We've run out of room on Karbea's Jan IVF thread and it is too much fun to stop! We're all getting into comfy clothes and enjoying the side effects and surprises (and occasionally some hand holding).

Good luck again noks!

Just to let you know scan and bloods were all good, though there's not much to see at 5+1... Just the gestational sac and possible yolk sac. They mainly wanted to confirm the pregnancy. Anyway, now nothing till 18/04 when I should be 7+6, to hear heartbeat. Seems ages away.

Failed to buy a larger bra this morning. I need 32dd and everyone is Thailand has such small boobies! Argh.

Thanks, girls. It means a lot to know that you have been thinking of me (and Mr Noks, who has been awesome today).

Although I am obviously upset and really disappointed, I am going to have my follow-up appointment with the consultant but have a few months off before going for any other ivf type treatment to try to get my body back to 'normal'. I may try the holistic route for a few months - has anyone else tried this after an IVF BFN ? I have been having acupuncture to try to make my cycles longer than 24 days and had a couple of reflexology appointments to relax (but not for fertility as I had just started IVF and she advised against it for that purpose). I just wondered if any if you tried Chinese herbs for fertility ?

I think I need a plan B to focus on something and try to stay positive. It's not over for me but I do need a plan in place to feel as though I am doing something to help myself.

Any help or wise words will be gratefully received here at Noks Towers.

choco and scarlett - how are you both doing ? Really nice to hear from you. I hope things are getting a bit easier for you both.

fairy I did two tests this morning but both were negative so I don't think the result will be different with a blood test. I'll ask the nurse when she calls on Tuesday though. How are things with you ?

keeps am really glad that all is well with mini-keeps. You make sure you take care of yourself. Good luck with the bra shopping !

euro look forward to seeing you at the next meet. Let us know when work is a little less hectic.

shazza thanks, honey. I am glad you took my mind off of everything yesterday. It was so lovely to finally meet you.

Noks xx

Noks I'm glad Mr N has been looking after you. I hope you both manage to rest abit for the rest of the weekend and your few days off. Maybe you can book in that other reflexology treatment as a treatSmile.

Of course you are upset, it's terribly disappointing after everything you have been through but you sound like you have thought about where to go from here and I wish you loads of luck with that. Of course it's not over for you. I hope you get your follow up appointment soon.

I have tried herbs in the past but not for fertility. I can advise you a practitioner though who apparently gets good results if that is helpful. Not sure how much he is though. He works from a centre in Notting hill.

I'm glad that it helped to meet up yesterday. I had a really nice time and look forward to getting together again soon.

I hope everyone else is ok today. I've spent the day cleaning. It took me 2 hours longer than usual but I'm letting myself off. Mr S and I are going to treat ourselves to food and a movie in Brixton tonight. We haven't been out much with saving for treatment so it's a treat. I hope I can stay awake til the end of the film!

Much love to you all.

Shazza xx

Thanks, shazz. My acupuncturist can also prescribe herbs so I'm going to book an appointment with her next weekend just to talk things through. If I need the name of your guy too, I'll let you know.

Well done with the Mrs Mopp routine - I have resolutely ignored any type of dust or untidiness over the past couple of weeks so will have a blitz myself tomorrow.

Enjoy your evening at the pictures (as my nan used to call it !).

The last time I went to the cinema in Brixton to see Hotel Rwanda (yes, that long ago) I was offered heroin and crack. I hope the same doesn't happen to you Shock.

Hi noks I've never tried acupuncture, reflexology or herbs but would if I had to keep in TTC. If nothing else it should help to relax and reassure you which given how stressful the treatment is it's worthwhile.

I'm much better now I've had a second scan. We told DS and he is delighted he will be a big brother. I haven't told anyone else yet who doesn't already know. I just want to take it as it comes. It'll be pretty apparent pretty soon though as I am expanding daily.

Hello ladies

How are you all today?

Noks are you ok?

Im supposed to be sorting out the piles of papers that are covering my desk. But it's boring. I keep thinking about having a roast dinner! And I'm veggie. Maybe it's all the ads on tv that are getting into my subconscious.

I hope you are all having a peaceful day today wherever you are.

Much love

I've just been out for a nice pub lunch with friends. now about to lay into the easter chocolate. :)

We've pretty much filled this thread and we are on the last day of March, so I'm going to pop off and start an April-June thread for us.

Hello girls,

Apologies for the radio silence, I have been pimping out Gramma in Amsterdam and doing an impressive amount of DIY (plus spending lots of money on home improvements). We have felled a tree, reorganised the shed, purchased a drinks cabinet (yes, really) and a v funky cow hide footstool. Went shopping today for a wingback chair but haven't made a final investment decision yet. (This is not just nesting syndrome, it's also the result of buying a house and getting down to the final bits and pieces).

So sorry to hear of your news choco and noks, it's a game of chance isn't it.

shazz We just had a roast dinner (chicken) and have just killed a Lindt bunny. Always feel a bit bad destroying the cute looking bunny. Discovered this morning that my boobs are starting to peer over the top of my bra, always such a good look, the four boob front. Not sure whether it is me indulging in Dutch treats and Easter chocolates or boobs ramping up for duty. Back to normal eating next week!

Shall I create a 'Pregnant IVF worriers' thread & see if that works?

Oh, and am definitely up for an April meet up! Shazz, did Noks get in to a scrap with a cab driver on the way home? ;-)

dildals glad you had a nice time back home. I would be surprised if the bra overflow was due to anything other than that you are pregnant with twins! Euro has just started a new thread that is a continuation of this one, i can't decide whether it would be better to have a separate pregnancy after ivf thread. It doesn't seem as though there is enough of us yet but on the other hand I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable because I was lucky enough to have the treatment work.

shazza I am craving everything at the moment, I have become a total glutton. Now I'm not nauseated any more flavours seem much more intense and delicious. One of the few nice side effects of pg I suppose.

Have created separate thread for the pregnant worriers amongst us. If it works, great, if it doesn't, then it will just die a peaceful death like many a MN thread. Although my name will always be tainted with failure - oh the burden! ;-)

fairy do you KNOW how much I have been eating?! ;-)

I am strangely at ease lately, not too worried about the scan, and not counting down the days.

Gosh we are coming to the end of this thread. I feel sad to be moving on. Although im obviously grateful that i have been blessed and am lucky enough to be able to settle in the worriers corner. Let's defo meet up in April. I'm away 8-14 so maybe when I get back?

Dildals I'm glad you had a good time in Amsterdam. Sounds like you've been busy in the house. And the preggers boobs are kicking in. An excuse to get some new underwearSmile. I think Noks got home ok we were only on the OJ although we were both longingly checking out the big glasses of red going by! Thanks for the new thread. I've just joined up.

Euro, I'm creating a meat eating monster inside me! Honestly the little bleeder is transmitting evil thoughts about the crispy skin of a roast chicken.... Enjoy the choc. See you in April.

Fairy I'm glad you are ok and the sickness has passed. I wouldn't say that I feel sick but I'm definitely needing solid food. The thought of anything wet makes me feel swimmy.

Well I'm off to try to flog some stuff on eBay. Babies don't come cheap so my plan is to sell our possessions. We will need a clutter free house anyway. Grin

Loads of love and luck to everyone. Thank you all for your unending support. I can't imagine how I would have coped with out you all.

See you soon.
