I'm due in 5 days now Hmm I've usually been ok when AF has arrived but I was absolutely convinced this month was THE month !! I've been symptom spotting like crazy I'm convinced my boobs hurt haha I'm sure they don't !! My fingers are firmly crossed for you all Grin

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 26/02/2013 19:32

I'm keeping everythin crossed for everyone... Actually not everythin Wink supposed to be dtd as much as possible as due to ov the end of the week and since me and dh don't live together it makes life a little awkward to say the least x

toffee01 · 26/02/2013 20:35

Yes metime for me AF is due between the 5th and 8th of March.
Even after that BFN from the poundland test I'm still convinced I am pregnant.
Earlier I almost had a shock when I undressed for my shower. My nipples seem HUGE. I'm sure they've enlarged.
I showed them to DH who took a lot of interest and looked at them thoroughly, only to tell me in the end that "nope, they've always been like that" Angry
Well if that's the case then I have always had very freaky nipples.
Also last night I tried to sleep on my tummy, no way my boobies were too sore. What's the deal with that then if it's not pregnancy?
Well metime, I hope at least one of us gets a BFP in March! Good luck to you!

Newtothisstuff · 26/02/2013 20:54

Wow toffee that sounds really promising, I remember being like that when I was pregnant with DD2 ! Grin

metimeatlast · 27/02/2013 09:00

well toffee i doubt it will be me, dp wreckons that im not havnt told him about my symptom spotting as he says i talk about babies too much anyway i have no symptoms left whatsoever now, not even a wiff of a line with fmu this morning, funnily enough i never got any lines with DD 3 years ago until i was late, then only the faintest of faint on 2 sticks days later. ds16 still jokes about cos he found them in my handbag a few weeks ago and they still had the lines! (they were in my handbag due to me at the time taking them to my mate and sayin is there or not a line haha) and i just hadnt used that bag in a while but do now. im not holding out much hope though to be honest, i dont feel at all positive for this month, and my mate says ive had my pmt head on that i used to get about 1-2 weeks prior to af Grin and looking back over the last few days she isnt wrong, however i had put my grouchiness down to it being half term... and having one or both hungry, crying, fighting or bored and just not getting that break that college and pre-school bring.

PopsyWind · 27/02/2013 09:32

Good luck to those about to test - Toffee your symptoms sound very promising!
Actually your's do too Metime, I think I've said before but the cycles I was preg in the past have been the ones with no signs at all...

I'm in the no mans land between AF finishing and shagathon starting.... On the plus side I can have lovely booze without feeling guilty Wine

BamBam21 · 27/02/2013 09:50

Hi all!

Still all sounding positive for you toffee. I was Grin about your DH taking lots of time to examine your boobs!Grin

Rainbow I love your story about your DD "knowing" you were pregnant! DS1 still tells me that he sees my gran, who died when he was just 3 weeks old, and that she talks to him.Smile

There is nothing like TTC to make you go a bit mad. Like others, my main pregnancy symptom was having no symptoms at all, and yet I tell myself that every pregnancy is different and you just never know etc etc. Argh! My boobs are a bit sore, and I have a small spot on my chin, so AF is no doubt coming, but can I stop myself thinking differently? Oh no!GrinBlush

Now this may be the wrong thread, but as you all have DC already you maybe can help. I am looking for easy foods for DS2 to eat, as I feel that everything he eats is out of a Hipp jar!Blush He loves when I cook shepherds pie, soup etc, but I can only cook at the weekends as our flat is so tiny I can't take him in the kitchen with me. He only got his first tooth at about 11mths (he has just turned 1) and now has 2 bottom teeth and 1 top. He has always been a bit gaggy with food, but strangely not with home cooked stuff. Basically, what could I give him that's not out a jar? Is he too wee to have apple slices? If he had carrot sticks would they have to be cooked first? Could he have slices of crusty bread etc?

I feel a bit Blush asking this as he is my second baby, but DS1 just ate anything and everything, and it was 9 years ago and I am getting geriatric and forgetful!Grin

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 27/02/2013 11:01

Bam bam it frightened the life out of me... I was so careful not to mention being pg around her incase somethin happened and the day we told her she said 'yes mummy I know.. Bampy x told me!!' He use to visit her regularly as she was sleepin in his old room! She grew out of it tho bit even now she's obsessed with ghosts and the paranormal!

Just had a very positive ov test so will be dtd tonight whether dh wants to or not!!!! Grin

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 27/02/2013 11:05

Bloody iPhone!

Try anythin and everythin with ds bam bam... If your doin apple slices make them chunky and take the peel off abs they'll be fine... I would say raw carrots as they are crunchier and less likely to break off.. Cucumber sticks with the peel off?

chocoholicalcoholic · 27/02/2013 11:10

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on for a while and only then it was a me me me post. I hope everyone is well and enjoying ttc Wink

BamBam toffee Queen three - thank you for your well wishes but unfortunately things didn't work out. I had a mc last week. It was such early days at 5+2 but wow I didn't realise how much it would floor me. I feel a bit all over the place emotionally but I think a lot of that is because I'm still not quite over the flu, I still feel a bit weak and pathetic! Not sure where we are going from here as we both feel a bit, I dunno...scared I think? I can't believe how much it has affected us when we had only known I was pg for just over a week! Crazy really.

Good luck to you all ttc number 3 Smile

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 27/02/2013 11:27

So sorry choc my friends goin thru the same thing at the mo is her 6mc... 2nd in 4 months ....

Keep resting and look after yourself (((hugs)))

BamBam21 · 27/02/2013 11:31

Oh I'm so sorry chocoholic. Look after yourself, and remember you can always come here to moan/vent/hand-hold etc if you want to.

Thanks for your reply rainbow. Is apple okay at this age? I am terrified of giving him something that he might choke on. I remember DS1 eating all sorts of stuff, but I can't remember quite what age he was!

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 27/02/2013 11:51

If you worried.. You can get a net type thing that you put the food in your ds would it and them chew or suck the net for whatever's in there... But id honestly try him with apple to hold or you hold and let him have a good gnaw on it.. Or you could start him with home made chunky apple sauce to get him started?

Home made wedges are always good too Smile

BamBam21 · 27/02/2013 12:41

Thanks rainbow. I don't know why am being so cautious as I was quite happy to give DS1 pretty much anything (within reason!). Did anyone else find that they felt less confident in general with baby number 2 than they did with their first? I wonder if it's because of the bigger age gap.Hmm

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 27/02/2013 13:14

I was exactly the same bam bam and will probably be 10x worse on #3... I think our age has alot to do with it to be honest x

BamBam21 · 27/02/2013 13:21

You could be right rainbow. I was a sprightly 25 when DS1 was conceived, and now I am a matronly (almost) 36!Grin I just seem to prevaricate constantly over decisions with DS2, whereas I just did stuff with DS1. Funny really.

I made DS2 a cheese sandwich for lunch, and he loved it! He would usually have had a jar of something, so I am really chuffed that he liked it. I am also thinking he might like skinless sausages, and maybe tomato or lentil soup mushed with bread, as he loves my homemade soup but I can only make that at the weekend!

Rainbowsandpotsofgold · 27/02/2013 13:42

Could you freeze some? And defrost it? Over cooked rice so it's gloppy is another one?

I'm rackin my brains to think what dd2 used to eat!! Dh won't be pleased I'm supposed to be workin Shock I'm just having an overly long coffee break Smile

toffee01 · 27/02/2013 15:15

Choco I am so sorry! Make sure you get plenty of rest if you can, I hope you're being looked after xxx

Bambam I had sent you a message on this thread earlier but it's nowhere to be found now! God knows what happened to it.
Anyway I was saying have you tried Annabel Carmel's books? They are fantastic.
I use to do big batches of her recipes and freeze the rest. It's really easy.
When they were really little I used to freeze things in icecube trays, but when they were a bit older I used pots, or freezer bags. I used to find it so rewarding to cook them my own stuff (at least I knew what was in it!!)
Hope that helped.

metimeatlast · 27/02/2013 15:32

aw,sorry to hear your news choc hears sending you big hug (()). when i read your post this morning it did bring a tear for me too, its not nice to just get your head round it then it be taken within such a short time. take care x

Newtothisstuff · 27/02/2013 18:22

Sorry to hear your news choc Hmm

I stupidly stupidly POAS earlier B F N AF due in 4 days Hmmwhy do we do this to ourselves

BamBam21 · 28/02/2013 10:12

Sorry about BFN newtothis. Just remember though, it's not over 'til the Evil Red Witch makes an appearance!

Thanks toffee. I might have a look at Annabel Karmel on my kindle. I am thinking of stuff like slices of French stick, cheese, sausages etc. Stuff that's really quick to make, as I can't take him into my tiny kitchen with me and don't want to have to leave him in his high chair while I cook!Grin At the weekend I will make soup, mince etc and maybe freeze some, as he loves it. I am going to try to give more finger foods now, as he seems interested in it whereas he never was before!

Still no sign of Queen? Hope you are okay dearie.Smile

toffee01 · 28/02/2013 13:52

Bambam in that case yes I would recommend giving him a hole apple which has been peeled and then he can nipple on it, but I was always nervous about finger food, in case they bite off a big chunk or something.
I use to cook some frozen veg and give them that as finger food, at least I knew they were limp and soft.
But honestly, freezing is less of a performance than people think. Smile

toffee01 · 28/02/2013 13:53

OMG! Nibble not nipple! How embarassing! I should definitely preview my messages. Blush but you knew what I meant

fruitpastille · 01/03/2013 08:06

Hi everyone, sorry not been keeping up with the thread but clearly toffee egress a bit obsessed with nipples Grin

Choc, look after yourself.

I am thinking about testing over the weekend as i think af is due on sat. I am also over thinking possible boob tenderness and faint metallic taste (probably just too much tea!). I need to remember to do it first thing in the morning which is tricky while half asleep!

fruitpastille · 01/03/2013 08:18

Not sure what is going on with my predictive text. Egress, wtf?
