You should normally get your positive opk sometime the day before you ov (between 12-36 or so before) some people get another positive the day after their first one but ive only ever had one. That just means the surge has probably finished by the time ive done another one nothing to worry about.

And its not positive until the test line is as dark or darker than the control line. Hopefully you have good tests and its not too tricky to work that one out ive heard that some are easier to figure out than others!

I chuckled at Thora's wine in paper bag combo! Was on the wine myself last night so feeling a bit delicate this morning. Off for a run in half an hour. Eek.
CD11 (of 33-ish) for me today. Have managed the SMEP amount of dtd so far (days 8 & 10) but had to have my arm twisted last night after the wine as was ready to drop. I think that was the first time my DH has has to persuade me (usually it's the other way round) so that was a major breakthrough. Although the "this isn't for pleasure" comment did kinda ruin the romance! You can tell we've been ttc for a while!!
Really gonna try to keep up SMEP this month as I'm sure we give up DDT too soon each month. My cycle is so long (sometimes 38 days) that around ov time I've had waaay to much sex for my liking and am ready to call it a day for the month. Ho hum.

Help! I'm pretty sure I'm oving but staying at my dad's with our toddler in the room. I know it sounds demanding but how much do i wish dad would hVe offered to take our babba this morning. Oh dear.. I have no idea what's going on with me today. I'm like an emotional teenager! I burst into tears watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today when Charlie says "I only get one bar of chocolate a year, on my birthday.." I felt so sad for him.. I was gorging myself on chocolate at the time.
I haven't had an AF in 3 years. Before that I was pregnant and on the pill before that. I hope I'm not like this every month my poor DH won't know what to do with me!

Oh dear Thora! You do know it's not a documentary, right?

We are DTD every other day at the moment, but only on CD 12, so it's not that impressive! Will have to attempt every night for a few nights from about Monday (have given up on CBFM for this month after too many forgotten sticks, but have v regular cycle, so know pretty much when I ov), which should be entertaining in relative's house.

Am I weird in that I think I actually prefer the 2ww to the first 10 days or so of my cycle? At least once we get into the DTD and the 2ww there's something to occupy the TTC side of my brain, it's just bored during the first bit of my cycle!

I think I agree Red, af has just gone and I'm already bored of the waiting around for the 2ww, just want this 1st half over for the exciting will I won't I be next half

I have been rudely kicked off the June bus by our old auntie so I'll try lucky number 7 for size. I'm going to try not to get too het up this month though as I'm on hols for my August shag-week (assuming I'm still not upduffed by then) so it wouldn't be a bad thing to be able to enjoy that all inclusive vino.
Having said that, I'd still rather use the holiday to break the good news to my girls

We are dtd every day till dh goes away on Wednesday. Then that will be it for the month and af is due around 11th July. These really long cycles are a pain but at least a pattern has emerged and its kind of getting easier to track what's going on! Good luck everybody!

I'm not panicking about being away in the caravan next weekend so much now as I don't think I'm due to ov til about the Thursday and we will be back on the Monday so might still have a good shot at it Will be using opk's and conceive plus this cycle and read loads of good reviews about the conceive plus Thinking positive

I've decided to change my stats from cycle 4 to cycle 3... As one of my cycles was unusually long (48 days) and we didn't dtd any where near the time of ovulation and it was basically a stupid horrible cycle that I'd rather forget about

Also decided not to bother temping and charting my bbt this month. Just gonna use OPKs and dtd as much as poss

Yes gilly 3 cycles does sound better than 4 and if it makes you feel a bit better about it then it can only help.

Where's everyone else at in their cycles? Im cd12. Managed to dtd on cd9 and cd11 so far. Not got my +ve opk yet but hopefully its not too far away. Ive been in a foul mood yesterday and this morning though. Looking back at my app i was like that on cd11 last month aswell. Does anyone else get any pre ov symptoms?! Im blaming the hormones anyway. Obviously its not my fault!

Oh and linda were using the conceive plus aswell

Ive mainly been using it as just a spermicide free alternative to the notmal stuff rather than to actually aid ttc. But hey anything that might help is good right!

Bart we tried using preseed when ttc ds #2 but found it really slippery so thought we'd try conceive plus this time, feels much better and we all know that dtd on demand can get a bit sore so it defo helps with that I'll try anything that might help in the slightest as my age is a huge factor

Hiya. Cd13 for me and a flashing smiley face on CB digital so it's full steam ahead for us! Managed to dtd on cd8 and cd12 so far. Not drinking this month until I go on holiday during 2ww and keeping on with the vitamins.

Bartbaby I think my husband would say I've been in a stinking mood over the past day or so. Maybe it is the hormones!!

Right, SMEP started last night (we'll see how long it lasts). Skipped CD8 dtd due to the fact that I don't generally ov until CD18-22. Yesterday was CD10 and we managed to dtd. Have hopefully convinced DP to keep going every other day. We both struggle during the week and I usually get home and fall asleep on Fridays (slept for 12 hours straight last Friday to Saturday night).

We are using Preseed, too. I've got Conceive Plus as well, but find the applicators for Preseed easier to do, because I can adjust how much I want to use.

Isean TTC#1 Cycle 4 BFP around 13th July

It was a Rio Carnival themed event Thora so I had on a gold leotard/corset type thing with ruffled tails and a huge head dress. Was stunning but I felt very naked in it. I much preferred the purple sequined dress I had for the dancing later on.

Hopefully doing a Moulin Rouge event on Thursday as well if I can get off work. Will probably be wearing the gold outfit for that again.
