I would but she is already booked in to have a c section as this is 'the best way to have a baby' apparently and she can choose the date!! She's overseas and will be paying £££ for this. It's all very medicalised and clinical.

Can I join this thread? Have a ds (2) and miscarried in May at 11 weeks. TTC again but had a rough day finding out yet another friend is pregnant. I don't resent them (honest!!) just get really sad as each month that passes with another sodding period is another month of not being pregnant myself- as you all know on this thread.
Just in a fug today and pathetically looking for sympathy!

Welcome k. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I am so with you on the friend pregnancy announcements. Today I'm even sad a friend of a friend who I've never met is pregnant...maybe not sad but jealous. Ok I'm jealous and sad!
are you using opks, temping and poas at least 6 times a month?!

not temping yet- been using opks since miscarriage but I was still 8 days late last month even though I ovulated when I thought I should. Cruel nature! No pregnancy- I P a resevoir OSs!!! But was just my body not back to normal yet I think.
Following advice of a friend and doing the deed every other night rather than just around ovulation time. Hedging my bets as it were! It is hard to summon up the energy though!
I've never done the temp thing. Does that help? Is that a better indicator than OPKs?
I think we are entitled to feel a bit jealous and sad. How long have you been TTC muzzy1? you don't have to tell me if you'd rather not.

That's ridiculous one. I think I would have told her where to go - what a dick! Sorry but c sections aren't the best either unless there is a medical reason for it.

So period has ended here and got some weird black discharge this month. Coupler with cramping. What's that all about? Kind of glad have this scan next week now but also bit scared what it might throw up. Shagathon due to start today on every other day / SMEP.

Welcome k - and I too had a mc at almost 12 weeks back in feb and finding the months that go by pretty tough. Plus all the pregnancy annoucements (the hardest for me is all my NCT are pregnant) are hideous! I opk but not temp only as because I'm a crap sleeper and also know I would be obsessive about every minor fluctuation. I've already obsessive about POAS so temping would take me too a whole new level!!!

I think every other day is a good idea. abi didnt you do every 3 when you got your bfp? I just rememberd your question abi, dh goes about 3 days before ov, maybe 2 if I'm lucky. Not great but I can't do anything about it. Frustrating though.

I don't temp yet either. Just opks most months! We've been trying only about 6 months but it feels like 6 years. We were first time (mc) and then first time (dd) last time so I wasn't used to all this.
I'm sure your cycles will take a while to get back to normal after your mc. 8 days late is cruel!

Hi fedup ah same here- today was me finding out the last of the nct group to get pregnant other than me (not counting miscarriage) at least my rage has abated a bit. Sadness is a bit easier to deal with than rage!

We use preseed too- (just reading back a bit) and it worked last time first time we used it- though might have been coincidental of course.

Any other hot tips I have missed out on?!

It's good u have a scan soon fedup. Black discharge sounds a bit odd. I do think sometimes your body takes a long time to get back to normal after a mc. This af was my first normal one after just a chemical preg in April.

I temp but I am finding that I'm getting a bit obsessed about it and worrying a lot about every fluctuation as you say fedup. I wonder if I should have a month off this coming month and just DTD every other day when AF is over. I also don't sleep very well so wonder if it is helpful at all really!

I thought they were back to normal though muzzy so this one all a bit random. Scared about a whole range of things from cysts to cancer to ectopic but did a pregnancy test again today and bfn so doubt latter. Crazy how the mind goes doesn't it?!

Welcome K. All nutters welcome here. I had a mmc which wasn't discovered until my 12 wk scan. I've not started using OPKs yet in fact I'm not even sure when I ovulate. If it doesn't happen in a couple if months I'll start then. Fingers crossed joining us gives you some luck!!

Bart, from what my sil told me who works in a hoapital, the 12week is not only a dating scan (if one isnt required beforehand) but a nuchal scan also which they cant check until after 12 weeks anyhow. My bestie had a dating scan earlier on, then the 12week one after 12weeks, so not entirely sure, but I will be asking those questions tomorrow morning that you suggested!! ;) how are you feeling today? Im holding onto my wee as long as poss and am going to do a POAS shortly, hopefully to put my mind at rest :0/

Big hugz one, that sucks how she is being, everyone should realise that having a baby it doesnt matter what sex it is, of course its nice if what we are hoping for girl or boy wise would happen, but im with everyone on this that as long as baby is safe and well it just doesnt matter what the sex is!! She is being horrid and deserves to go on the 'biatch board'

Muzzy! Hello! I dtd every 3 days the last cycle and I really think it benefitted my wellbeing as well as energy reserves! It took the pressure off which I really think helped with getting a bfp. Just started it as soon as af buggered off and went until the last possible moment which was past ov. Even if your OH goes away 3day before ov, hopefully you will get one in at the last moment! Swimmers at the right time of cycle with ewcm can last up to about 5days in there so keeping all my fx for you!

Fedup, ive had that weird black discharge before, when I spoke to the doc at the time he said it was really really old stuff that my body finally got rid of in a mass clear out. Hopefully nothing for you to worry about, what day is your scan next week?

Just POAS in between sections of this posting and bfp still here, and came up straight away with a thick line, phewf, put my mind at rest a little more what with previos chem pgs I can rest a bit easier now yeah right says abi nutjob

I realised that today is exactly 4weeks till ds starts primary!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh! Best start sewing in those labels!!

abi glad it's not just me with black discharge - none so far today but yesterday's didnt arrive til the evening. Tends to come with cramping and feeling a bit sick so maybe it is just having a clear out. Scan is on Monday pm.

Also need to work out what day I need to do my progesterone blood test. Doc said 7 days before af is due but my cycles have been odd so not really sure when that is!

Hi all, I'm in the 2ww now. Ff thinks I ov on day 16 and I'm in day 19 now. My temps are so low though...I really am worried I'm not ovulating. I've booked an appointment to see the doc in the 22 August (earliest I could get) so hopefully will get a blood test...

Two more pg announcements yesterday, along with sil being annoying. I have lost it. I'm not temping next month as its driving me crazy. I will see the doctor and hopefully have tests done but frankly, I'm feeling like giving up. I'm not sure if I can do this month after month.

I'm the same one but I also wonder how easy it is just to give it up? I'd like to as when I haven't cared is when I've got pregnant. FFS it's so hard. I know how you feel and hugs xx

Vicious cycle isn't it ladies- "your body won't let you get pregnant if you're not happy and relaxed"- I won't be happy and feel relaxed UNTIL I'm pregnant again! Argghhh...

I know. And i was mega stressed at work when got preggers with DS but was on holiday for actual conception so is that the answer?! If yes, dildoos should have bfp this month even with one dtd day!!!

dildoos we only dtd once on cd13 (with ov probably cd14 or cd15) and it did the trick for us! It only needs once so fx for you. I hope you are enjoying your holidays. 5 weeks and were off to majorca and i cannot wait! Im feeling huge and bloated today. I definately dont look 5 weeks felt a bit sicky today aswell. But im loving it all so far and not taking anything for granted.

one big hugs for you. Maybe just have a break from temping and checking dates and opk's for a couple of months and just dtd when you feel you want to. Thats what we dis last month. Although its now driving me mad as i dont know which day i ov on! Sods law isnt it. I know its hard not to think about these things, but maybe your body just needs less things to worry about. I wont say just relaz and forget about it for a few months, cos we both know thats not possible. But maybe just a few less things to stress about might help. Also the docs may have some answers for you which should help.

Hello ladies. Is it ok if I join in or at least post a bit and get some things of my chest? It's maybe not a good time to post as I am one day late but pretty sure I am not pregnant. I'm going a little crazy though so wanted to write something somewhere.

DS will be 3 in October and we have been TTC since January. I got a BFP the first month but sadly, like some of you on here, I had a mc about 9 weeks. I had to have a managed mc which was a bit hideous and this is my 4th cycle of trying since then.

I pee (well dunk really) my ebay sticks pretty much every day from about 5 days before my period and have just ordered my first batch of OPK sticks though not sure what to do with them. I was kind of hoping it would tempt fate - if I ordered them maybe I wouldn't need them.

My cycle was 23 days after DC but since my mc it's been 28, 25, 23, and 23. So I'm on day 24 of cycle today but technically a day late for me. When I got pg in January though I was testing positive by this stage so I almost just want it to start so I know for positive it hasn't happened this month.

We're dtd every other day from a few days before I think I should ovulate and for a few days after and a couple other times if we can be bothered. This month we tried very early in my cycle to see if that had any effect but it tailed off after that as we had a bit of a stressful time with a house move.

Fedup 5 of the 7 others in my nct group are pregnant or have had their 2nd. I think one other may be early stages pregnant but I am trying very hard not to be jealous of her unconfirmed to me pregnancy as she has been trying longer and had a mc as well. The other one is not even trying as far as I know - will be very hard if she gets pregnant as well.

Anyway, sorry for the long post - just wanted to rant a little. Will be nice to have some support and people to talk to for next month. I've been quite open about it all with friends but I kind of feel I've been talking about it too much now and most of my good friends have 2 already.

Piglet - the tww sucks. Sorry to hear you're feeling so frustrated but hope your marathon shagathon pays off.

We've given it a good crack on day 9, 11, 12, 13 and shall be getting our freak on tonight if I can muster the energy..... Hope I get the solid smiley tomorrow I guess???

I also applied for a new job today - work has become way too stressful for the recognition and pay.

The new role is less pay but only 2 days so would be so much better. Doubt ill get it - bit out of my skill set but fingers crossed their open to slightly similar experience!
