Thankyou for your reply goldenhandshake, in regards to sperm donation. Just looked at the cost though and can be up to £1,000 so I don't think I'll be taking that route.

I'll just stick to this guy for now, at least I don't have to pay him to make love to me.
I've given myself a time limit though if I am not pregnant with in year (whether)this new guy or someone else) I'll think about looking in to adoption or I might just buy a puppy or kitten xx

1Catherine1 · 22/05/2013 22:31

oh I do love kittens and puppies. My DH wouldn't let me have one so we're going down the baby route Hmm You know, them being so similar and all...

Well ladies, I was sure I could resist temptation and not do a pregnancy test until the day after my period is due (the 29th) but you are weakening my resolve with all this talk of poas! I won't let myself build up for a disappointment although as ridiculous as it sounds I'm sure I'm imagining pregnancy symptoms Confused so I think secretly I really do want it to happen this time around even though it could cause problems ahead. Tbh though, next month really would be perfect for all us poor teachers. My DD was born in March and ML worked out beautifully, I returned to work for 5 days before the summer just so I could reclaim my classroom, gossip with co-workers and watch films. Best of all - full pay in the summer and almost full pay for July!

Ladies, I have a confession to make.....I haven't a clue whats going on with my body, TMI alert so I came off pill on the 12th then from the 15th had a 4/5 day light bleed, so started DTD every other day then yesterday I had a clear gloopy discharge, could this be the mystical EWCM? I have to say the things that come out of our bodies!!!!!Shock

GnomieGrace · 23/05/2013 06:46

Well fingers crossed that was enough Coffee!

It's nearly Friday ... Thank God!!

Monstamio · 23/05/2013 10:37

It's not just nearly Friday. It's nearly Friday AND a bank holiday weekend. Woo Hoo! Grin

MushiMushi · 23/05/2013 11:52

Hmmmph, well I was expecting to start my period 3 days ago and still no sign. It's a bit annoying as I thought I had my cycles sussed out but obviously not. Last night I went through my calendar, rather helpfully I've noted down 7 cycles over the past year. The average length is 25 days but they have varied a bit, with the longest cycle being 29 days but generally around 24/25. So now I'm on day 29 but no sign of period.

Obviously I'd be excited if we'd actually been trying this month, but there's no way I'm pregnant. I just want it to hurry up so I can get going on my ttc mission!

Anyway enough of my menstrual woes. Good luck to all those poas!

MushiMushi · 23/05/2013 11:55

Oh and what does everyone think about this news about iodine in pregnancy? I'm sure I must get enough anyway as I'm not vegan/veggie, but it's made me think maybe I should get some proper conception/pregnancy multivitamins just in case. I'm only taking folic acid at the moment.

C999875 · 23/05/2013 12:45

No 1Catherine1. Puppies and kittens are not he same as babies (hence the sceptical icon) (face) but they do need to be nurtured loved cared for and protected as you would do with a child, and you still the same unconditional love and acceptance for who are as you do with children. x

Monstamio · 23/05/2013 12:59

Mushi I've been reading about that today. It's interesting because the advice is to get more iodine from milk and dairy (as well as fish), but other advice says don't drink an excessive amount of milk because of the potential to cause insulin problems for the baby (I don't know the details, haven't had time to read at length, though I will). And certain kinds of fish are also a no no. You can't just eat herrings every day!

My doctor advised me to take Vitamin D as well as Folic acid whilst ttc so I'm on the full pregnacare vitamins as it seemed easier than faffing about. I've just checked and it contains 93% of the RDA for iodine. Maybe worth upgrading to that... it can't hurt, can it?

GnomieGrace · 23/05/2013 13:06

I warned you about the Google!

I'm taking Pregnacare Conception, it pretty much has every vitamin and pregnancy related mineral known to man in it, though I have found myself ahhem "gassy" out of the rear end over the past few days.

It's a hard road to walk, so many studies say, take this but not too much, don't take that unless xyz etc so confusing!

itsnotrocketscience · 23/05/2013 14:44

Hi all, sorry about all the BFNs, sending fertile vibes to you all! I'm only day 7 now, got a good feeling about this month, find myself looking up what my due date would be if got pregnant each month!

Good luck to those testing next few days.

itsnotrocketscience · 23/05/2013 15:08

By the way my DS (2.6) has out of the blue started telling me he wants a baby sister!

C999875 · 23/05/2013 16:18

Hi Itsnotrocketscience. I thought it was only me who did that looked up due dates (if I was pregnant) Although I haven't checked for this month.
My D.D is always saying she wants a baby brother. I'd love a boy as well to be honest. There's something incredible about the mother and son bond, isn't there, but then you'd know being blessed with a son. I hope your D. gets his baby sister. Perhaps you are already pregnant and your son knows. (They, whoever they are), say children are phsycic (sorry, terrible speller. xxx

C999875 · 23/05/2013 16:18

Sorry D was meant to say D.S. XX

Coffee1Sugar · 23/05/2013 16:56

So blunt and out there but can toxic farts be a positive sign?!
