Hi all,

DH & I are TTC DC3, we have DD 4 & DS 2, AF due 6th feb....

OP posts:
MabelMay · 15/04/2014 01:26

Wilting I feel the same re: not appreciating how lucky I was with rapid conceptions of my first two DC. DC1 we weren't even trying. It was an accident, but a happy one. DC2 happened the month we decided we were ready for another one.
I stupidly assumed it would be the same this time, which is why we kept delaying. Like I thought, once we decide to have a 3rd then I'll get pregnant instantly! As it was, it took nearly a year and two heartbreaking losses. But as I said, I think my endo had a lot to do with that - so am sure it won't be the same for you and beginner. Am watching v closely! Fingers tightly crossed for both of you.

BeginnerSAHM · 16/04/2014 21:07

V glad to hear it all worked out for you Mabel... I really don't want to hit 40 (nearly a year away) without becoming pregnant... I think of that as a cut off for trying Hmm. In fact, I really want to have a third one before my 40th birthday so have to get pregnant in this cycle or in the following 2! Confused (My last two came early so would be v surprised if I went beyond 38 weeks.)

I'm still sort of assuming I will get pregnant quickly. V silly as I know the probability is very slim and the odds are against it.

2ww is really tough this time though! Tested this morning BlushBlushBlush. Totally ridiculous as only 4dpo. Mad and stupid. Am an old mad broody woman Shock (who should be much more relaxed as I have two amazing healthy children already, who I love to bits).

Tranquilitybaby · 16/04/2014 21:23

I know how you feel too Wilting last two times I didn't even think about it, fell first month both times. I realise how lucky we were.

I had this thing in my head that I wanted to be no older than 36 when I had no. 3 but that's not going to happen now, sigh.

Tranquilitybaby · 16/04/2014 21:27

Feel for you beginner , don't do it to yourself testing at 4 dpo though, hide those tests for at least another 6 days mrs!! Xxx

BeginnerSAHM · 16/04/2014 21:36

I will.... (Just slapped hand...) Wink

Tranquilitybaby · 17/04/2014 08:30

Lol let you consider yourself told off! ;)

I did the same last month from 6dpo what a waste of tests and me getting more down each time x

BeginnerSAHM · 17/04/2014 10:24

Hmmm. Good job I've ordered some super-cheap ones from eBay really Blush. Mind you, the 'ultra sensitive' ones didn't work when I was pregnant with DC1 at all.... First response and clearblue did but the eBay ones were dreadful. Suppose it might satisfy my addiction anyway.... Blush

BeginnerSAHM · 17/04/2014 10:25

What day are you on now Tranquility??

busyDays · 18/04/2014 00:03

Can I join too? I have dc aged 6 and 4 and would love a third. I'm just at the beginning of my 2ww and I already feel like it is going to stretch on forever. Our timing was slightly off this month but I'm definitely still in with a chance so fingers crossed.

BeginnerSAHM · 18/04/2014 00:20

Hi busydays - v similar to me then! Course you can join. Went out tonight and drank a bit too much wine. DH and kids are away at the moment. Period due a week tomorrow (26th) I think. V frustrating having to wait! Good luck!!

BeginnerSAHM · 20/04/2014 16:41

Drat - af started. Only 8 dpo. Light at the moment but that's always how it starts. Achey lower abdominal cramps and achey boobs too Hmm. Boo.

SweepTheHalls · 20/04/2014 21:00

Joining in too, DS are 5 and 3, cycle 17 here. Had an early miscarrage 3 weeks ago but continuing to hope smile

SweepTheHalls · 20/04/2014 21:01

Oops Smile

wiltingfast · 20/04/2014 21:32

Welcome busy, sounds like you've been through the mill, how easy was it for you their first two times? Pretty grueling to be on cycle 17 :(

Beginner! Shock can't believe your af is so early, boo. Keep us posted, might be implantation bleeding

Full 7-8 days dpo here but no symptoms whatsoever.... can't even pretend I feel remotely pregnant, af due 27 April I think so I guess I have to wait and see but I am not hopeful. And of course I've been googling lots of horrible stuff about women trying to get pg at 40...

BeginnerSAHM · 20/04/2014 22:27

Hi sweepthehalls. Fingers crossed for you - sounds like a very long wait... Hope you get your positive soon.

Wilting - thank you for the positive thoughts. well, I'm of course thinking that even though it's unlikely. Been feeling horribly sick and had diarrhoea (TMI, sorry..Blush) since this afternoon. Again, think it is probably a bug, caught from the children but I can't help hoping it's a weird reaction to a sudden flood of hormones. I know, I know, doubtful...Confused.

Anyway, off to try to sleep. Feel so grim though. Bleughh. Sweet dreams everybody.

BeginnerSAHM · 21/04/2014 14:17

Omg.... Faint faint line on superdrug test. 9 dpo. Hope it sticks. In shock. Feel sick still Wink.

SweepTheHalls · 21/04/2014 14:49

That's wonderful news! I did an internet cheapie this morning, even though I know I shouldn't as not due until Friday, that's 30p wasted!

BeginnerSAHM · 21/04/2014 16:54

Thanks! I did an Internet cheapie and it didn't show. But I felt so sick I thought a superdrug test worth a try. It's very very faint but definitely there. Mind you, I'd expect it to be faint as not due until Fri either. Fingers crossed it's not a chemical pregnancy. (Had a couple of those before.)

Tranquilitybaby · 21/04/2014 17:34

Eek beginner so exciting! Hope alls well!
AF just finished for me, CD8 so going to start DTD from tonight!

X

wiltingfast · 21/04/2014 20:24

Happy dtd tranquillity Grin!

And yikes beginner! Excitement!!! Fingers crossed for you, hope the baby holds on tight!

Passthebiscuitspls · 21/04/2014 20:57

Hi!! And hi to the newbies!

Beginner; that sounds soooo promising! I'm really hoping it's not a chemical and it's a sticky, eeekkkkk!! Have you tested again? I'd use a first response if it's this early, they seem to be the most sensitive.

Tranquility; enjoy! ;)

I'm now 8dpo and feeling a few symptoms. I'm not going to jinx myself so I'm just crossing my fingers they turn out to be and it's not my body tricking me!!

Just back to reality after the lovely 4 day Easter weekend, boo!

Good luck to everyone else and fingers crossed for more BFP's.

BeginnerSAHM · 21/04/2014 22:31

Thanks wilting! And passthebiscuits - have my fingers v crossed too. Nope - haven't done another one. Superdrug test was v faint and did it at 2 pm. Will try another tomorrow. I agree about first response. Always used them before but heard superdrug ones pick up positives v early. In fact, too early as they can alert you to a chemical preg before your af. We'll see. Am optimistic!

BeginnerSAHM · 22/04/2014 07:12

Still got a line... Bit darker Grin. Feel like a bit of a fraud having only tried once Shock. Fingers crossed for a lot more BFPs on here (and that mine sticks).

SweepTheHalls · 22/04/2014 08:41

Getting darker is great, that's what made me worry last month, that my line never got darker.

busyDays · 22/04/2014 10:23

Well done beginner, that's so exciting!! Hope we get a few more BFPs on here soon.

I'm only 5dpo so still have ages to go. Plus I never had any symptoms in my previous pregnancies until about a week after af, so no use symptom spotting for me.
