My sister is having her 12 week scan RIGHT NOW! Hoping everything goes well for her! Smile

FoxMulder · 18/06/2013 15:47

Have you heard anything gilly?

londonchick · 18/06/2013 16:08

Fox sorry you've had to join us :-( This is a great bus to be on though!

Gilly any news??

We are having a night off dtd tonight. 2 flashing smileys last 2days and plenty of dtd so night off tonight and then another go tomorrow I think. Difficult when I do shift work and DH doesn't. We can go ages without seeing each other but making the effort this month!!

My sil has her 20 week scan tomorrow so fingers crossed for her and my bil.

Looking forward to my holiday in a week's time. Will def take my mind off 2ww. We're really going for it this month so fingers tightly crossed!!

gillywillywoo · 18/06/2013 17:11

Not from her directly!

She's told my parents (mum already knew anyway but dad didn't so mum had to act surprised!) as my mum text me to tell me my sister+her DH had visited them straight after the scan.. So everything's ok! Smile

But she hasn't called me yet... Although I know she had to pick up her 18 month old from grandmas house and also they are selling their car and had someone coming over to view it so they've had a busy afternoon!

I'm working til 7 and she knows that so she'll probably call me later! Smile

lindamagoo · 18/06/2013 17:16

I think I should just class this as my 1st month ttc again as we only decided the day before I ov'd last month 2 bin the condoms so there wasn't really much chance there Smile That way I get to add another month to our final 6 months of trying (ever) Can't even imagine how I'll feel if it doesn't happen before then Hmm

DisneyDiva87 · 18/06/2013 17:49

Well least you've managed to scrape up another month Londa! I hope you get your BFP. I hope we all get our BFPs in the same month. I'll miss you guys if we don't! Flowers

All the best for this month Gilly sounds like this could be the month, being off work will reduce your stress levels too which can only help Smile I'll keep my fingers crossed but I'll be honest, I'm not prepared to hold my breath for you.

lindamagoo · 18/06/2013 18:00

I know Dosney, going to be strange if we all move on at different times, would be great if we could all go through our pregnancies together Smile

gillywillywoo · 18/06/2013 19:16

Disney why aren't you holding your breath for me?!

lindamagoo · 18/06/2013 19:29

Coz she wouldn't be able to breathe then gilly, lol Smile

gillywillywoo · 18/06/2013 19:37

Haha I thought that's what she meant Grin lol

gillywillywoo · 18/06/2013 19:38

My sister called and her 12 week scan was fine today!
Baby is due on Boxing Day... And my cousins baby is due on Christmas Day!
So happy for her and really hope my time will come soon Smile

lindamagoo · 18/06/2013 19:45

Aw that's great about your sisters scan, is this her 1st baby? I had a pal visiting today, she's about 15 wks pregnant, she's got a dd already but this is her new partners 1st lo, they've been ttc for almost 3 years, so happy for them but she's suffering bad with morning sickness, been in hospital about 5 times already with it Hmm

gillywillywoo · 18/06/2013 19:54

It's her second!

She has an 18 month old little boy and I love him SO much!
Weird to think there will be another one... Will have to spread my love a little further! Grin

My brother has an 8 month old and DHs brother has a 16 month old!

We are the last ones... Really hope our time comes soon. We are the youngest couple though and I don't think it's expected of us but I know everyone would love it if we had a baby Smile

lindamagoo · 18/06/2013 20:02

Your time will come and hopefully soon, most of my friends had already became grand parents by the time I became a parent, lol. Was a long haul for me but I had a lot of health problems then out of nowhere at 37 years old my tummy bug turned out to be ds #1, but fingers crossed you won't wait that long Smile

MummyPig24 · 18/06/2013 20:44

Pleased to hear your sisters scan went well gilly! It will be your turn soon.

Our families will not be pleased when we announce baby number 3. Dreading it and I hope my fictitious "fuck em" attitude comes to life!!

lindamagoo · 18/06/2013 21:19

Mummy it's the same here, think our families will have a lot to say when we announce #3 and it won't be nice but I don't care, it's what we want so to avoid any drama or the trying to talk us out of it we aren't telling anyone til well after we get pregnant Smile

apprenticemamma · 18/06/2013 23:55

Hi all! tried to post last night but my smartphone was overloaded and kept crashing... Not on here a day and cant keep up! well this cycle's been a funny one started out using opks ran out on CD15 no smiley and the strategy has been dtd eod if you cam call it thatWink . Last time on here I was moaning about ovulation frustration ...confession time, ended up dtd in pub toilet pissed before stone roses (btw they were absolutely legendary). I will stress this was not horrible festie loo ! And that this is not our normal style but I think we regressed.. Hoping spontaneous summer loving will bring the tadpoles and egg together as it did in 2010..and bring us a sally cinnamon or Ian brown (errrr maybe not bearing those exact names) ..Smile although deep down I think oh s tadpoles were lazily floating round on a lilo cocktail in hand...

apprenticemamma · 19/06/2013 00:01

mummy and Linda I couldn't agree more with your attitude btw. This 'll be our number two together and oh s number 5 so though my family will be happy I predict a mixed response from other quarters. I also dont understand why 3 these days is sometimes seen as deviant when it was the norm in the 70's..Smile And..at the end of the day that's your choice, end of discussion! !

Fairypants · 19/06/2013 06:45

Shock apprentice
That sounds like the sort of fun I vaguely remember from the dark ages and def the sort of behaviour to got you upduffed when you didn't want to be :)

Another one here expecting Hmm with #3. Most of my friends have 2, plus, I have a huge gap (dd's are 14 and 10!) so it's a fair assumption that we are done with it. We have mentioned to dd's and my sis's that we are 'thinking' about it to give them a chance to get their heads round it.

Beccadugs · 19/06/2013 07:37

Wow apprentice I am very impressed! It's the lagistics that worry me slightly I think!!

I think I am now in the TWW, having ovulated yesterday. I am not going to symptom spot though and have plenty of distractions planned to keep me busy for the next couple of weeks...

MummyPig24 · 19/06/2013 07:55

When I was having dc2 we told family after our mw appt at 8 weeks and my dad said "oh bloody hell!" And my nan said "well, it's up to you I suppose", she had 4 children and her first at 19 like me!

Dhs family were great but he reckons they won't be so impressed with another one. We very rarely ask anyone to help out or babysit so I'm not sure why they wouldn't like it but it is up to us!

FoxMulder · 19/06/2013 08:02

It would be big news on DH's side of the family here. Even though he's the youngest (including cousins) there's no kids yet. I have 2 big sisters though who both have them, so not quite so ground breaking on my side.

lindamagoo · 19/06/2013 09:07

Grrrrrr, can't get on to my mumsnet app on my phone. Anyhoo, think my mum has a sneaky feeling we are trying again coz she keeps talking about how old I am now and I bet I'm glad I don't have to get up for night feeds ever again, just silly wee things like that but she also knows I'm strong minded and if I want something I'll not let anyone put me off. The age thing does concern me but I had my other kids when i was 38 and 40 years old and they are perfect so one last baby at 42 should hopefully be fine too. That's why we are only ttc for 6 months, the older I get the higher the risks

blueamber · 19/06/2013 09:11

I'm quite surprised to read that having three children is considered too much by some people. I think it's a nice sized family, although then again I have two siblings and most of my aunts and uncles have three kids.

Ninunina · 19/06/2013 10:53

I'm also very surprised that some of you are preparing yourselves for stange reactions from family. I am very close to my family and my cousins and DD is the only little one on both sides so she gets LOADS of attention. Everyone is praying for my cousins to have kids so we'll have a family full of children once again. If all goes according to plan hopefully we'll have at least 4 little ones at the 2014 family Xmas.
