Advice re OPK please-very early smiley face

This is my second month using an OPK (clearblue digital that tells you when you are both high and peak fertility). Last month I didn't get a high fertility sign at all (flashing smiley face), it just went straight to peak fertility (fixed smiley face). This was on day 12 which was a couple of days earlier than expected but still seemed normal.

I only finished my period a couple of days ago but started using the opk straight away as my cycles vary a bit (26-30 days). Today (day 8) I got a high fertlity sign. Surely this is too early?

So, we had sex last night just for fun rather than baby making but now I'm thinking should we do it again tonight as I got the high (but not peak) fertility sign or shall we just start doing it every other day until I get the peak fertility smiley face. I don't want to exhaust DH and his swimmers but don't want to miss the window either.

Thanks BNmum, I have been trying to eat more healthily anyway. It's just a concern that by reducing my snacks and sugary foods I might lose weight. I have been trying to increase my portions though.

I just found out that two of my sister in laws are pregnant. Happy for them but a bit upset too! And my mum is all excited... hopefully I can tell her some good news of my own soon.

I got ewcm yesterday and today, so that's positive. Fingers crossed ov was just delayed because of that job interview! They just phoned about it today and they offered me the position... but I decided it just isn't for me. I feel really bad letting them down!

I forgot to ask, those cheap OPKs, I think it says you can't use them with fmu? Does that really give a false result? Or can I just give it a go? It's just a lot easier doing it in the morning.

Waves of nausea this morning and yesterday. No physical signs of af just yet. Usually have sore boobs for a week before but nothing just yet. 4 days left till af is due!! Wish it was as simple as looking into my uterus to see what's going on!! Wishing all you girls the best of luck this week with baby making!! X x

I know what you mean blue, I still snack and think it's vital to keep weight on. I tried to be careful what i snacked on so rather than have a choc bar I would have babybel, cereal bar (full of sugar but no choc/caffeine in), fruit or nuts. I couldn't give up crisps though. I also found having dessert helped even if it was just a yoghurt or fruit and cream. I feel ravenous after writing all that Smile.

It sounds like your body is gearing up for ovulation again so you could be giving your mum some good news soon, fingers crossed! Have your cheap opks arrived then? Congrats on the job offer even if you did turn it down. I wouldn't worry about letting them down, i'm sure they appreciate you being honest and not taking the job then deciding its not for you.

I hope the preseed is working its magic strawbs

Just a quickie... Yes I think the cheap opks say use from about 11am til 8pm (or something like that not sure but basically afternoon is best). I don't know why. Thankfully for me, that time is more convenient for me anyway.

Try not to use opk too soon after a drink though as your urine may not too dilute if you see what I mean.

Hi Blue, for what it's worth, I was told by my Nurses not to use FMU (and I think the cheapie box instructs not to as well). I'm not exactly certain of the science behind it all in terms of what's the best "hour" but I think around 2pm seems to be the average preferred time (for cheapies). Good luck!!

I'm out of the game this cycle, just waiting for AF so I can "start clean" (again..) But I wish the very best of luck to you all...fingers crossed. It's not a fun game, is it (the waiting and analyzing of it all). xx

Im the same missv i ave sore/achy boobs before Af is due x

I prefer to use 11am urine, it gave a positive result on OPK, with first urine it gave me negative result.

Good morning tea1sugar, hope your well!!! The lingo still has me confused, but I'm guessing its got something to do with when's period due?? Right or wrong?? Lol, I've got until Sunday, then after that ill test or wait for period?? Can't decide, although my periods may be way off after stopping the pill last month, this month is is a kinda we'll see what happens. Hope everyone else is well. X

Yes poas means "pee on a stick!". First month off the pill can be a bit of a nightmare for lots of people, but if you treat this cycle as a "standard" 28 day cycle and test then. Good luck!

How's everyone else doing?

I'm 6 weeks today. Just 6 weeks. Why did I find out so bloody early?! Time has stood still. Scan on Monday and it can't come sooner.

I am waiting for a temp rise, hopefully tomorrow morning, and fingers crossed I'll be in my 2ww then. I'm planning on testing the day after AF is due. Missv, it's up to you. Some prefer testing early (although any earlier than 12 days past ovulation means the result is too inaccurate), whilst others prefer waiting for AF. I hate seeing BFNs, so I rather wait till Af shows up, but then again I'm impatient so will give AF only one day to show or else I'm testing!

I'm in my 2ww now, though based on the fact that period starts 10 days after ovulation, I'm expecting it next Friday as I think I ovulated on Tuesday. I will be so excited if it doesn't come! I can usually tell when it is on its way though due to crampy feelings a day or so before.

How are you tea? Kab, you're right it's not fun. Hopefully your AF will start soon and you can get going again. Any more symptoms MissV?

Hey strawberry, no af symptoms. Before I had my daughter give years ago, periods came and went when they felt like it. Heavy and painful at times during high school years but nothing major. Never any signs. Since having Ella, I have noticed I have a couple of quiet days when I just don't feel myself and don't want to talk much outside of doing clients in the salon and then for a week before my boobs feel like rocks and are painful to touch, currently I am having none if those symptoms, so here's to hoping. Af is due Sunday. So I think I'll wait until Monday.
How is everyone else feeling?? X x

Hope everyone's AF stays away!

I got my temp shift this morning, so I'm really happy. Officially in the 2ww! And I'm hoping it's two weeks as well, not 8-9 days like last cycle. I hope last time was just a weird one, where my body just couldn't hold on to all the lining that had been building up for three months, but just in case I'll start on some b6.

Think af has arrived mid hair up whilst doing a bridesmaid. The sucker is giving me some pains. But very light brown. We shall see if it continues but I think it is. But I feel blessed to have found this page as you girls have filled me with some new info, so next month I shall be ready to go!!! Good luck to all those waiting x x x

That's great news blue! Fingers crossed for a better length luteal phase and a bfp at the end.

I hope af stays away missv, it must be a nightmare when your are in the middle of a job and wanting to pant-dive all the time to find out what's going on.

How's your 2ww going strawbs?

Are you feeling any better tea? I think i'm 12 weeks but not 100% sure, i'm not tracking it like I did with #1. I have another scan this week so we'll find out more and see if they change my dd.
