Well my dad is never supportive of anything I do. I think he wished we would have waited longer to have dc2. Dc1 was a very big shock to us all but we felt ready to have another when he was 18 mths and fell pregnant the next month.

My dad is one of 4 but only one of his siblings has a child, just the one who is actually younger than my two children!

My mum was one of 3, her brother and sister both have 3 children, her sister had a set of twins though.

It would be Awesome to see the looks on their judgy faces if it was twins!! But like I said we don't ask for much help at all so it's not like it really affects anyone else. We have no space or no money but lots of love to give.

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 11:14

I want 3 kids too but OH just wants 2. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for twins the 2nd time round Grin My granny was potentially a twin (she had foetus in foetu) so I'm hoping it'll have skipped 2 generations instead of the usual 1!

Least when you get pregnant Gilly you'll be the only one expecting, your sister and cousin will have to share the limelight. And yes I'm not holding my breath cause it'll be 2 weeks at least before you find out and I'd be dead! I'll hold my breath metaphorically if that helps Sad (that's blue from holding my breath not sad!)

My SIL is upduffed, her OH has 4 other kids but the youngest is 16 now and my cousin had a baby on 19th Dec last year. So it has to be me next!

FoxMulder · 19/06/2013 11:24

I'm just aiming for the 1 for now...Smile

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 11:33

Maybe you'll get twins, or triplets Fox imagine if you ended up with a huge number like octoplets or something

FoxMulder · 19/06/2013 11:35

Haha! That doesn't really happen, does it? [worried]

gillywillywoo · 19/06/2013 11:37

Lol Disney you make me laugh! Grin

Yes my sister and cousin will be sharing the limelight somewhat... And all around Christmas Day as well!

I'd definitely like 3 children... Maybe even more!!! 3 is a nice amount Smile

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 11:40

You never know Fox Wink

I think it would be pretty unlikely...

"Although there is a 3% chance of having twins, the chance of having higher order multiples is much lower:

chance of fraternal twins: 1 in 60
chance of identical twins: 1 in 250
chance of having triplets: about 1 in 8,100
chance of having quads (four babies): 1 in 729,000
chance of having quints (five babies): 1 in 55,000,000"

FoxMulder · 19/06/2013 11:40

I'm the third child, so I would say yes - 3 is an excellent number.

FoxMulder · 19/06/2013 11:41

Wow, you could have a whole litter. In theory.

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 11:44

All in one go too, instant extended family

lindamagoo · 19/06/2013 11:59

Could you imagine going for the scan, there's the heartbeat and there's the heartbeat and oh wait there's the heartbeat, lol, I'd die of shock, lol

MummyPig24 · 19/06/2013 12:03

I think twins I could cope with, triplets I would freak out and any more would send me into a meltdown!

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 12:04

Yes, I think I'd be stuck to the chair for several hours afterwards.

lindamagoo · 19/06/2013 12:07

Yeah I'd love twins (if I was younger) my oh's brother and sister are twins and she's got 11 month old identical twin boys, they are so cute Smile

blueamber · 19/06/2013 12:37

It does happen. Imagine!

My brother and sister both have one child, both born in March of the same year. It would be funny if I also have a baby in March, it is my birthday month as well. I think my sister thinks 1 child is enough, but I know my brother and his wife are ttc number two.

Redbug · 19/06/2013 12:42

I suspect we'll get a less positive reaction to number 3 than DC1 or 2, but I figure they'll come round sooner or later!

Think I'm due to ov today, so tww will probably begin in earnest tomorrow. Forgot to take temp this morning though.

lindamagoo · 19/06/2013 13:27

Our families will come round too, will just be a shock to them but the baby won't be any less loved Smile

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 13:35

I'm sure they'll come round as soon as you've told them and at the latest by the time your due date comes round. They'll be too excited about the new little baby joining the family.

Although Mothers and MIL's being what they are you'll probably have to put up with wee snide/underhand comments until they are 18.

BartBaby · 19/06/2013 14:38

Welcome new ladies Smile i hope you are all ok?

I think a lot of couples will have at least 1 family member not too happy with the news of a new baby. Mine will probably be my great aunt who does not have kids but helped out with me a lot and was like a second mam to me but i think as long as you and DH are all happy then all is good Grin and the others will soon get over themselves!

My DH's dad is a twin. And so far he has 4 grandkids (inc our DS) and no twins there so far. Im hoping its not going to fall on us!

My month is going slightly better than i thought it would. DH managed to get home an extra night so we got in more dtd. Im cd15 so far. Got a +ve opk on sun afternoon, and on monday lunchtime aswell so i think i will have ov during the night on monday/tuesday morning, which is cd14 and exactly the same day as the last 2 months! We dtd on cd9, cd11, cd13 and cd14. So im feeling quietly hopefull without trying to be TOO hopefull

Bring on the symptom spotting!! Who else is entering the 2ww?

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 15:27

My 2ww is still at least a week away. I did a ov test last night after someone advising me to do it earlier than my tests suggested (CD13) I'm on CD9 today.

Not too bothered about trying this month cause I don't want to be too pregnant in Feb so I can do a stage show but think I'll track my ov so I have an idea of when it is

gillywillywoo · 19/06/2013 16:33

Ladies! This is irrelevant but thought I'd say how much happier I am this month NOT charting my bbt Smile

For the last few months I've been taking my temp as soon as I wake up every day... I was starting to dream about doing it! It meant that ttc and bbt etc was the first thing I thought about every day and it was always on my mind. If I woke up during the night I'd be wondering if I should just go back to sleep or take my temperature there and then.. It was taking over!

In sure charting does help people and i may need to go back to doing it one day but I'm so glad I've given it a rest. I feel so much more relaxed!

gillywillywoo · 19/06/2013 16:38

Another thing that has definitely chilled me out more is using digital OPKs instead of cheapie ones with lines. No more scrutinising and agonising over lines!
Ahhh.. Feeling much better this month! Smile
OPKs at the ready to start testing from Saturday onwards Smile

ThoraNomiki · 19/06/2013 16:47

oh s tadpoles were lazily floating round on a lilo cocktail in hand...
haha that made me chuckle and I'm impressed. Concert-toilet-cubicle-DTD I hope this is your month - that would make a great story to tell the in-laws Grin

I love the idea of families with lots of children. My ideal number would be 3 but I doubt I'd be able to convince DH. There's already a fair gap between DD and a potential sibling.

Fingers Crossed for you BartBaby and anyone else entering the 2ww. Update us with every tingle

Internet cheapie Ov tests turned up today. I don't know what my cycle is going to be like so going to start testing on CD11 next week and DTD every other day just in case. I'm also going to keep an eye out for EWCM and ov pains. I got those exactly 2 weeks before AF turned up. I just hope that either way I don't have to wait as long as last time (155 days after ending hormonal BC)

Fairypants · 19/06/2013 17:03

Our families will be delighted, it's more friends who will be funny as it is just assumed that 'we're all done with all that stuff'!
No mums or mil's in our family Hmm but dm would have to approve as I'm one of 3 Grin
Am hoping to be more relaxed this month as my main aim is to lengthen lp after finding its only 10 days. I'm taking B6 but only 1 a day (25ug tablet). Does anyone have experience of taking them and how much was enough?

DisneyDiva87 · 19/06/2013 17:19

I think I'm only going to temp for a month or 2 and I'm got going to order more opks (I have 50!) I just want to get a better idea of my cycle so I have a bit of a clue but I don't want to get too stressed out about it.
