Is there a January bus yet?!!

Hi everyone my AF appeared on 3rd December, so got kicked off the December bus pretty early! But couldn't see a January bus yet!! My stats are TTC #2 cycle 5 BFP due 8th Jan.

I'm out for this month af arrived this morning, just as I was reaching for the pee cup! Anyway I have 31 day cycle so ill be off to the Feb bus, probably still be lurking on here and wishing you all luck for your bfps though!! Blimey that's cycle 5 for me now, never thought it would take this long!

I did a test this morning and it was negative :( af is still missing though.

jilljill - sorry you got a BFN this AM. Hope you get a BFP soon, but if AF does show her face, then defo give OPKs a go next cycle.

Yep lucy, still in limbo land along with Ginger. CD55 today. No sign of AF, but I've had loads (sorry tmi alert) of cm for the past few weeks and it seems to be drying up now so maybe something is about to change. Fed up with waiting!

Hello Ladies! Thought I'd check in after a few days away on holiday over the New Year. Have enjoyed catching up with all your progress-congrats on the BFPs and a little sad to hear the arrival of some AFs.

As I am doing the SMEP plan currently, I feel a bit more in control than I did last month. As soon as CD8 appeared, started SWI although had to try a couple of times as DH got stage fright (it must all be affecting him too) and have now started also using OPKs daily since CD10. No second line yet but as I am on CD12 and thinking it might not be too long to wait. I did succumb and have a drink on NYE though, well more than one, but still less than I normally have done in previous years! Am loving the list of stats Kt1991 as it is nice to see I have a few BFP day buddies for the 24th Jan.

Sorry to hear of the AFs appearing, great that most of you can stay on the Jan bus though. Congrats on those with BFPs, you lucky things!

Working out when you ovulate is very confusing isn't it? I was really disappointed not to get a BFP last month, as everyone in my family has conceived first month. I was working on my app, ovuview though, which thought I O'd on cd15, so we had a veritable shagathon cd 12-16 when DH went away for work...however I have a 31-33 day cycle so thought this might not be right, and lo and behold AF arrived. Have been using OPKs this month and got what I though was +ve at cd11 which would put my LP at 21 days, which again didn't seem right - have been getting lines since I started on cd6 but this was by far the darkest. Have continued to test though and got a very strong OPK +ve last night, which when I compare to cd11 makes the earlier seem so obviously negative I feel stupid! I have entered my new stats into my app and it says AF due 22 Jan, which would put this cycle at 36 days, I think this is wrong though and am expecting AF at cd32 ish, so around the 18th so will stick with my plan of testing then....so officially in my first 2ww where I have a chance of being PG, given DH's absence during O last month!

Any opinions on this? Do you think it sounds right? O'ing on CD18 gives me a 14 day LP which seems about correct.....

Hi Thingsthatgohump. I was always under the impression that ovulation was for most people around-about 'mid-cycle', give or take a few days, so if you assume a 32 day cycle, I would have estimate that you ovulate most likely between CD days 13-19. What CD were you on yesterday? x

Thingsthatgobump so glad I saw your post. Last month I got a strong positive OPK on CD 20, the app's I had been using the previous two months estimated that I would ovulate the week earlier. I found that last month my cycle lasted an extra day. I was worried that this was rather late to ovulate but it seems that it's quite possible!

I actually just did another OPK and got an even darker line than yesterday so could be CD19 for me! I think it is certainly possible. Also as I have been on hormonal BC (microgynon) for 12 years, not very surprising! Average is only average because there are people either side of it I suppose!

I feel really pleased to have a +ve OPK...DH thinks I am ridiculous - but then again is quite happy with the consequences!

What app does anyone recommend? I've downloaded 3 but not keen on any of them...

I like ovuview, its really simple and easy to use. I think they all have their pros and cons and none are perfect, but I am hoping after using opks this month mine will be more accurate going forwards.

Or you could just not bother and have LOADS of sex instead

POAS yesterday using a Clearblue early detect but got nothing. Think it was too early. Going to POAS now because I just ordered some more tests for 99p off Ebay - Thanks Choccy!

No chocky, not doing opks until a few months down the line.

Looking back, my app 'my calendar' rejigged things so it looks like I ovd on cd14 but only DTD on 9,11 & 15 so maybe just missed the window! Poor dp only had knee op the week before so was difficult anyways!! So I've warned him this cycle (calling our 1st as last was freebie after pill) we will DTD every other day!

How early do you start in your cycle to DTD?? X

Bella we usually go for it around cd10, usually positive cd14. We dtd before though too

Was asking about opk Bella as I had a 25/24 day cycle, oving on cd18 so I had a short LP, then took b6 to lengthen it which worked. Might be worth testing jic you've ov'd later than you think.

Ginger in about four days! I am also coming off some medication and these may all be side effects of that, but we live in hope!
