I'm very excited for you. I really do hope it's the start of something big!

Lots of love and luck to you.

SOH

ShowOfHands · 17/08/2006 09:08

PS You too Angsthase, hope af stays away!

Sexonlegs · 17/08/2006 11:23

Oh, thank you ladies, that is very kind. I just hope come Sunday af doesn't appear and shatters the illusion. There was a definite line yesterday - even dh saw it, so I am not going mad - quite!! Although have been making some right cock-ups at work!! Sending emails to the wrong person and taking down names totally wrong!!
Oh dear!
Anyway, lots of love and luck to everyone. HTH xx

Hi all, forgot how quickly these threads can move. Forgot to say last time that I'm actually a regular mntter in hiding and will probably post a bit sporadically coz it's a pain keep changing my log in. Thanks again for the welcome . Well it's cd28 for me, usually a cycle of 28/29 days and so far no pre af type symptoms. Trying not to think about it too much and will test at weekend if nothing shows up tomorrow.

Coggy - sorry af arrived . Can't believe how patient you've been re: consultant, I'd have been bashing dwon doors by now.

Pendulum - this is our second month trying too. I'm trying not to think about things too much as we've been fortunate to always fall quickly (2 months first time but mc then 4 months after that).

Tili - hope your system re-sets quickly after coming off the pill.

Trace2 - so sorry you've been feeling down. Please don't be hard on yourelf, mc can leave you feeling so emotionally vunerable, easy to say but don't put too much preassure on yourself.

Sol - congrats on your bfp, hope the next 9 months are happy and healthy.

Wannabe1974 - good on you for emailing, glad it seems to have had an effect.

Can I just ask, do you move onto the sept thread once af arrives? Just so I don't end up posting on here and talking to myself!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 17/08/2006 22:27

tryingfortwo · 18/08/2006 11:10

Hi

Sorry I haven't had time to post anything.

Really pleased SOL - thats such good news.

Sorry Coggy, lots of luck for next month, I'm sure I'll be joining the September thread any time today.

Ansthase, Aprilmeadow and Timeforanother - good luck to you all.

I was due af yesterday and still not come on but all signs of af coming are here so really not hoping for anything. If nothing here by tomorrow will do a cheapo test. No nausea or any other pregnant type symptoms at all.

barnsleytykes · 18/08/2006 11:16

just want to wish all those still waiting good luck, and sol great a line is a line congrats

tryingfortwo · 18/08/2006 16:26

Who am I trying to kid, I'm off to buy a pregnancy test, I'm pretty sure it'll be bfn, but at least it will mean I won't have a full night of having to have the maybe I am, no your not, conversation with myself.

tryingfortwo · 18/08/2006 17:38

no surprises, bfn. here's to September!!!

WantAbabyNOW · 19/08/2006 00:30

Just when you thought August was pretty much over.........

Good morning to everyone! I am copying my post from the clomid gang thread... I am feeling a bit lazy!

I am not going to be counting cd days anymore. Was up to cd 85 yesterday and could not stay off the loo so decided to test a day early. and............ EBFP!!!!!!!!!!!

New term--- enormous big fat positive.

It was great using the clear blue digital as I would have been stressed out about the lines. Could not believe it though! Was crying my eyes out and phoned dh and said' hi daddy'. He did not believe it either.

Spent yesterday on the phone to the hospital trying to find out if I should continue metformin and trying to find my medicare card.. which dh had all along. Saw my gp yesterday and she confirmed everything. Am approx one month, so 9 to go! Will be going back to the gp on Mon or Tues. I think will be having an ultrasound in 2 weeks also to test for down sydrome.

I AM SO EXCITED! If I can get a bfp after no period for god knows how long, then you will all get yours I am sure.

I have had that stretching feeling also. I guess it wasnt ov pains the other week after all. I was even pg when I had that horrible smear test done, even though the day after it showed up bfn.

Wow. I have no idea what I am doing! LMAO

Baby dust and my very best wishes to all you wonderful ladies!

Sexonlegs · 19/08/2006 09:16

Wow, many congrats wantababynow!!! You have what you asked for!!
Any news from Pendulum, Angsthase and Aprilmeadow?

Well, I caved in and tested again yesterday with a Boots test, and..... BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soooo happy, and really cannot believe it. Bobblehead, you are right. I just wanted to ensure that af didn't turn up, but, a line is a line, or with the Boots test, it was the magic cross that appeared and confirmed it all.

I can only put it down to using preseed this month, as bd'd in the usual manner, but only 3 times!! 2 days before ov, day of ov, and 2 days after ov. Couldn't be arsed the rest of the time, amd dh was away quite a bit.

I would really like to thank everyone for their support on here; I feel I have made some really special cyber friends, and will continue to check up on you all. Will have even more time on here now that BB has finished - boo hoo!

Lots of love and luck to each and every one of you special ladies, and fingers crossed for you.

Natty1806 · 19/08/2006 09:24

Excellent news SOL we all knew you were but guess you just need that extra confirmation come AF arrival day.

Really please for you, and sex only 3 times, gives me hope on the months when i can't be bothered. LOL

Anyway big congrats from me

pendulum · 19/08/2006 10:29

Wantababy and SOL, I am soooo happy for you both. How do you feel physically- any early symptoms yet? This is such a great time of year to be newly pg IMO (this is exactly when I conceived DD three years ago)

I really hope I wil be catching up with you soon on the ante-natal threads. I stupidly did a test yesterday on the spur of the moment even though I knew from my temp chart that it was far too early, and of course got a bfn. According to the chart I should be due around Wednesday, so will force myself to wait until then (or will shell out on a more expensive test) I know the subject has been done to death but can anyone remind me which test is the most sensitive/ best for early tests?

Babymad4num3 · 19/08/2006 10:35

Sexonlegs and WantAbabyNOW that's wonderful news, feel over the moon for you both! ALL the best for you both!

manuka · 19/08/2006 10:43

All the tests are the same. Its how concentrated your hcg is in your wee that'l make a difference. Don't drink too much the night before you do your test.Drinking loads of water can result in a negative test. That's not nonsence my sis is a paediatrician with 4 kids, it was her advice. I have just had first baby and am so impressed by women who are brave enough to have a second one!! I'm far too terrified to go through all the birth thing again!

pendulum · 19/08/2006 11:05

thanks manuka,
I htought that some of them detected lower levels of hormone and this is how they justified being more expensive. Is your sister's view that that is a load of tosh?

coggy · 19/08/2006 11:30

pendulum...they do.
Some of them detect lesser amounts of hcg than others so making them more 'sensitive'.

Peachy had a webpage.
Do a google search and you can compare the levels on most brands.

The lower the amount the more sensitive the test is.

manuka · 19/08/2006 14:08

All I know is a lot of medical companies get away with making false claims. it really is a law unto itself. The best way is to try not to drink anything after 8pm so your urine is as concentrated as possible. It does make a difference especially if you have an excellent liver/kidneys which are very efficient at breaking things down.

I would HATE to be pregnant!! One is enough for me! If it wasn't for the general anaesthetic I'd be straight down to hospital for sterilisation!! I think you're very brave!!

coggy · 19/08/2006 14:46

Did you have a bad experience then Manuka?
How old is your db?

Tili · 19/08/2006 16:24

congrats SOL really happy for you best of luck to you and your dh xx
