Congrats bottle and fx for you zombie. I'm sure this is the start of the next round of BFPs.

Welcome MotherofCleo. I too think I'm OVing today or tomorrow , nice to have some company for the dreaded 2ww!

Purplemonster · 17/12/2012 16:55

Oooh is this it, is this the start of all the festive BPFs? I'm VERY excited! Congrats bottle and Zombie, a line is a line, so I'm going to say congratulations to you too and keep my fingers crossed.
My news is that when you sit watching a film with a dog in it and say to your other half 'the dog doesn't die does it or I'm not watching it' and he says it doesn't HE'S LYING. Cue me wailing beating his chest with my fists and sobbing like a child "why did you make me watch a film where the dog dies you bastard!".
He proposed to me the other day, sort of, I might have to change my answer in light of the dog incident...

MotherOfCleo · 17/12/2012 17:24

Ahh congrats purplemonster how bloody exciting! I'm still waiting for that question to be asked. Smile He is tied into a 30 year mortgage with me so hopefully it is just a matter of time.
I feel your pain happylass here's hoping huh! Only time will tell I guess, right I'm off home for among other things some BDing Wink

MotherOfCleo · 17/12/2012 19:41

hummm, had ov cramps all day but just did an opk and got a negative, now im confused. It's my first month using opk so not sure if I could have missed my surge? Or maybe I'm getting pain prior to ov? I've been using an opk each day for 4 days and all are negative so far. Sad very annoying.

MeanMrsMustard · 17/12/2012 20:33

I never got a smiley using opk sticks. I heard a few people here say its best to test on the second wee of the day. No idea if that's correct!
I used a cbfm this month. I got the peak egg on cd17, which is later than I though I ovulated. I get random twinges and pains throughout my cycle, so hadn't been going by them, but I normally get light spotting on day 14/15 and had assumed that marked ovulation. It seems now it happens just before.

I think I miscalculated my AF due date, which is actually Wednesday not tomorrow. Damn. Another day added to the two week wait! I am having AF symptoms though - a churny stomach (although thus could be a bug, have been feeling dodgy lately and most of my class have been complaining their tummies), cramps, and shooting pains up and down my, er, bits. Roll on Wednesday...

happylass · 17/12/2012 21:59

Mother what type of OPK are you using? Last month I used the CB digital first thing on cd11 and got a negative. Something made me test again later that same day and I got a Smile which was gone again the next day so it's easily missed. Got OV pain later on cd12 so guessing that's when I OVd.
Having OV pain again now on cd12 again. But for the 1st time since TTC it's on the left. So hoping that's luckier!

Bunnygirlie · 17/12/2012 22:13

Just logging on to catch up on the thread, nothing to say really.

Hope you are all well Smile

Keep up the good POAS work Zombies!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 17/12/2012 23:39

Thanks! It is a positive but such early days (pre AF) so fx and whatever happens, happens.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 17/12/2012 23:50

Hi bunny how are you? It only takes one, so am keeping fingers resolutely crossed that you hit the spot x

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 17/12/2012 23:51

quod no not at all weird, I can understand how you feel.

Bunnygirlie · 18/12/2012 08:26

Hey zombie still feeling really blue here, hubby and I can't stop sniping at each other, think we've had enough of the building work and I'm getting rid of my lurgy and he's getting it, so we squabble and then I get upset, i'm so emotional at the mo. Had a meltdown Sunday when I couldn't fit into my LBD for party on Friday, feeding my cold and not dieting whilst TTC has taken it's toll! So well and truly fed up, not feeling Christmassy and not exactly in the party mood!
Bet you wish you hadn't asked now lol.

Ahh bunny that doesn't sound like ant fun at all. Sad Being tired, ill and cranky is normal, it's just tricky to then pretend you want to rip each others clothes off isn't it. Me and my OH were exactly the same last month, just winding each other up all the time, we are in a much better place now, hope you guys feel happier soon!
happylass I'm using some asda ones, I've ordered some more online so hopefully once they come I can be more frequent with my testing, currently I am using one a day at around 5.30ish....thought that might be a bit late so I brought one to work today to see if that helps.
The 'my days' phone app says I am fertile 14 - 19 this month, I'm taking it as 14 - 23rd just to be safe and so far have only had one day without DtD...fingers crossed we hit the target this month! AF is due on new year day so it will either be a good or bad new year.....Fx!

MotherOfCleo · 18/12/2012 09:56

Oh and happylass my OV pain started on my left, then a few hours later transfered to the right and finished up being kind of central.....random huh. Mine is usually left too. And bunny I should rephrase lol, being ill isn't normal, being cranky and tired when you're ill is normal....reread it and thought 'Doh that makes no sense!'

HazleNutt · 18/12/2012 10:30

So got the letter that my blood test results were sent to doc - funny, as usually I get a copy too. Next appointment only on 28th, so of course I couldnt' wait that long and managed to get the receptionist to tell me the risk. It's 1:1413 - according to google, this is quite good for Elderberries.

Quodlibet · 18/12/2012 11:24

Hazle is that your Downs risk? That's great news.

So I realised this morning that if I relax my stomach muscles (I've always been blessed with pretty good abs which have evidently been holding things in so far) I have suddenly got a bump. My baggy high-waisted trousers which I thought would be a dead cert for maternity are TOO TIGHT. Everything bulges out underneath the waist. Agghhh. I am going to have to bite the bullet and get some new trousers I think because currently getting dressed is a daily conundrum.

janey1234 · 18/12/2012 11:49

Wow hazle if that's your downs risk that's amazing :)

I'm so old I'm automatically classed at high risk - odds at 38 are 1 in 150 Sad So that's currently keeping me awake at night. Well, that and the fact that I'm reaching the point I had a mc last time. I'm 11 weeks today and it was at 12 weeks it all went wrong last time. But trying to stay positive! Private bloods and scan on 24th as soon as we land back into the uk (flight lands 6am and heading straight to Harley street) so really really hoping all goes ok...

Bunny - you sound so down Sad. But I really think it's all part of it - we've all been there. The pressure is ridiculous anyway and with illness as well it's bound to be shitty. It WILL get better though and you WILL get there. Hugs.

HazleNutt · 18/12/2012 12:20

I think it's for all trisomies, but the receptionists was really busy and only speaks basic English, so not sure, possibly only downs yes.

quod I gave in and ordered some maternity trousers yesterday. Low ones are cutting in and high-waisted ones indeed give me a weird bulge as well.

janey we're all high risk here, at 34 my risk without the nuchal and blood is something around 1:300 or 200, depending on the source you read. So if the scan and bloods are good, yours can get quite a bit lower too.

Bunnygirlie · 18/12/2012 13:14

Thanks Mother & Janey!
I have been feeling really down and depressed this weekend but hopefully can shake it off now that my lurghy is on the mend (FX) and majority of building work is done so house is getting back to normal nearly! I think I was extra gutted as we took days off especially to make a long weekend of it and then never even managed to DTD Sad.
Can't moan to my one friend who knows we're TTC coz she had her baby on Sunday so she is really rather busy now lol.
So just need to be positive, enjoy Christmas and start again mid January!

MotherOfCleo · 18/12/2012 13:16

Hi, is it possible to post a picture on here? I think I got a positive on my OPK but wanted to check with someone.....eek. Also - sorry in advance for way too much info! - but if we DtD Friday Morning, Saturday night, Sunday night and this morning do we think my chances are pretty good? I will make sure we BD tonight too Wink geez I really really hope this is the month! I've been very healthy, taking all my vits, doing an exercise class a week, walking the dog each night, not stressing....oh and DtD lots lol. Fingers crossed that the swimmers do their job Grin

MotherOfCleo · 18/12/2012 13:24

Ah bunny I feel for you, nothing worse than feeling grotty and depressed. I take the dog for a long walk when I feel like that, she is only a young dog and she loves everything so it really helps me get perspective on life, taking her to the beach and watching her have a good old run in an out of the sea never fails to cheer me up. If that fails then a nice body combat class normally gets the aggression out Grin. Hope you are feeling happier soon! Christmas can be such a stressful time, especially with the other things you have going on. I had an ex friend announce her pregnancy at the weekend, I actually couldn't sleep as I was thinking about it. She has a son already and all she does is moan about her life now, so my jealous streak kicked in, I couldn't stop thinking about how happy that news would make us but she just seems pretty underwhelmed about it. Life really can kick you in the teeth sometimes.

janey1234 · 18/12/2012 13:46

It sounds like you've done everything you can mother - fingers crossed for you.
And you can add photos - check out hazle's pink house and Rache's cute puppy - but afraid I've got no idea how to do it...Sad

Pg ladies... As I said, getting to peak paranoia time as the 12 week date approaches. And have a question. Have really sore stomach today - a bit like I've pulled a muscle or something, but not really. Not like AF cramps or anything, but painful when I stand up awkwardly or lean over. Totally normal, right....? [hopeful]

Quodlibet · 18/12/2012 14:53

Janey I have 12 week paranoia too - DP and I keep saying to each other 'I do hope there's something in there'. I have been having strange tweaks and dull aches too, especially if I've been sitting down a long time, it feels like things are stretching and relocating. The progesterone loosens all your joints so it's much easier to accidentally strain something too. So my diagnosis is Totally Normal.

Mother that sounds like good odds to me.

Rache1S · 18/12/2012 16:40

Mother as long as you've OV'd I'd say your chances are great, although I think we've all worked out long long ago that TTC is a bit of a lottery!

Hazle which maternity trousers have you ordered? I have been looking around online and they all seem to be aimed towards the later massive bump stages rather than this normal trousers too tight eaten all the pies stage.
Also, do you know what your NT measurement was? I haven't had my results back yet but the Sonographer told me mine was 1mm, which is apparently within the range which is seen as normal. Obviously I need to wait for results combined with bloods though. I really hope my odds are as high as yours Xmas Grin

Janey I feel like I have had every possible symptom going! I think with the exception of severe cramps and bleeding we should view everything as being normal and just try to relax which I know is impossible Xmas Grin

Quodlibet · 18/12/2012 17:00

Oooh yes share the maternity pie eater trouser tips people! I am currently down to 3 pairs...
