Morning- Natty i know how you feel- this morning was my weekly weigh day and ahd lost noting after starving all week. Could this be down to pre-mens week symptoms like bloated/ fluid retention etc.. Help. Feeling down over it all at the mo.

wannaBe1974 · 27/08/2006 21:58

hiya all

well I stumbled across

this

earlier, it's really cool - you can have a daily diary of what you've eaten/what exercise you've done ect and it calculates your calories, and what fat/carbs/protein you've had. It is a subscription site, but they do a 3-day trial.

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2006 09:31

Hello ladies. Did log on at the weekend but for some reason I could not post. Natty - don't be disheartened, in your case it is probably muscle, you have been so good at going to the gyum . I have tried harder this week but far too much alcohol at the weekend which I did not have a hope of counting in. I just hope that I have at worst stayed the same but have a real fear that I have put on even more - the christening that I wanted to lose the stone for is this Sunday . I was watching last week's Lost last night and I feel like Harley, unable to change!! How are you all doing?

Angsthase · 29/08/2006 11:37

Don't feel qualified to post here as have had a disasterous w/e with loads of alc. Back on the wagon today. It really is hard not to drink when DH is home. Every night feels like a mini celebration and then he cooks lovely food and a glass of wine seems just the right thing to go with it.
Too many excuses. Will try to be good tonight and at least until Friday

On a positive note - did manage a run on Friday - in fact legs still killing me from it!!

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2006 12:15

Good for you re the run! I personally feel a bit cheated if I have water with a nice meal, wine is just perfect however!

coggy · 29/08/2006 15:53

Oh, oh, oh.....

All I can say is......I am SO glad my class is cancelled this Wednesday!!!!

Back on my strict kick start for eight days until next Weds!!!!!

andi0411 · 29/08/2006 19:25

Hi ladies - thought I'd check in- nt too bad a week on the diet front- 1 pound lost- i think it would've been more but went for 2 slap up meals over week-end and blew it!!! I'm not bothered really as thoroughly enjoyed myself with friends.

Good luck Coggy on the 8 day regime..you deserved a break/hol.

Mrs Mc - I agree- wine etc with meal is hard to give up- dp and I work crazy hours- although I work from home- and when we meet we like to cook and have a glass or 2-water or low cal juice does not do it!!!

coggy · 30/08/2006 09:09

Right.......down to business......

When is everyone's first Sept weigh-in so we can see how near any of us got to our target of half a stone.

I get a bonus (and, boy, do I need it ) of not having my first Sept weigh-in until Weds 6th.

Anyone actually weighing on the 1st Sept?

Angsthase · 30/08/2006 09:23

I can tell you right now that I've lost a big fat nothing this month. Reasons:

  1. My teetotalling went out the window as soon as DH got home. Zero willpower
  2. Ran once in a month. Laziness
  3. Eating wasn't too bad, but due to drinking and no exercise all in vain.

Soooo, tonight no booze and min 30 min run. Half a stone lighter by Oct, anyone???

coggy · 30/08/2006 10:23

LOL Angsthase!!!!

I am cheating because I did SO well the first two weeks and then it went a bit to pot.....that's why I'm pleased that my class was cancelled today and I get an extra 6 days to at least get back to where I was a fortnight ago!!!

Drinking is where my willpower is zero too!!
I don't seem to be able to have just one glass of wine!!

Top tip I discovered yesterday......DH was looking forward to cracking open a bottle of red with me last night but I seriously need to get on with this meag-diet-blast this week so I bought him some beers instead.
It worked well cos I didn't feel I was missing out on the wine (wouldn't have been able to resist) and he got his drink!!!

Natty1806 · 30/08/2006 10:27

ummmm..... i am due to weigh on 1st sep and will have lost 0 pounds in the month, nothing like achieving your goals hey. LOL

Yep half a stone lighter by October sounds good to me or maybe half a stone lighter by Christmas followed by a BFP please. x

coggy · 30/08/2006 10:30

Oh yes......just realised 1st September if a Friday...unluckily for you.

I should really take today's weigh though as it was 'Half a Stone Lighter BY Septemeber'.

Ho hum..............

MrsMcJnr · 30/08/2006 11:45

Good luck with the 8 day blast Coggy - I am impressed by your restraint with the wine. If it were me and DH had beers, I'd end up drinking even more wine myself

Andi a pound is a pound, well done! Life is for living and I reckon if you had a great time and lost weight, you are onto a winner. Just out of interest/ being nosy - what do you do work wise?

My first Sept weigh-in is the same as you Coggy - 6/9.

LOL Angsthase - you have not put on though have you! Same with you Natty and you have been great with the exercise.

I have zero willpower with booze and am lazy as far as exercise is concerned too. I have been substituting my evening walk for "indoor PE" the last few days - not so good for the doet but might be good for TTC. Count me in on the Oct thread (not for both I hope!!)

Weigh in tonight so I'll let you know how much I lost BY September - think you have won the challenge far and square Coggy!

MrsMcJnr · 30/08/2006 11:46

Whoops fair and square, was not calling you square oohh dear

coggy · 30/08/2006 14:26

Oi!!!

Wine can be ignored only if it still has the cork in it!!

Angsthase · 30/08/2006 14:38

Hell if there's beer on the table I'll have that as well
Only chance for me is if he starts drinking cherry brandy or lambrusco and theres NO CHANCE of that

coggy · 30/08/2006 14:38

MrsMc......I've left you a message on the old fogie's ttc thread.
X

coggy · 30/08/2006 14:39

LOL!!!!

I do like beer but not as much so I can resist it!!!

MrsMcJnr · 30/08/2006 15:34

Coggy - thanks for your message on the other thread. I can totally see where you are coming from. I am trying to limit how much time I spend on MN chatting, I'm getting no work done and it is a little too addictive. Should be doing press ups instead

mimi1uk · 30/08/2006 15:45

coggy please messenger me

andi0411 · 30/08/2006 16:11

Hi ladies- well my next weigh in should be sunday so we'll see really.
I'm like the rest of you- started so well then god only knows what happened- I have the will power of a kid in a sweet shop- but again i agree- it's the vino that gets me everytime- i like a glass or 10--sounding like an alcoholic now, but i don't care/!!! lol.

Mrsmc I don't mind you asking what i do at all- i'm a self employed accountant- yawn..and I run my business from home as I was sick of working for someone else- aren't we all. So I took some clients, got some more (inc my step- fathers book-keeping) and set up shop. Love it, but have to be incredibly self motivated and hours are long long long.

Am very nervous today- cd 30 of 28-32- no sign of af. No af pains anymore- nothing just a bit- whispers- sickly.
Pls send me your pos vibes. xx

Angsthase · 30/08/2006 16:16

Pos vibes coming your way Andi. xxx

Natty1806 · 30/08/2006 18:36
