TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment ) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

2be yep I guess you're right, I wish I hadn't bothered testing now as could have saved on the tests!! My af due tomorrow but dont know whether to wait till sunday as I can sometimes start my af during the day. Although I haven't had my usual pains that I normally get so perhaps I should POAS tomorrow morning with first wee if I haven't got af overnight?! Arrrggggghhhh what do you ladies think? Hope you manage to hold out till Wednesday 2be like you cd maths frazzles my brain too!!

Ok ladies. Well I was supposed to POAS on Monday or Wed, but my nuttiness took over. I looked up the stats for the brand I've got in countdown to pregnancy at it said there was a 40% chance of getting a false negative. So I did it! And? Well I'm not sure. There are def two lines, not as close as the are in the picture on the stick. So I'm not sure. I've tried to upload a picture on my profile - would you mind looking and seeing what you think? I am so trying not to get excited!!

And why did I have to do it?! I could have had a nice glass of wine tonight!!

Just had a look at your pic 2be and I don't want to get your hopes up if I'm wrong but that looks like a pos to me!! I only had a v.v.faint line with ds1.

Thanks for all the smiley high fives! So pleased things are actually working as they should and I didn't miss it. DH and I are ships in the night tonight so I don't think there will be much dtd after all but we've done it 3 times in fertile period so fingers crossed. I am much more hopeful than last month for some reason. Here goes the 2ww!

OMG 2be This is mega exciting. That looks like a definite line to me. Argg.OK I'll not be too excited until you are sure but I am anyway!

Hey 2be - I can't see the pic as I'm on my phone but a line is a line - my 1st BFP with DS was faint - sounds like exciting news!!!

Eeeeeeek 2be I dont want to get too excited for you ( well I do but you know what I mean!!) I looked at your pic on my tablet,( bigger screen) and that looks like a line to me for sure. How you feeling?

winter that sounds like a good amount to give it more than a fair shot at it this month and glad you are feeling better about it this month :0) hope the 2ww isnt too bad for you!

Hi nutters, hope you are all ok? Have been using the opk's lots and spending lots of time dtd (! Probs tmi, sorry!) and now rapidly heading to the dreaded 2ww. Bought a load of cheapy preg tests on Amazon so I can indulge the poas to my heart's content! How's everything?

Hey smidge hows you? Glad you have got loads of dtd in ; 0) all pinkies crossed for you! I didn't hold out, came back as a bfn . When I thought I had got a faint line, I hadnt POAS I had peed in a cup and dunked and it was an afternoon wee! Im currently using superdrugs ones, as they have hcg detection levels of 10hcg but imjust wondering whether anyone can offer advice on pg tests? Its weird as I hhaven't had my normal pains or af headache or the crappy driving ( yep that happens that my driving is different, not dangerous!) Bb's feel all tingly here and there too. Any advice will be greatly appreciated :0)

Af still not here yet, did another test ( different one) and still come back as BFN so now feeling a little down :0 ( im normally quite a patient person, but this is just frustrating!! I think I might have to keep myself busy tomorrow and if nothing arrives af wise but monday morning then try another test. I hate not knowing! !!! Arrrrrgggghhh. Sorry, rant over! I promise! Hows everyone? :0)

Aww abi How annoying. Fingers crossed that af stays away and you get a line tomorrow. It's hard not knowing for sure one way or another.

I'm in good form, 2 dpo today and I've been super busy so haven't been thinking about it much. I've a hectic week ahead too so before I know it. it will be the weekend again and I'll be another week dpo!

2be How are you? Managing to keep the excitement under control? When are you going to text again?

Winter - I am excited but very nervous and I don't know why. I don't want to test again in case I get Bfn!!! I know I should be jumping up and down, but it should've been too early for a BFP! (I know so why did I test?)!

Maybe on wed or Fri when AF is actually due?

I hope ov comes soon mummy and I'm glad your DS had a great birthday. At least we have our existing kids to keep us distracted and happy through the tedious waiting of each cycle.

We had a bit of a hectic weekend too with one thing and another. All good thought! Busy week ahead too so before I know it Sunday night will be here again soon (and then I'll be 9po and seriously thinking about poas!).

Ladies, I have surprised myself with a BFP tonight! I wasn't sure whether to post because I see lots of other frustration and disappointment. Equally I didn't want to just disappear. AF not due until Weds/Thurs so it could all still go wrong. Really hoping you all get the results you want, whatever they are, ASAP x
