Hi. Hope you had a lovely holiday!

Well, my first cycle of the pill was 28 days exactly. second time around I'm not really sure what's going on. Im meant to be ovulating today and been using the sticks but they are saying negative. Not sure whether my cycle is messed up, or whether i shouldn't Trust The sticks as they are cheapies. Really frustrated and impatient which isn't good! X

blueamber · 11/07/2013 20:50

How often do you use them ? Some use it twice a day or more so they don't miss the lh surge. But I've also heard for some they don't work. But it could be that your cycle is just a bit longer this month.

Are you looking at any other sigs of ov? I find the cervical position the most helpful.

Goldenhandshake · 12/07/2013 09:18

It was lovely thank you Blue and Shoegal

Blue let us know how you get on at the Docs, could be that the pill is still 'in your system' and your cycle needs a bit of a kick start?

I ordered some ov sticks from ebay before I went away but they've not arrived yet Hmm so I can'y offer any advice on that one I'm afraid.

I am using the fertility friend app to track my period and ovulation signs, it says I ovulated on the 9th, if that is accurate-ish, when should I be thinking of POAS? AF due 23rd July (again, according to app)

I am not getting my hopes up too much, as this is my first proper cycle now since mirena removala nd recovering from the hysteroscopy. Have had sticky CM yesterday and this morning.

shoegal84 · 12/07/2013 16:33

I used fertility friend for a week or so but foubd it a bit overwhelming. Might revisit now I understand alot more about it all. ov sticks are ok, I use once a day around the right time. Actually got a faint line yesterday so should be ovulating any time soon! means I'll be busy at the weekend dtd.

shoegal84 · 12/07/2013 16:34

Need to look into other ovulation signs. Don't tend to get a lot of cm and no idea about position if cervix. Need to hit Google I think .

internationallove985 · 13/07/2013 18:53

Hi Thought I'd drop in and see how everyone is doing, and to see if there have been any B.F.P's.
Welcome back Golden hand shake. Glad you enjoyed your holiday.
I didn't see my friend on Wednesday as was ill and not in the mood. I still saw him last night though. xxx

BNmum · 13/07/2013 19:19

Pleased to hear you had a super time golden.

I hope you're feeling better international and things are going well with the new guy.

How's everyone else doing?

Cd58 for me and no sign of af, unfortunately no pregnancy symptoms either. Think I'll buy a test on mon anyway.

Enjoy the sun everyone!

internationallove985 · 13/07/2013 20:40

Hi BNMum. I'm fine now thanks. I don't think the fact that I didn't dtd on Wed has made any difference really as I am not in my fertile window. However I don't suppose it does any harm to practice. .L.O.L. and I certainly made up for Wednesdays lack of dtd last night. (Big smile) xx

shoegal84 · 14/07/2013 20:57

Hi all. Hope you've all had a good weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather. I'm just getting more and more frustrated. currently on cd18 and should now be in my 2ww following a perfect 28 day cycle last month. Although according to my ov sticks, I haven't ovulated. so maybe i'm in for a long cycle? Or, is it possible to not ovulate?

Hope everyone else is getting on well. x

BNmum · 14/07/2013 22:18

Hi shoegal it is possible not to ovulate every cycle. Also, it is possible that ovulation could be delayed, you may have missed your surge or maybe not detected it (I've heard that internet cheapies are really difficult to interpret, although I've no personal experience). Just keep testing and keep dtd.

I'm pleased that you're feeling better international

Any sign of af blue?

How's things with you Crista?

how's your 2ww going golden?

Goldenhandshake · 15/07/2013 09:18

Hi everyone, I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine I had a lovely chilled weekend spent at the park and then the cinema yesterday with DD. I hope you all had fun, sounds like you did international

Shoegal I second what BN said, keep testing and more importantly dtd, and try not to get too hung up on the opk strips, (easier said than done I know). I initially started using FF so I could track roughly when AF was due and work out my cycle so from that end its been very useful, not sure how good it is at predicting fertile window, but we will hopefully soon see!

BN I am not totally sure how it's going to be honest, I keep thinking I am being paranoid over every twinge I feel or possible symptom.
Past two days I ahve had TMI alert some low down stomach cramps, nothing major though, and loose stools. Although i ahve convinced myself its the heat or something I have eaten. Not been sleeping great either, getting maybe 5 hours a night but again it could be the heat.

Tea1Sugar · 15/07/2013 09:27

Shoegal, maybe you've had an anovulatory cycle or missed your positive opk. I only got mine by chance. I began by testing at 10am each day and then on cd12 I just had "a feeling" so retested at 6pm and had a smiley by the next morning it gone, so only had a short surge. Keep dtd!

blueamber · 15/07/2013 09:39

Shoe gal, your body might still be adjusting to not being on the pill. Another possibility could be that what has been suggested that you missed the surge. If its the first time doing opks you might not have caught the right moment or you might have to learn to interpret what ov looks like for you on an opk. Don't worry!

Bnmum how are you?

I have decided not to see the GP just yet about my missing af, because I think I'm heading for ov again! Just hope it's a real one this time, and not like last time when I got all the signs but it just didn't happen. It feels better this time though as I got loads of ewcm and my cervix is more open.

Funny how my body has worked. Since stopping the pill, every four week it attempts to ov, but up till now it's been all false starts. I say funny, but i mean frustratingly, of course. Third time lucky!

blueamber · 15/07/2013 09:42

Shoegal have you read into other signs of ov? Just relying on opks can be misleading.

MrsLadyL · 15/07/2013 15:47

Ladies!!!! Couldn't get back on this thread! Anymore BPF? I'm still trying :( hope you're all well

BNmum · 16/07/2013 11:18

Hi ladies, thought I'd pop in and let you all know that I got my BFP yesterday Smile. According to my cb digital test I'm 3+ weeks Shock. It still hasn't sunk in, I keep running off to the bathroom to look at the test.

Anyway, I hope this is the start for many more BFPs to come on this thread.

Goldenhandshake · 16/07/2013 12:59

OMG BN that is fantastic news, I'm so happy for you! Congratulations
Please do keep us updated with your progress xxxxx

tinypolkadot · 16/07/2013 14:57

Fab news BNmum !! Grin

Wow, 3+ weeks! I wonder how many weeks you are. Congratulations!! Flowers

MrsLadyL · 16/07/2013 15:22

Brilliant news well done X

BNmum · 16/07/2013 19:30

Thanks guys!

I'm also wondering the same tiny, according to the cb leaflet 3+ weeks since conception would be the equivalent of 5+ weeks Shock. I'll ring the docs in the morning and get the ball rolling. I just needed a day or so to get my head around it all.

blueamber · 16/07/2013 20:55

BNmum, think I congratulated you somewhere else already, but it can't be said enough: congrats!! Smile

The clearblue test calculates the weeks pregnant by measuring the level of hcg. So either you ov'd earlier than you thought or your levels are higher. There's a lot of variation in hcg levels amongst individuals or then again you might be having twins Grin.

Only way to find out how far along you are is to have a scan, which I presume the GP will want doing to estimate your due date.

CristaBell · 16/07/2013 22:50

congratulations bnmum that's brilliant and guess what I'm joining you Smile I got a bfp on Sunday then done a digi yesterday to confirm and it said 2-3 weeks, like you it hasn't sunk it yet and I actually feel a little bit scared but happy at the same time Smile xx

Goldenhandshake · 17/07/2013 10:18

Congratulations Cristabell terrific news! xxx

I am getting antsy about testing, is 8dpo too early?

shoegal84 · 17/07/2013 13:05

Yay! huge congratulations to you both. exciting times.

Hopefully more of us can join you soon. Can I ask, how many cycles of trying did it take to conceive? x

BNmum · 17/07/2013 15:31

Oh my life, that's so bloody brilliant Cristabell, to think that we started off as cycle buddies too. I was so convinced you were preggers last month, I'd obviously just got ahead of myself Grin.

I hope this is the start of things to come for everyone. This was my 3rd cycle shoegal but it could easily have been the equivalent of my 4th as it was soooo long!
