LOL!!!! The first three months of clomid for me suddenly went haywire from 24days to 36!!!
Most confusing.....I thought it was supposed to make it easier!!!!!!

thanks for that, at least i know not to waste the tests before i go, have had some more spotting only a tiny bit and have got a few cramps and have my usual tell tell sign ( dodgy tummy) so fingers crossed tomorrow she arrives in full force. When i had accupunuture the lady managed to change it so that i have no spotting before and she would just arrive suddenly, something to do with build up engery waiting around if spotting before hand but think lots of ladies have what i have with the spotting a day or two before. i prefer the warning in a way, will be interesting to see if temp drops tomorrow.

as for cycle lengths no the wiser then, just hope i do ovulate. double fingers crossed. xx

coggy · 06/09/2006 22:23

Quadruple fingers as mine are crossed for you too.

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 07/09/2006 08:18

The finger crossing didn't work so will continue to take the period inducing tablets and hopefully will be on next Friday, if not will have to see gp again.

coggy · 07/09/2006 08:39

Should have crossed our toes too I guess.

Just got my letter from the clinic with IUI meeting details.

It gives us a list of tests we need to retake and then bring the results with us.
My blood tests need to be taken between CD2 and 4.
I got the letter this morning on CD5.
Aaaaaaarrrgh!!!
I won't be able to do them before I go - how annoying!!

Also...they've married me off to a different husband!!
Same first name but totally different surname - not even vaguely similar!!!
I'd best not have a DNA test if I fall pg by IUI....I could be using some other guy's sperm if they are that disorganised!!!!!!

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 09/09/2006 14:53

they do make silly mistakes.

Bet your really annoyed about the blood test, what a pain in the a@#

coggy · 09/09/2006 15:34

Well it is isn't it?
She could have told me that on the phone last week and I could have organised it yesterday or Thursday.

When I go to my appointment I'll be on CD21 so totally no use!

The only consulation is that they seem to be screening bloods like rubella rather than hormone levels (not quite sure why the days are so specific tho...unless I've missed something?) and I've had all these a MILLION times before so I'm not worried about the results being late.

May put it off for an extra month eh??!!

coggy · 09/09/2006 15:37

BTW Natty......Wanta suddenly appeared this morning on the 'Coggy' thread and I had a good chat with her.
Thought I'd let you know if you want to catch up with what's been going on.

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 09/09/2006 16:25

Thanks coggy i saw her on the twenty somethings thread.

She seems really happy

Yeah am sure you won't mind it being put off an extra month.

coggy · 09/09/2006 18:48

...you're quite right!!!

OP posts:
happyhippy · 09/09/2006 18:58

hi ladies i took clomid this month and am on cd28 and next monday am having ultrasound thing to check my tubes and stuff will i still be able to have this done if i have af and how long does a cycle last on clomid my normal if you can call it that is 36 days

coggy · 09/09/2006 21:52

Hiya Happy Hippy.
Not sure if I can answer your questions but....

My cycles when I first took clomid were weird.
I was always a 28-32 day-er but on clomid it varied from 24 to 36...so it confused me!!!

(Told you I was no help!!)

I guess the ultrasound is external so it shouldn't matter if you have AF.
If it's internal you may want to discuss it as it would a) be a bit grim for you with AF and b) you may be pg so poss not a good idea?

If it's external then they'll be no probs I guess.

I have no experience....just my thoughts.
HTH.

OP posts:
happyhippy · 09/09/2006 23:54

it is internal they are going to put some dye in to see my tubes on ultra sound so i guess if af hasnt arrived i will have to buy a test to check
thanks for your help

Natty1806 · 10/09/2006 08:48

Happy hippy - i was given a information leaflet on this procedure and will get it out later and double check for you but from what i can remember timing was really important on it plus i think at my clinic they only do it on a Tuesday.

As for me, had bad cramps last night so though AF was def on her way, woke up this morning have more than spotting but not as much as i would usually have so i think i am not going to take the 2 provera tablets that i have left as this will confuse my body even more. i am going to see what happens today and be a professional knicker watcher like coggy and if i carry on to bleed even though lighter than my usual AF (saying that last one was ligher) i am going to count this as CD1 so i can start taking clomid tomorrow. What do you lot think? At moment TMI it is not staining my knickers but when i went to toilet this morning you culd see a pile of blood in the toilet where it had come out when i was weeing. sorry that was far TMI

Anyway back at work tomorrow so will be stressed out so not sure taking the evil pills will help but i have waited this long so everyone around me just best watch out if they do turn me moody!!

Happy hippy - do you know when you ovulated? Maybe you could test today/tomorrow morning?

coggy · 10/09/2006 10:09

It's so bloomin' confusing isn't it?
Is it AF proper or not....arrrggh!

Why is nothing simple???
My AF was two days this time...as heavy as normal but much shorter.

I think once you start knicker-watching you notice all these oddities that probably happened before and we took no notice of.

Sounds like the right decision to me Natty.

HappyHippy....is it a laparoscopy you're having?
I have had one of them if that's any help.
I don't know if it sounds like the same procedure tho.
I had my tubes checked with dye and my stomach blown up with gas.....not sure about an ultra sound...though I had a camera thing so maybe completely different.

Oh..once again Waffle Coggy is of no help whatsoever!!!

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 10/09/2006 10:44

Thanks coggy - i know who would of thought after all these years of AF's when it is important what day 1 is it plays about, i have not bleed much at all since this morning but still have the cramps so think i will not take the tablets cause if i do it might stop it so hoepfully not taking them it will decide to continue as a normal one, so tomorrow will ring the clinic and get myself booked in for a internal scan on CD9-13 if i am still bleeding even if it is on and off. Just wish it was enough for a tampon and then i would know.

Right i am off to find the bit of paper for Happy hippy i think it is a HSG she is having?

Natty1806 · 10/09/2006 10:54

happy Hippy

this is what my sheet says:

it is essential that there is no possibility of pregnancy when you have the examination, therefore it can only be carried out during the first 10 days of your cycle, but NOT while you are still bleeding. It is recommended that you use barrier contraceptive from the first day of your cycle until you have had the test.

HTH

nikie1 · 10/09/2006 15:37

sorry to drop in but my good friend had problems concieving so she took clomid and caught first time now she is trying for her 2nd and useing clomid again will she catch 1st time again because she has her heart set on it i dont want to see her let dwn i'de rather tell her can anyone help in here xxxxx

coggy · 10/09/2006 17:22

I don't know Nikie...it may partly depend on why she was prescribed clomid.
Some people fall pg on their first month and many don't.

I fell pg after taking three cycles.

I am currently on my third cycle again....nothing yet.

There was another lady who posted on here who got her BFP after 13 cycles of clomid so I guess it's like anything in life...nothing is guaranteed...she might be lucky....she might not.
