Hello ladies

I would like to start a thread/bus/merry-go-round to meet, get support and share with ladies in the same boat as me:

TTC baby no 1!

Will you join me and see it through to the BFP?!

A bit about me - I'm 29, DP is 35. This will be our first child.

Ahhh nay bother fairy
Its not personal, the t'interweb can be easy to misconstrue what some people say/mean, so no skin of my nose.
Yeah that's what I meant, hoping it was a 'real AF' so I can start to work out my cycle length, thanks for getting back to me too!
X

Fairydogmother · 15/02/2013 08:49

I'm 2 months off the pill and hoping that this month is a lucky one! It's so bloody hard to know what's going on in there lol x

Meemawandmoonpie · 15/02/2013 09:03

Looks like we're in the same place!
Good luck and fingers crossed.
I'm secretly hoping headaches every day and cramps are a good sign for me, but I reckon I may be OV'ing but not entirely sure what that feels like TBH as I've been on the pill for 15 years.

Fairydogmother · 15/02/2013 09:29

I got awful pain in my side this month which I never had being on the pill ever.

Now got to wait to test - argh! X

Meemawandmoonpie · 15/02/2013 09:43

Exciting... Not the pains obviously though x

Meemawandmoonpie - sorry, I realise I came across as rather confrontational. I was just confused. I hope I didn't upset you too much. This is all rather emotional stuff isn't it!

Meemawandmoonpie · 15/02/2013 15:35

123234345
Was a bit confused, but no harm done, 'Tis a very emotional time for all! Take care and hope to see a BFP next to your name soon!
Smile

WakeyCakey · 15/02/2013 15:44

meemaw I have just properly looked at your name. I live Big Bang and it has brightened my otherwise shit day.

Meemawandmoonpie · 15/02/2013 16:27

wakey I abso frickin lutely love Dr Sheldon Cooper! I'm a bit of a nerd girl in RL, I'm glad it brightened up an uninspiring day! But I do hope truly, that it's gets perked up a bit more for you x

WakeyCakey · 15/02/2013 18:24

Well struggling with flu at the moment so I think this month is a waste of time. Only actually manages to DTD 3 times so far in the last 2 weeks. Hoping I perk up by next week, although ovulation is still a bit of a tease for me as I have no idea if its happened or not already. Just waiting for next AF then starting again.

Hope everyone is getting a bit more action at the right times!

ELA88 · 16/02/2013 14:48

Happy weekend everyone! I am in a much better mood after long awaited weekend and half term :-) hopefully a relatively stress free week off work for me and DH will help us with TTC! Hope everyone is well and wakey you're feeling better xxx

Fairydogmother · 17/02/2013 08:19

Happy weekend back!

Wish I was off work next week! I was wedding dress shopping yesterday and I think I've found the ONE! X

ELA88 · 17/02/2013 08:25

Aww that's so exciting! I loved wedding planning! Now were married though we have nothing to plan for at the moment or countdown to! When is the big day? Xxx

Fairydogmother · 17/02/2013 09:25

It's 5 September 2014 as we were hoping to have had a baby by then! I'm one for doing things out of order lol x

lucieloos · 17/02/2013 12:05

Hi there everyone,

Can I join you as well please. Both my dp and I are 33 and ttc #1. Came off the pill about a week ago but stopped the pack mid cycle (and missed some of the pills from the first half) so my cycle is a bit messed up at the moment. Had a break through bleed shortly after but no idea when AF is due at the moment. Wish it would hurry up so I can start working out OV!

Anyway fingers crossed for BFPs for us all soon! :)

Fairydogmother · 17/02/2013 16:41

Hi there lucieloos x

PistachioTruffle · 17/02/2013 18:14

That's very exciting Fairydogmother! I loved looking at wedding gowns, what's it like?

In TTc news, I'm on cycle day 26 and have given up on the OPK's for this month with a few left in the pack after getting no smiley face and little in the way of EWCM. I think I'm going to test on the 26th (next tues) if AF hasn't turned up then.

ELA88 · 17/02/2013 19:50

Aww that will come round fast though! We got married in November, but tried for a baby a couple of months end of 2011, with no success :-( so decided to stop, wait till we're married and try again as soon as we could after! Random question though girls...I'm on month 2 now and today ive been getting stomach cramps like mild period pain, according to my period tracker app I woul be ovulating tomorrow if I had my normal 28 cycle. But I had no AF at beginning of feb, so can I still ovulate? Xxx

OiBlin · 17/02/2013 20:23

Hi everyone, mind if I join you on this lovely thread?! It looks like a very supportive (and lucky!) place to be!

I'm 31, dh 30, ttc #1 for 1 month only so far. Currently waiting for AF to finish to start the whole roller coaster ride again! How familiar it was reading all the posts... 1 little month in and I'm already paranoid it won't happen, been on every site seeing average time to conceive (and seeing which statistic I like best)... Symptom spotting, twiddling thumbs during first 2ww... Head saying 'give over, you've spent the whole of your 20s avoiding pregnancy and babies and now you'd like to conceive this very month?!' Heart saying 'er, yeah and what of it?!'

Nice to let it all out here, as dh is already worrying I've turned into a woman possessed and we're trying to keep number of people who know we're ttc to absolute minimum...

Anyway, good luck to everyone here and massive congratulations to those who've got their bfps! Xx

Zumbasmyfave · 17/02/2013 21:56

Hello all I'd like to join!

I'm 27 & my DH is 29, we have been TTC since jan. Came off pill beginning december and haven't had a proper AF yet which is a bit of a bugger! I was on it for YYYEEEEEEAAAAARRRRSSS though so I suppose that it would take time. Am so keen though!! If I'd known it would take so long to get back to normal I would have came off it sooner.. ho-hum!

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Fingers crossed for BFPs all round soon!

xxx

Fairydogmother · 18/02/2013 10:13

The best way to describe by dress is that its swan like! but in a very good way lol.

its def hard to figure out whats going on with cycles etc - the pill is brilliant but things are weird when you come off it! wish i'd come off months ago rather than leaving it until december Sad

ELA88 · 18/02/2013 12:39

Do you have a link to the dress online fairy? I miss wedding dress shopping! I wish I'd come off the pill earlier if I'd known it would take this long to get my normal cycle back! I think I ovulated today as I had a sharp period type pain in my right ovary! Hopefully because today would be when it was expected! Xxx

123234345 · 18/02/2013 17:05

I went to the GP today as we've been trying for nearly a year so I thought I'd get the ball rolling with tests and things. She gave me a form to go for blood tests and said that once those have come in she will refer me to the fertility clinic. I'll keep you all updated with what happens in case anyone reading this is getting to the stage where they want to go to the GP.

Fairydogmother · 18/02/2013 20:26

It's a pronovios dress - uldar I think it's called.

Fingers xd you're ovulating and have been DTD plenty!

123234345 hope the tests etc come back quick and you get get good help x

ELA88 · 18/02/2013 23:50

Wow amazing dress! I love the skirt part, it's so different! There's so many gorgeous dresses on the website! Jealous! Haha going to attempt to dtd every day till my AF is due in 2 weeks (supposedly!!) xxx
