Hi fruit yes, definitely obsessed! But at least i'm not the only one who doesn't preview her messages!! (what on earth did you mean by "egress"? Wink

Good luck fruit for when you test! I nearly tested this morning, opened the test went to the toilet and then I told myself "No! It's silly, don't be a child!".
After all AF isn't due until the 5th or even later, so a cheaper Poundland test wouldn't be sensitive enough to detect any hormone changes I'm sure.

Now.... does it matter if I opened the test? Not the cap but the protective foil type thing.

Will it still be good in a week's time?

I'm not that positive about my symptoms anymore. I was very ratty this morning, I can't help thinking that AF is on its way.

Although my nipples are a funny pinky colour and they stick out. Maybe it doesn't mean anything.
I will know soon enough.

Keep us posted fruit (can't wait till tomorrow hopefully you will let us know asap!!) x Grin

fruitpastille · 01/03/2013 16:57

I can hardly wait till tomorrow myself! I have really started to feel like it will be positive so could be in for disappointment.

I reckon a test will be fine out of the pack.

I am feeling quite guilty as i drank about half a bottle of wine at my book group last night. Stupid, i should have just had a glass and that would have seemed ok as i do have the odd glass while pg usually. I dont know what i was thinking.

How is everyone else doing?

metimeatlast · 01/03/2013 19:53

oh for gods sakes! i have just been out and spent a tenner on a boots 2pack, rushed trying to do the test, when i opened it without reading the bloody leaflet i took the wrapper off, soaked it in a pot of pee for 10 seconds, then found the fatter stick digi part that ya stick it in, so then thought how odd... shoved it in anyway for it to display "see leaflet"....id only soaked the wrong end in piss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now the test isnt working. tadaaaa!

Hello ttc #3 crew. Just been trying to catchup threads, busy days and my eyes are closing! Must go to sleep, laughing at nippling on apples. I poas four days before af due and got bfn. Af is now a day late, almost two days and too nervous to poas again, yet. What if bfn? Will feels daft getting hopes up but also what if bfp? Am now nervous how will I feel about that when not just an idea anymore, how will I cope with 3? Actually I think that's the ok part, I am more nervous about being preg and dealing with the two dc. Sorry for going on, could just as soon wake up to af tmrw, have been four days late but only once ever, hence my nerves! Good luck ally.

Are you going to test fruit?

fruitpastille · 02/03/2013 07:57

BFN here. Legs were shaking, adrenaline i guess. I feel ok at the mo.

Fairypants · 02/03/2013 08:16

Aw sorry fruit, could you have tested too early?

fruitpastille · 02/03/2013 08:32

Don't think so. Fairly sure LMP was 3rd of Feb. I feel a bit foolish as i was writing name lists with DH last night. He now says he thought we hadn't dtd enough.

WhenYouHearThatFireAlarm · 02/03/2013 08:40

Sorry fruit, I hope you feel more settled as day goes on, maybe go out somewhere if nice weather where you are and get the sun, Haven't tested yet, will wait until four days late as really got hopes up last time and then quite a shock when af appeared, never been so late but maybe same again this month. Morning everyone hope you all have a reasonable weekend. Off for a Brew

fruitpastille · 02/03/2013 09:23

Fingers crossed for you wyhtfa!

Fairypants · 02/03/2013 09:39

That seems like a typical DH response fruit as well a being a good tip for next month. Give yourself a treat day today if poss. X
Fingers crossed for you whenyou.

Thingymajigs · 02/03/2013 09:44

It's been a while since I've been on this thread so I need to catch up. Still trying for number 3. Ds2 asked for a brother or a sister again yesterday and it struck me that the age gap between my youngest and future baby would be 10-11 years! 14 for ds1. I'm hoping the age gaps will be a positive rather than a negative aspect.
Currently in 2ww, cycle 9. Good luck to everyone.

toffee01 · 02/03/2013 21:19

fruit sorry for this month! Try and do it every other day next month if it's possible. Good luck xx (just in case I would try again in a few days maybe if AF still not here)

Thingy on the contrary, I think the gap will be very nice. My yougest is 6 nearly so the gap will be quite big too, but my youngest has so far been "the baby" and is very clever but not too mature for his age bless him, so I don't think he could have coped had he been any younger and had a little baby bro or sis.

I think he is kind of ready now, and definately will be when/if the baby comes.

Update: Signs of imminent AF for me I'm afraid. I have had daily period cramps for the past week or so which is weird, but I am feeling quite premenstrual.
very tempted to do a test but determined not to spend to much money when I could just wait for AF (in theory).
Woke up last night at 2am and couldn't sleep for 2 hours, tossing and turning having anxious thoughts about pregnancy, new baby etc...

Good luck to everyone who is testing/expecting AF soon xxx

In the meantime, I'm enjoying a glass of wine (and maybe another half a glass afterwards Wink)
Are you girls carrying on drinking alcohol while TTC?

Thingymajigs · 03/03/2013 06:04

Yes, same here. My youngest is such a mummy's boy and definitely would have suffered with serious jealousy issues if I'd fallen pregnant earlier but now he's really excited about the idea about being a big brother.
I do drink wine but generally around AF and up to ovulation. 1-1.5 bottles a month. I used to drink a lot more but age and hangovers put a stop to that.
Don't lose hope yet toffee. Lots of people report cramping during pregnancy. Have you thought of buying a packet of Internet cheapies for testing? After 6 months of wasting money I bought a packet of 20 for a couple of pounds.

toffee01 · 03/03/2013 14:42

Thingy I'm probably going to sound very tight but I have bought some tests from the pound shops but still don't want to waist them Blush
But 10p per test is amazing! Did you buy them from ebay?

AF is not due until about the 5th to the 8th, so I'll wait a bit longer to test.

Same here re alcohol, I will have one (120ml) glass of wine, 2 max and that's it, otherwise I'll be drunk and wake up in the night dehidrated. Not worth it. I used to drink more too.

Anyway I hope i'm pregnant, otherwise, what excuse do I have for looking so bloated? DH today told me that I had a big bum (but that he liked it!) and I've always been a size 8 Blush

I've been eating like an ogre recently so if it's not pregnancy, it's got to be the early menopause or something.

toffee01 · 03/03/2013 14:43

Sorry not "waist" but "waste", I still can't be bothered to preview messages Blush

Newtothisstuff · 03/03/2013 16:21

Hey everyone !
Are £1 shop tests ok ??
I'm always a bit skeptical about them, I dunno why.
AF due today, hasn't appeared yet but it's lurking I can feel it !lol

toffee01 · 03/03/2013 21:41

New good luck! Are you waiting or are you testing?

Mine is due tuesday or friday. I hope the cheap tests work!!! I will test tuesday probably. x

mumoftwoboysS · 03/03/2013 21:56

I know I said I'd go away till I'm definitely ttc but have been wondering-

dtd on day 8 of cycle (Oh seemed keen to despite saying he didn't want me preggers for at least 6 months!) would it be possible to conceive??

I have no idea when I ovulate tho so maybe should find that ouf first. charting temps but thermometer only goes to 1dp so not sure if I'll actually know when temp does go up/down...

I'm going to avoid dtd around day 14/15 anyway as I want a girl ;-)

WhenYouHearThatFireAlarm · 03/03/2013 23:30

Re the drinks, I do but not usually around middle of month and never v much, get a headache almost instantly on the vino nowadays! Toffee I hate that dehydrated wake up thing! Always have glass of water to match each glass wine but doesn't always work, just go to the loo more!
Newto I would think the cheapie tests are exactly same as usual price ones from high street, maybe just cheap because bought in bulk and sold online, not in shop etc.
Still no af here, have been 3/4 days late before though so not testing yet!

Newtothisstuff · 04/03/2013 01:04

Toffee.. I'm just waiting... I tested 5 days before I was due and had a bfn. So don't want to get my hopes up. AF is definitely lurking. I can feel it. Plus other than sore boobs and a few cramps I don't feel up duffed lol with 1&2 my boobs changed shape straight away. They are exactly the same Hmm boo lol
Good luck to everyone tho Grin

WhenYouHearThatFireAlarm · 04/03/2013 09:45

Well am just gutted, af appeared suddenly this morn, no cramps etc. shocked again as only second time ever had a 34 day cycle, usually am 29/30 days. Had started stupidly to get hopes up a lot as had no real pmt last few days, just a cramp a week ago which made me think af was coming then. Not even crying, just deflated and feel can't be doing with it all, should just be grateful for what I have, just a niggling feeling I can do it all once more but dd2 is 2.5 and dd1 is 5 and I just wanted them as close as possible. Don't know whether to try again or not. Just a bit of spotting so I tested just now and of course was bfn, now hoping af full on by end of day so can get it over with and decide whether to try again. Sorry self pity post but need to get it off my chest. Good luck to those waiting to test or hoping af fails to appear. Brew and chocolate for me, have a huge pile of housework to do also but it's going to have to wait. Smile because rant over and need kick self up butt and get on with other stuff.

toffee01 · 04/03/2013 10:27

Sorry when for your disappointment. Hope you're not feeling too bad!

Sending you big hugs x

It's annoying when AF arrives unexpected with no symptoms (well unless you're not TTC). I agree, definitely don't do housework, try and do fun things and chill out if poss.

See how you feel next month but I would say that the gap between your youngest one and your new baby wouldn't be that big even if you didn't get pregnant straight away.

My youngest is nearly 6 but actually I'm not that bothered about the gap. If anything, it will be easier as they will both be at school. I felt awfully guilty when I had #2 that I couldn't concentrate on him solely or on my DD.

So that aspect doesn't bother me. For me it's age Sad

Anyway, you might be trying to comfort me too in a few days time if AF turns up.

I do feel extremely odd though, I've even got veiny boobs now. Defo not testing before thursday (how am I gonna manage to wait that long?).

BamBam21 · 04/03/2013 10:28

Hi all! Hope you all had a good weekend.Smile

Sorry about AF WYHTFA.Sad Mine turned up too unfortunately. I started spotting on Thursday afternoon, and it has started properly today, bang on time dammit! I have the same thought as you, about whether I really want to keep trying or just call it quits with my 2 boys, but a big part of me is desperate for a daughter. Mind you, what if I had another 4 boys??!!Confused

Still keeping fingers crossed for everyone else.

BamBam21 · 04/03/2013 10:31

toffee I bow before your awesome willpower! Thursday seems like such a long time away!Grin

toffee01 · 04/03/2013 11:59

Sorry Bambam for AF. I'll be feeling like all of you when (if) I get AF. Do I try again or shall I just be contented?
My willpower will be short lived I'm sure. After all thursday is such a long way away Wink
