As if ttc wasn't nerve wrecking enough, we like the extra challenge of getting that BFP while still breastfeeding a baby or toddler. While this isn't an easy endouvour, it certainly isn't impossible as many graduates on the previous threads prove.

I'm posting a link here for any newcomers about fertility while breastfeeding.

Am also wonderig if you'd like to have some sort of stats for the tread members. I'll just start myself.

Yes eggs still keeping my fingers crossed for you- I think implantation leering can take lots of forms.

Really difficult with the SWI, isn't it Sunny. We found it quite hard to work up the energy and knowing you're on a crucial day doesn't really help the romance of it all. I had made up my mind to not do OPKs this month to see if we felt slightly more relaxed.

Welcome Rosielea! So impressed with you expressing for your DD1! Sounds like AF might not be too far away for you now.

Flowerface · 01/09/2013 14:16

Hi, just signing in! Really pleased to have found this thread! My DS is 16 mo and only feeding a couple of times a day but this is obviously still too much for me! I have been having continuous PMT and periody pain for a couple of months, much to the joy of DH.... But no AF

Thanks Wild and Sunny- it was one of the few things I could really do to help her in the early days and I prob would have gone longer but my supply dwindled to nothing when I got preg again. It has been wonderful and healing feeding DD2 and it has been something special for her when a lot of time is spent on care for her sister. I can't bring myself to wean her so just got to hope my body sots itself out :D
Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

eggsnbeans · 02/09/2013 04:27

Hi Flower, glad to see you found us Smile and welcome Rosielea. Very impressed at how long you expressed for! How old is your DD1 now?

Bugger on the no swi during fertile times Sunny! My DH always seems to end up working really long hours around that time too, so far too tired to think about it when he gets home! Been meaning to ask how your DS is too Sunny? Do you think his hearing is improving at all or is it too early to tell yet?

How are you feeling Wild? Any nausea yet? Is the bf becoming unpleasant? I bet you're still just Grin Grin Grin

No change here... still thinking I had a very light period but might test on Wednesday anyway not clutching at straws at all!!!

AF started this morning! My DD2 will be 26mths in a couple of days! So glad I don't have to wean my lovely girl :)

rosielea · 03/09/2013 06:27

Eggs, DD1 has just turned 4-she is physically very disabled but just the brightest, happiest little girl.
Sunny- I have found feeding DD2 so supportive to her, not just nutritionally but emotionally too and i'm sure it's made a big difference to your little guy through a difficult time :)

So should that be it now, good to go?? What's the business with luteal phase defects?
I think I joined the thread really after reading a couple of other people got their AFs after joining...and it worked!

eggsnbeans · 03/09/2013 09:25

That's awesome news about DS's speech Sunny Grin and about your DH getting a new job! It must be such a relief Grin

And great news on AF coming back too Rosie Grin are you into charting and OPKs?

Caved this morning... BFN, which is probably a good thing as I've hardly had any sleep thinking about it for the past 2 nights and am totally shattered! Also got a call about one of the jobs I applied for yesterday, but they wanted me to come for an interview today and I had to say no as I have noone to look after DD Confused He was going to ring back last night but heard nothing. Ah well, what do they expect at such short notice? Just a bugger cos it was a great job Hmm

Jeez was almost rethinking having no 2 today... someone i know just had 3rd baby, 12lb - naturally, no time for pain relief, head came out fast then got stuck at shoulders and took a further 15 mins to deliver Confused had to manually manipulate his hands down or something. Anyway, it's not looking great at the moment. MW told her baby would be a good size, meaning 8.5-9.5lb, maybe 10 at max, never dreamed of 12lb. And she's only a tiny wee lady too. Just makes me so thankful that everything with DD was great!

I got preg with DD1 unexpectedly (had only been with now DH 3mths) and then got preg with DD2 after only 1 AF so not tried charting and such, we're going to start actually trying in Jan, which will be a novel experience!
eggs my daughter has Cerebral Palsy from a birth injury and I'm in contact with a lot of other mums who's babies had a lack of oxygen at birth for a variety of reasons- is your friends baby in NICU?

rosielea · 03/09/2013 13:37

Sorry should clarify, I know a lot of people who birth injuries have happened to in forums and facebook groups so not that it's a common thing just that I've gravitated towards them.

Wildwaterfalls · 03/09/2013 21:37

Wow fast moving thread!! Eggs really sorry re bfn Hmm. Fingers crossed you'll get a call back about that job though!

Sunny where are you in your cycle? Are you on the 2ww now? Very exciting...

And Rosie the experience you're having of bf DD2 sounds so lovely. I'm really enjoying bf DD now that I am back at work as it really helps maintain our close bond.

Coming up to 6 weeks pg here, still can't quite believe it and have no symptoms other than general tiredness. Hope everything is ok. Scan in about 2 weeks.

eggsnbeans · 03/09/2013 22:41

Great news that you're feeling so good Wild! Have you seen MW yet? Will be a huge relief one you've seen that heartbeat on the scan Smile

Yes my friend's baby is in NICU getting chilled Rosie, I think they're warming him up tomorrow maybe. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have a baby in there. The pics have been enough to have me crying Sad

Just a quickie: I think it says on the Kellymom website that Evening Primrose Oil is good for people TTC when BF? I am not sure how true this is, but it does seem to be good for people who have the massive hormonal grumps so am going to keep taking it!

Sorry this isn't a proper reply to every/any one but I am reading and rooting for you! Smile

We are down to one feed a day now... Hope that makes a difference!

eggsnbeans · 05/09/2013 20:45

It's OK Sunny you weren't tactless at all Smile Sorry to hear about lack of SWI Sad Hope you have a good LP though!

Flower... sorry don't know about the EPO, had read something about it a while back but can't remember how it's supposed to help Confused I just went for the B6, which seems to have helped bring ovulation forward from d25 to d20-21. Are you going to give it a go?

Flowerface · 05/09/2013 20:57

Didn't know about the B6 but will give it a try! I was having hideous PMTish symptoms with no actual AF - for months!! - and the EPO has helped a lot with that. But not sure it makes the slightest difference when it comes to conception...

rosielea · 06/09/2013 06:52

Oh no Sunny you weren't tactless! Sorry if i brought awkwardness to the thread.
I don't know about specific supplements, but i do wonder if my body is a bit low on resources after 2 pregnancies and feeding 2 babies.

Nicknamefail · 06/09/2013 19:19

Hello.
Just read some of this thread with interest as I am going to start ttc soon and feeding lots and no periods yet. This has given me hope, thank you!

eggsnbeans · 11/09/2013 02:29

How's everyone doing?

You still feeling good Wild? Have you had your scan yet? Keep meaning to ask how your DDs birthday party went Smile Hope you had a great day anyway! Have you told your family your news yet???

Any sign of AF again yet Sunny?

Not much going on here, dtd week is next week Grin

Wildwaterfalls · 11/09/2013 09:17

Hi eggs! How are you? Good luck with the SWI next week... Keeping my fingers crossed for you this month. Did they ever call back from that job to rearrange the interview? I hope so!

The birthday party was a lot of fun, lots of little ones there and thankfully nice weather so we were in the garden with all the toys etc. Did you have a party too for your DD?

Things here are fine... Very tired which I guess is a good sign but also (tmi) have had a couple if instances of CM which has had a very slight pink colour I think. So that has me worrying again. Scan is next week at 8 weeks.

DD is getting much more 'obvious' around wanting to bf by the way. She will start pulling at my top and bury her head in my chest. Very cute although maybe not so much in public!

Hope everyone else is well!
