DH & I are TTC DC3, we have DD 4 & DS 2, AF due 6th feb....

DG - sorry not to respond sooner - we were away for four days. Congratulations! Great news am so pleased for you - what a lovely relief. Are you going public with the pregnancy now?

wilting - I used the OPK kit for my last two cycles before PG too. Hope it works out for you as well. Where are you in your cycle now?

Tranquility - Are you in your 2ww at the moment? I think a big age gap is lovely for the older kids. I was 9 when my little brother was born (all my other siblings older than me so the gap was 9 years like yours) and I absolutely adored him. My mum says I was a really handy babysitter too - happy to change pooey nappies and feed him etc. Good luck!

I've still got 2 weeks until the 12 week scan. Feeling much less symptomy now. No nausea and not half as tired, although boobs still big and sore. Just hoping it's because I've reached that point a bit earlier where the really full-on early PG symptoms subside. I've never known time to go as slowly as it appears to be going in these first 3 months of preggers-ness!

I'm on cd 10 DG, going to try the opk tomorrow. Really hope it works out this cycle.

Am so glad your pg seems to be working out! Maybe you're a bit further along than you think?

Ooh you should start DTD today! I started day 10 and I've the feeling that it's that particular 'deed' that stuck, even though my smiley face didn't come 'til a day or two later... So yes possibly further along than I think but could only be by a couple of days. I think you meant me, not DG, although you said DG in yr post...? If you didnt' mean me though, apologies!

I have to admit I'm a little envious of you being those few weeks ahead - can't wait to get past the dreaded 12 week scan, bloods etc. Funny you mentioning the toasties. I just had toast with slatherings of butter, cheese and tomato. Only thing I could stomach.

Yes wilting - you're on CD 11 - get shagging NOW fgs! Best to do opk first thing in morning - may as well DTD tonight and then do opk tomorrow morning.

Boba congratulations! Yes, tentatively due 6th November here. DG is a couple of weeks ahead of me so due mid-late October I guess...?

I'm on cd 24, well nearly 25 now. AF usually ranges between 26-28 days. POAS today with an internet cheaply from eBay but it was bfn of course, far too early. Don't have any symptoms really except ranging PMT which I never normally get at all. Weird.

No positive opk yet :( doing plenty of shagging tho

Hello all - can I join you? Have DC1 who is just 6 and DC2 who is 5 at the end of the summer. So big gap! And I'm no spring chicken. Just decided to TTC number 3 last week. Not sure what day I'm on but did OPK and had a surge or Friday. So I suppose I'm on a 2ww.... Got pregnant v quickly with numbers 1 and 2 but am significantly older now (39). Quite worried about any problems with the baby if we do get pregnant but guess I'm jumping the gun a bit...

Hi beginner welcome. I guess officially I shouldn't be here any more. I joined this thread when it first started after months of TTC3 and two cycles later got my BFP. I'm currently 10.4 weeks pregnancy. I'm also 39, and it did take me a lot longer to get PG this time (had two MCs last year) but that's partly due to me having endometriosis.
My DCs are 6 and 8 so also a big age gap! Good luck.
Wiltingfast, who is on this thread, is also just starting her 2ww I think.

Wilting - I'm sure you did ov, and it's great that you've been DTD for a while now and covering all your bases.

If you want to be sure you are ov'ing - next cycle (although hopefully it won't come to that!) get blood tests on CD21 to check your progesterone levels. I had that done just to make sure was definitely ovulating. I'm sure you are as you've already got two DC, but it might reassure you. Fingers crossed for you this cycle!

DG For the first time I think that, yes, we are going to find out the sex. We didn't find out with either of our other two (both boys) because I didn't mind at all either way and loved the surprise. This time, though, I'd like to prepare myself either way. I guess if I had to pick, I'd choose a girl - although I really won't be upset at all if we have another boy - I guess I'd like to know to prepare myself for that eventuality. We won't tell anyone else though - so at least it'll be a surprise for others...

Welcome Beginner! As you can probably tell from my posts I have also just started my 2ww. Had a positive opk on Friday same as you. Here's hoping it is a positive month for us both.

I'm also 39 and trying now since Jan with no luck. Have 2dc who were conceived the minute I started trying.. ds will be 5 in June and dd just turned 3. Really wish we'd started trying last Summer...but dh took a bit of convincing

Ooo, I think my af is due around the 27 April, I have a 26 - 30 day cycle. So I doubt I'll hold on to much past the 28 April before doing a test

You're good then! I always try a week before af is due... . Worked with DC1 6 days before but didn't work with DC2 - with DC2 I thought af was early and only tested when it never really got going and petered out. Mind you, i bled every day up to 9 weeks so was convinced I was going to lose the baby. I didn't though .

I try to be! Would go mad otherwise! Totally convinced myself I was pg back in Jan, was astonished I wasn't, in fairness, af was three days late that cycle.

The other two were so easy did not appreciate how lucky I was. Am dying to be pg again, have actually worked out this is my last chance at a 2014 baby ...
