AF just turned up Sad Oh well, back to square one and the bottom of the list lol! Best of British to everyone else though, I've got everything crossed for you all. There must be some BFP's for at least a couple of us! Grin

Well it seems that I have ov'd a week early here.
Therefore AF is due on the 1st October.
Would someone mind adding me on the list as I'm on my phone.

On the subject of being an elderberry pavlova, a friend of mine left school, went to college, then teacher training college, got married and had her first baby at 25 and had elderly first time mother put on her notes. She took great exception and pointed out that she couldn't have done it any quicker if she tried.

Thanks for the lovely welcome! waves back at everybody

All but one of my friends are elderberry pavlovas so thankfully I don't feel too decrepit. Although I am feeling a bit late to the game! Very glad to have found you all :)

Haha loving the old ladies chat!
Well I married the wrong man (as you do) and spent 8 years with him. The thought of kids freaked me out.
I'm now 38, have been with the (right) husband for 5. Have a job that pays close to 50k, a lovely house and healthy savings for the future. I would not have done it differently.
Had a mc in July and was almost made to feel I deserved it as I'm so old!
This Fred is bringing a smile to my face Smile

Morning Elderberrys (that's a good title for the next thread when this is full!)

I always wonder what exactly they think I should have done. Have children when I didn't want them, couldn't afford them and with men who didn't want to be parents? Yes sure, that sounds like a smart idea.

Ah sorry rache1 you should be on cycle 2 now I guess?

Very true Zombie - I would certianly be a single mother if I had my kids 10 years ago, considering the men I was dating then. And could read all about how single parent families are so, so bad for children.

Woman's place is in the wrong..

Ah quod that's brilliant - although surely an Elderberry Primigravida is some kind of delicious cocktail, a bit like a cucumber martini or something?

Oh lol sorry they made you feel like that - my hospital were amazing when I had mine last year and went to great lengths to stress that having one meant I was no more likely to have another, and didn't mention my age even once.

Rache - sorry to hear that, but fingers crossed for next month for you. I've guessed your AF due date based on a 28 day cycle - correct me if I'm wrong!

Glad to see we're all agreed on this then: we are SELFISH for not having children earlier, and need to understand this is ENTIRELY our fault.

So is this where we are then - slight amend for you Rache.

Don't worry about the crying.
I cry every time she shows up. I am inconsolable for the rest of the day.

My random early ov and high temps are giving me some hope this month.

Sorry to hear that cwtching. Don't be hard on yourself for crying - I think the frustration and disappointment is entirely understandable! I managed to ruin a whole romantic day out with my DP last time AF turned up - just could not shake the bad mood. It's shit innit? I am already worrying about strategies to avoid getting in a weepy mess/royal grump in the middle of my holiday.

Can I interest you in a nice Elderberry Primigravida to cheer you up? I'm not sure if it's a trifle or a cocktail but it's got loads of alcohol in it.

I am on 8dpo over here and suddenly realised this morning I still have the best part of a week to go. Blaaaaaardy hell time drags.

Sorry about your AF Cwtching Sad At least we are starting afresh together Smile A new cycle is a new chance (I know this is easy for me to say after only 1 attempt - I would imagine the PMA wears a bit thin after several). On the Snakes & Ladders board of TTC we have slid down a snake but at least we can indulge in a nice Elderberry Primigravida on the rocks this weekend Smile

Yes thanks janey1234, next AF should be 19th October.

Sorry to everyone who's having a tough time with AF arriving
Mine actually turned up today but was delighted to see it as first one since coming off the pill 6 weeks ago. Been feeling a bit in limbo recently and know I probably have a long way to go but now that have had some bleeding at
least feel that something is happening rather than a whole load of nothingness! Am optimistically going to edit my entry on the list based on my pre-pill cycle of 28 days. Have a great weekend all x

Bunny welcome back to the party... Pavlova? My rule is you can TOTALLY drink on 2ww as 1) embryo hasn't technically implanted in this time and 2) otherwise I would go stark staring mad.

Pipbin sorry to hear about spotting, it's a pain - but doesn't mean that this cycle is over. Have a couple of spotter mates who spotted right up to a Bfp.

Bunnygirlie · 22/09/2012 09:37

Thanks Quod, I don't think I could get away with not having a few drinks as we're going with friends!
Just had a thought, if we aren't lucky enough to get a September/early oct BFP it's gonna be a right pain coz we won't get scans till after christmas which means no drinks over Christmas, how do you hide that from family and friends!?!?!

Well something is certainly messed up in my cycle after last month, my fertility monitor is acting funny. Not sure I can trust it to show the ov accurately, so guess we'll just have to DTD til AF shows up, just in case.

I've found hiding not drinking quite easy, no need to tell people loudly that you don't want any. Most people won't really notice that your glass is full - just lift and twirl it every now and then. Alcohol free mulled wine is also a good option for Christmas, others can of course get the normal version.
