Thanks all. Im not quite sure how I am going to make it through the next 8 weeks. 4 weeks today. Seems like a long long way until the scan, especially when I am already knicker checking 50 times a day. Hope you don't mind me here still, not quite really to get involved on another Fred yet.

Fantastic news pink! Maybe us saving same name will send lovely baby vibes to me! No chance for me this month as only Dtd once at cd11 and then a few times in last few days .AF due on 2/3 Jan so will be keeping all crossed for feb! So happy fr you pink and good luck to everyone else x

Amazing news pink! Unfortunately knicker checking is a constant habit around here. I'm just over 8 weeks and it still feels like an age until my scan on 22 jan.

Booze - no it has not gone quick! Each week feels like three at least!
I'll be 9 weeks on wed and have scan on 22 jan. I also have a week holiday in between as it is my 39th (!!) birthday so hopefully time will pass.
I'm ok. Very tired and hungry. Sore boobs and that's all really. No ms, just a bit of queasiness every now and again.
My SIL had two mmc so you figure the panic in the whole family! I'm trying and failing not to worry too much but all I can do is wait.

Wow lol 8 weeks? I'm sure it must be agonising for you, but in a way that is reassuring for me, I'm sure it was only last week we saw you get your BFP! makes it seem like time will pass quick! Here's hoping!

pink yes, fingers crossed. It's not often I hope for my luck to rub off on people at the moment, as it hasn't been great recently., but for now, sprinkling healthy baby dust in your direction!

Blol and ibelieveinpink I'm okay. Getting to that point in the 2ww where I think I've imagined all the symptoms. Last night we stayed in a lovely beach hotel in Florida. I had a margarita with dinner and went red hot and felt sick the rest of the evening so maybe... Otherwise it's just pneumatic nipples and weird not-burps. Can't explain them. It's like just before you're sick and your throat contracts. Get them all the time (had them in the evenings last pg).

Oh well. Driving to New Orleans today and then we're having three nights in the same place which will be a novelty. Still planning to POAS the day after tomorrow unless I crack after buying the HPT twin pack

Omg! booze I felt sick every time I had an alcoholic drink over Xmas! Thought I had just had too much at my Christmas do (I know, I am a bad TTC-er, and I do really hope it hasn't affected tiny embryonic pink!) but turns out it wasn't that!

Heehee. It absolutely hasn't. I think you have about six weeks grace. I love margaritas. And we're staying in the margaritaville hotel. So I couldn't not... But also, I don't want to get a bfn and regret not doing anything on this holiday.

Sorry to bring the mood down a bit girls, I'm going to be taking a break from MN for a while. Sadly it's become apparent that something isn't right with my babymaking machinery as AF is just not turning up, been to docs for tests and they don't seem to know (or care haha) what's wrong but apparently I'm not ovulating. We're still half-heartedly ttc in the hope that an egg will just pop out one day but I'm afraid I don't think I can cope with being the one who has to cheer from the sidelines without ever being allowed to play the game, so I'm going to take a leave of absence while we try and fix me. I found Christmas horribly hard (kept thinking about the 7-month bump I should have been lugging around) and am just not in a very good place right now. Hopefully I'll be back sometime next year on one of the 'due in..' threads!

i'm so sorry to hear that peanut . i remember when i was diagnosed with the molar pregnancy, i was told we weren't allowed to ttc for approx a year and i lingered on here for a while but it did upset me as i was unable to join in, so i went off the radar for a while. but thankfully i'm back (they discovered they had misdiagnosed after me panicking every day for 2 months). i hope they refer you to a doctor that cares. and who knows maybe that little egg that's in hiding might appear sooner than you think xx

Hello everyone. I thought I'd post here as I'm lying awake thinking about this - what advice were people given about waiting for first period before ttc again? I went for a scan a couple of days ago after medical miscarriage and the doctor said everything looked fine but we should wait until after first period until ttc. I guess we have to do what he says but I just feel so gutted as the info we were given implied we wouldn't have to wait. We are worrying about having a massive gap between siblings (4 years +). Also I just want to feel 'normal' again. It's been so bloody miserable and I want to start having sex with my husband again. I don't want to be reminded each time that we won't have a baby for at least another 10 months (because using a condom is something we'd not usually do). I feel a bit pathetic getting hung up on 6 weeks or whatever wait as there are so many people with worse problems ttc, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks.

ninja, I'm so sorry for your loss. it seems everyone gets different advice. I was told two months. I was so overwhelmed by everything that I didn't question it at the time. Other ladies have been told one cycle, others told to crack on. I wonder whether it's as much emotional as physical. Maybe I looked like an emotional wreck/slightly unhinged?! Saying that though, I waited one cycle before TTC and I'm glad I did. First AF after mc was horrendous. Heavy bleeding, massive clots, and I'm glad I got whatever it was out of me. However, lots of ladies don't wait, and have healthy pgs so it can't be that important.

Hi ninja sorry to see you here. Ditto what booze said really. Most people told wait 1 cycle, which I did. For me it was the right thing to do, I felt a bit, erm, cleared out if that makes sense! I didn't want to, but under the advice of a friend to has been through it several times I waited the one cycle.
But I have seen a few people here who didn't wait and have perfectly happy little bumps growing. So really up to you and how you feel.

ninja I totally know what you mean and I felt the same. We didn't wait til after first af even though advised to do so as I just couldn't bring myself to use contraception etc. It didn't work anyway and I have had two wtf bleeds recently, so no idea what's going on with me! I just felt glad to be able to have sex again. So just to provide another angle on it.

Oh dear lol. I had hot lemon and honey, paracetamol and snorted olbas oil...they did help!

So. I caved. And tested. Then realised I'm only 10dpo and AF not due until Friday. BUT I got a faint BFP, corroborated by the independent adjudicator (DH).

I'm cramping like anything though. Dr Google has reassured me this is fine, but it hurts. Off to find paracetamol and wait and see what happens. Absolutely terrified.

Ooooooh booze this is exciting news! Have you got a frer lying around???? How faint is the line?! Are you testing tomorrow again?
I know the terrifying feeling. I was shaking when I saw a line and all I could think of was the mc!
