Advice re OPK please-very early smiley face

This is my second month using an OPK (clearblue digital that tells you when you are both high and peak fertility). Last month I didn't get a high fertility sign at all (flashing smiley face), it just went straight to peak fertility (fixed smiley face). This was on day 12 which was a couple of days earlier than expected but still seemed normal.

I only finished my period a couple of days ago but started using the opk straight away as my cycles vary a bit (26-30 days). Today (day 8) I got a high fertlity sign. Surely this is too early?

So, we had sex last night just for fun rather than baby making but now I'm thinking should we do it again tonight as I got the high (but not peak) fertility sign or shall we just start doing it every other day until I get the peak fertility smiley face. I don't want to exhaust DH and his swimmers but don't want to miss the window either.

I'm pleased to hear that your scan went well charley and congrats on being further along than you originally thought. I hope the sickness wasn't too bad yesterday so you could enjoy your christmas dinner.

It is exciting, but i am anxious, coz i dont know if it is a pregnancy, and if it is, that its in the right place, ill be more settled once i ave that scan.

Hi charley, yay! to see the morning sickness off, im so pleased that it has passed for you. 16weeks has gone so quickly! Are you 'blooming'?

I'm good thanks, 30weeks now! Totally unorganised and didn't quite realise I was this far along until the midwife told me (i was arguing that I was only 28weeks like a complete prat). Think I've been stuck in a crimbo vortex for the last couple of weeks and its totally frazzled my brain . I must start to find/get things ready!

Well, I wouldn't say 'blooming' exactly, but it's great to feel human again after weeks of feeling like a zombie. The sickness cleared up just before Christmas too, which was v. lucky!

Crikey, 30 weeks, that's gone quickly. I can't remember when I started getting my bag ready with DS. Maybe start making a pile and hopefully it'll all come together soon.

Hi all, I had a scan on 8th Jan, doctor said i was about 6/7weeks and he couldnt find a heartbeat. I went back on 15th Jan and said i was about 8wks and still couldnt find a heartbeat, So i ave to go to the Early pregnancy clinic on Tuesday 21st Jan.

I had to go to my gp first for him to book me into the clinic and he read the letter from the IVF clinic which told him i had the embryo transfer on the 4th Dec and he worked out, im only bout 6 wks, anyway i just ave to wait until Tuesday now.

Business fingers firmly crossed for you. Sounds positive from what doctor has said! I suppose the next scan will give you a definite result at least. Hopefully a positive one.

I had some brown bleeding last week so had to have a scan at epu and luckily all is fine and scan put me bang on for dates so I'm now 9+4 so on countdown to 12 week scan....time seems to be standing still!!!

Hi fatty, it all sounds to be going well despite your trip to EPU. I bled quite a lot with my first and it scared the living day lights out of me when it first happened, im so pleased all is well. The first 12weeks always seem to be the slowest. I have the opposite problem now, ime is going way too fast! I could do with time standing still for abit while I sort myself and the house out!

I've got my 20 week scan in 2 and a half weeks, we've decided not to find out the sex (I think). I'm feeling okay at the moment, still enjoying not having constant nausea.

Now I'm also wondering if I have conceived...
I have been using cb advance ovulation tests which so far seem to be working! Started using them from cycle day 10 and finally got my "flashing" smiley face on Monday cd 16 for 3 days until Wednesday then got my peak on Thursday which then remained a solid smiley face for 2 days.... since cd 10 I have been bding every other day. But then more frequent when it was flashing!

When I got my flashing smiley face I had sex on cycle day 16, 17, 19, 20, 22. I'm now feeling (exhausted lol) but having high hopes for a bfp (postive thinking!!) already feeling so bloated but sure that's nothing.. Lots of cm today and yesterday... (Tmi-sorry!) now in my two week wait...
My solid smiley face started on cd 20
Do you think I have had enough sex to cover the basis worried about not bding on cd 21! Is it normal to have so much cm eve though I thought is ovulated on cd 20/21??

This is the first proper cycle I have had where I have felt ovulation ...I miscarried in September which was devastating. My cycle only now have gone back to normal.
My periods are every 38 days or so... So that's why I've been using opks.

May wait 3 weeks due to cycles being so long unless period shows up! Although I'm already counting down the days....

Hi all I went to EPU on 21st Jan, they worked out i was 6 weeks , they still couldnt find a heartbeat, they give me a option to give it another week, so i did, I go bk 2moro 28th Jan . I really want this baby aswell, .

They said my gestation sac is 34 x 22.7 x 16.4 mm . A echogenic foci probably fetal pole is visible. No FH pulsations detected. CRL 5.5 mm= 6 weeks 1 day . A 10.4 x 9.1 x 14.8 mm bleed site is seen adjacent to gestation sac.

I have changed name again in case you haven't noticed! (It's fatty/Bambi) didn't want to be fatty anymore! Not feeling bad about my weight! Don't very well to keep it down during first trimester unlike with dd!

Unfortunately had to have another scan on Saturday because I had more spotting but thankfully all okay and saw a much more formed baby with arms and legs moving around and even saw its little face! Yah

Fingers crossed for tomorrow business, I really hope they find a heartbeat. I've no idea about all the technical measurements etc but I'd like to think that there's still hope for you otherwise they wouldn't have given you the option for an additional scan tomorrow.

Hi char sorry to hear about your previous loss. It sounds like you've really given it a good try this cycle and I suppose it's just a waiting game now. If you got your fixed on cd19 and roughly ovulation takes place 24-48hrs after you've covered yourself before ov with bding on cd19 & 20 and afterwards on cd 22 so you're in with a good shot. Have you read the sperm meets egg plan (SMEP) (very similiar to your schedule)? If not its a free download and worth a quick look if this cycle is unsuccessful. It's hard work and very easy to exhaust yourselves especially if you have a long cycle. Good luck, what date do you plan to test?

I hope the spotting has settled down owly, i'm pleased everything was ok and you got to see your lo again on the scan. Did they give you a reason for it, a low lying placenta or did they just say it was one of those things?

Thank you Bnbmum that's really useful information I will definitely look that up!! I'm going to try and hold out as much as I can... The first time it took me 3 weeks before a postive pregnancy showed... So the longer I wait the better but that's easier said than done. Just trying not to stress out and take things easy these next 2-3 weeks a shame my job is so stressful been tempted to go part time just for trying to conceive lol
So anyways... I might do a cheapy test next Friday 7th... And see what it says!!! So exited I feel like this will be my month hard not to get my hopes up!

I know you shouldn't but I did the cb ovulation test again and on Sundayit was solid smiley face so I dtd AGAIn and as I have two of them I did another one this morning and it was a flashing smiley face! So wonder if I should dtd tonight or not Haha I know I sound like a crazy woman...I'm not I promise! Lol just so determined this time and just cannot wait to get fat and round!! Lol

Well I mentally decided in June last year, and used the normal cb tests to conceive and feel pregnant straight away... Then on 12 week scan in September revealed otherwise.... And took the tablets to end pregnancy.. Was so devastating since then been trying trying but cycles were so messed up I wasn't ovulating and periods taking ages to come so grabbed my opportunity this time and am going for it determined! Lol especially as friends starting tryig for babies after I announced mine and all of course fallen pregnant and have no problems etc I am so happy for them but not going to lie it has been tough...

And you all are so lovely encouraging that's so nice! And I wish us all to get a bfp very soon xxx

Oh gosh that sounds awful so sorry you had to go through that! I got my bfp in December after trying for 13 months. Saw the baby on Saturday at 10 weeks and all looks fine so fingers crossed for a good scan in two weeks time! I wasn't using the sticks for whole time and the month I got bfp I ran out of sticks before fixed smiley but it at least pinpointed when to start Dtd! The only advice I have is the month we conceived we Dtd daily over the fertile window instead of every other so do it as much as possible without it becoming to much of a chore! Easier said than done!!

Oh wow!!! I completely admire your determination! I'm so impatient that's my problem!!! Massive congratulations to you, u must be so excited!! I can't wait to actually get to the point of a baby scan and actually see everything is ok!

Definitely will try that next time that's exactly what I did first time round but it was easier as was on holiday and shift work didn't interrupt the routine lol have done it this time as many times as I possibly could lol really hoping I get my bfp this time they do say next time round percentage is lower is misscaryingg again ... We shall see!!

And Bnbmum just looked up the smep and without realising that's exactly what I've done!! Haha wow you have some great knowledge there! ??
