Mushi I am the same, I am not even in my 'fertile window' yet and am so impatient.

I think I preferred DD conception, not having a clue about it Grin

DisneyDiva87 · 17/06/2013 11:16

Don't worry Mushi, I think the first cycle drives you crazy cause it's all so new and exciting and you don't really know what your doing or looking for. I went completely crazy last month but am feeling a lot more chilled about it this time round (cycle 2).

Beccadugs · 17/06/2013 11:35

Yes I agree Disney...

Feel much more zen about TTC now that it didn't happen first time, and am enjoying it more...

BNmum · 17/06/2013 12:00

Great news blueamber, good luck and I hope you manage to dtd lots over the next couple of days.

It's still early days mushi, I would just forgot that you even did the test and wait until Thursday had been and gone (if you can hold out). It doesn't mean anything, you're still in the running. Fingers crossed x

Sounds promising international, do you feel it's making the baby making more meaningful and special after getting to know your fella abit better? Have you approached the subject of children with him yet (bit of a difficult subject I should imagine but a very important one)? I hope it continues to go well, you must be entering your fertile window soon.

blueamber · 17/06/2013 16:48

How are you bnmum?

This ov pain is something else, I'm doubling over! It's probably because everything is so rusty inside after being on the pill for ages Smile

BNmum · 17/06/2013 18:12

I'm fine thanks currently in 2ww and pmt seems to be setting in as I'm in the worst mood EVER!

I hope the pain isn't too bad! X

shoegal84 · 17/06/2013 18:34

Oh no, hope the pain clears up a bit. I'm still on cycle one and no idea where in the cycle I am. so just enjoying dtd and hoping af stays away. guess the pressure comes when you know when to expect things.

internationallove985 · 17/06/2013 21:29

Hi BNmum. My fertile window is from 21-27 June. I will be making love on 21 and 26 June. Ideally it would be more often but at the moment circumstances don't allow us to see each other more than twice a week.
Yes, We're getting on well. The strange thing is though the night we met. I wasn't even supposed to be going out. I was just a last minute thing. Talk about fate! I don't think we'll ever be serious though (you know living together serious) but as they say never say never!.
T.B.A.H I've not yet found the confidence to talk of the subject of children. Think I'm scared of him running a million miles. Yes I know there are plenty more stars in the solar system, but I would rather stick with the one man.. Tahnkfully he'snoever mentioned contraception.
If I do get pregnant I will just say it was a very very happy accident, after all what he doesn't know can't hurt him, and if he chooses to stick around (even if he doesn't wasn't to be with me but still see the baby, then that's fine) However if he runs for the hills then that's not the end of the world either as I am certainly not a stranger to being a lone parent. xxx

BNmum · 18/06/2013 07:11

What cd do you think you're on shoegal?

Sounds like things are going well international and I hope you have the courage to mention children soon. I assume he knows that you already have a child so he can't be completely adverse to children. Sounds like the timings fit in well with your fertile window this month so good luck.

Are you feeling better blue?

shoegal84 · 18/06/2013 07:48

Well, according to my app (which is all I have to go on as it's my first cycle after 13 years on the pill) I'm on cd20.

Couple of questions. How long does implantation take? Also, not sure if it's a symptom or a urine infection but I keep needing the loo (as close together as 5 minutes this morning) and then when I go there's hardly anything there. Any ideas?

blueamber · 18/06/2013 09:35

Hi everyone. I'm feeling better. Pain eased in the evening so at least I know it's not appendicitis Grin. Really excited we've caught the right time, we'll see what happens in a fortnight.

shoegal did you notice any signs of ovulation? App is not very accurate if it's your first cycle off the pill. Implementation takes place between 6-12 days after ovulation, but since you don't know your cycle it's impossible to say really. If it's an infection it would probably burn as well when you go to the toilet. Just keep an eye on it and drink plenty of water, even though you might not want to do that if you need to go every 5 minutes!

bnmum hopefully AF stays away. What I have read on the forum here, some women say it felt like they had all the usual symptoms of AF and then it didn't show Smile.

shoegal84 · 18/06/2013 09:52

Glad you're feeling better blue. I know not to trust the app at the min but it's all I have s a rough guide!

I didn't notice any signs of ovulation but it must have happened by now add is cd20! Still dtd just incase though. Had a little cramping this morning too, and it's not burning when I pee. Will keep drinking lots of water and keep an eye on it. x

blueamber · 18/06/2013 10:04

shoe it might not have happened yet, it can take a while for your cycle to go back to normal. I had a little surge of hormones two weeks after stopping but not enough for ovulation to happen. My body then just skipped AF and started all over again, so 2 weeks after I was expecting AF the surge happened again, but properly this time. I basically just skipped one cycle.

MushiMushi · 18/06/2013 10:22

Ok, I caved in and tested again this morning (I'd bought a 2 pack, there was no way I was holding out another few days with one in the house!). I did it first thing in the morning, took it back to bed with me, looked after a couple of minutes and nothing. Went back to sleep for 5 minutes. Woke up again when my partner's alarm went off, told him it was negative. Then half an hour later he went off to work and I looked at it again and there is now a faint line.

Not sure whether it's an evaporation line or a positive. I wish I'd managed to hold out a little longer!!

Goldenhandshake · 18/06/2013 10:26

Glad you are feeling better Blue I thought I ahd ov pains whilst I was on the coil but the consultant informed me it was the coil jabbing my uterus. Nice.

Shoe I am using the app too, but this is also my first cycle off contraception so I could be wildly off the mark, it's given me a fertile window of 20th to 23rd this month (peak predicted to be the 23rd) and then an expected AF arrival on 8th July. We will see though.

DisneyDiva87 · 18/06/2013 10:39

Glad the pain didn't last too long blue fingers crossed for you!!

Maybe you should try holding off a day or 2 Mushi and try again, it could have been an evap line this morning but it also might not have been.

I'm using an app on my phone too but got opk's so I can test if I'm actually ov'ing rather than just relying on the app.

BNmum · 18/06/2013 11:41

I didnt ov until cd24/25 so keep dtd shoe. All the ov calc said I'd be fertile cd16-21 so I'm really pleased I used OPKs and didn't give up too early. Of course, it still might not have made any difference but I feel better knowing we gave it our best shot. Like blue said it's really exciting catching the right time.

Fingers crossed mushi, was that another early response tests? Will you test again in the morning or wait a few more days?

Thanks for my pick me up blue, I will keep reminding myself that that can happen Grin

shoegal84 · 18/06/2013 13:26

Think I'll end up getting some of the ovulation sticks but felt a bit weird doing it in cycle one so will probably wait until next month.

oracle0711 · 18/06/2013 14:03

Hi, all I thought I would chip in, I'm going start TTC in July. First time I'll be trying, anyone else starting in July? Smile

Goldenhandshake · 18/06/2013 14:38

Hi Oracle, welcome!

Realistically I will be starting in July, as this month is my first cycle after a Mirena coil removal, so very doubtful anything will happen this month :) Doesn't stop me hoping Wink

MushiMushi · 18/06/2013 18:02

Blue I get awful ovulation pains. This cycle I was doubled over with pain. It was only after going to bed with a hot water bottle and a couple of co-codamol that it started to ease off.

It was a boots early test BNmum. I'm due on Thursday so I think I'll hold out, if nothing happens I'll test again on Friday morning. And the wait continues...

internationallove985 · 18/06/2013 20:31

Hi Oracle0711. Welcome to the thread.

Good luck with your testing Mushi Mushi. I'll keep everything crossed exept my legs. (L.O.L)
Please let us know how you get on. xxx

oracle0711 · 19/06/2013 09:07

Thanks everyone, I'm purposely not telling my family as I know they will only stress me out with questions, lol.

blueamber · 19/06/2013 12:42

mushi it's weird, wasn't expecting it! At least it's a very clear sign ov is happening Smile.

shoegal84 · 19/06/2013 13:01

I think I'm going to have to go with the ovulation sticks next month as I just don't have s clue. I don't seem to have any symptoms of ovulation.

Keep needing the loo and have the odd stomach cramps. No idea whether it's ovulation, implantation or a sign that af is on it's way!
