Thought I would start a September thread as I loved being on the August one so much. Just a pity August wasn't my month!

Anyhoo onwards and upwards. Hoping this will be a lucky month for me and everyone else hoping for BFPs

I'm on cd7 at the mo and just started using the clearblue opk to feed my poas addiction til ov :) I think I'll be ov around the 23rd and hoping for my BFP on 6 september as a fabulous birthday present.

weechops - cycle 3 - BFP due 6 sep

Hi mightbemad & brodicea
Sorry to see you back qazxc- I hope this cycle isn't too wtf and you catch again straight away.
Thanks for all the sympathy, arm is much better although steroids have screwed my sleep pattern hence the early posting! I did get advice and brodicea you are right- inhaled steroids for asthma should be continued as normal when TTC and short courses oral steroids shouldn't cause any harm. I'm more concerned about how bunged up I am after all the codeine now, get the prune juice out Blush.
33 I know it is different but I had the most horrendous progesterone come down when I had my mirena out- I turned into a PMT monster for about 3 weeks, poor DH!
littlemisssnowshine we are in a similar position- although a few years down the line. Rented out our city centre flat and bought a big place in the 'burbs of the next city along (where we both work). The initial outlay seems never ending but if you get the right tenants in it will be fine. Ours have been in for 3 years and are good as gold- we manage it ourselves (DH is a DIY fanatic) and we found them on gum tree of all places!

Big hug weechops that does sound a bit shite, are you very regular or is there hope your cycle may alter a bit and get some overlap with fertile time/visits? A month is a long time to wait let alone 6 for your next chance

5days post ov here so definitely in the 2ww (thank god, I'll be quite happy with cuddling for a good while)

frustratedpants · 22/08/2012 07:44

Booking myself in for September, although I may have to change my dates when AF gets here pretty certain I'm out for August. I'm cramping, in the wrong way and a short wtf cycle predicted to end August in style. Well I have a shot for September then taking 2 months off TTC until December.

Lol at when Grin
I thought the same although was more I wonder how long sperm would last in the fridgeHmm
Wee that does make life difficult, I hope it happens this month for you and it won't be an issue

weechops · 22/08/2012 11:13

Pmsl - when that was one of my first thoughts too. Sterilise the ice cube tray and get him to fill it Grin Possibly more sensible thought is asking him to take time off work round about ov before christmas sometime?

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 22/08/2012 12:27

Oh god now I have an image of popping a spunk ice cube up where no ice cube should go.

Probably best to get time off. Can you imagine if you managed the ice cube thing, everyone would work out your dates and realise your dh wasn't there to impregnate you. Then you would have to explain yourselves.

Try the time off thing.

takingthestairs · 22/08/2012 12:58

Hello

Can I join your thread please. I'm a total newbie at this but I make a great cup of tea Brew. I'll be finishing Cilest next Friday and so will hopefully be ovulating around 13th Sept but as it's my first cycle off the pill I'm not 100% sure yet.
When would my BFP due date be? Would it be the day my next period would have be due?

Lolcbcb · 22/08/2012 13:47

Hello
Had af today so out for aug. can I join you lovely ladies?
It's my second cycle after mc. Think bfp is due 22sep.
Hope this thread brings us more luck!

LittleMissSnowShine · 22/08/2012 16:06

Hi takingthestairs and lolcbcb!

Dexi - We got our tenants on gumtree too! In fairness, I don't think they are that bad, it's just loads of wee things have needed to be done round the house and the initial outlay is crippling us a bit. But we do love our new (rented) place and I'm hoping bank will let us go down to interest only payments for a while until we're a bit less financially precarious lol Wish I was better at gumtree, but we can do bits and pieces like painting, putting up shelves, all that kind of stuff. Aghhh we'll get there in the end! Glad you guys are well settled and a positive story for me to tell DH later on ;-)

weechops - that does sound a bit rubbish, hope you guys are able to book in some annual leave time around OV if needs be..

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 23/08/2012 09:08

Hi taking and lol, sorry af got you lol. I used to be on Cilest many many years ago. Can't remember how long it took for my cycle to get back to normal but I don't think it was too long. Fx for you.

weechops Great timing on the smiley face. Have fun dtd.

BeauticianNotMagician · 23/08/2012 09:10

Hi all can i join. I have just come off the contraceptive pill. We didn't really plan on trying to conceive i just had to come off the pill as it doesn't agree with me at all. Like i say we haven't planned to try and conceive but we arent preventing it either. Its now made me realise how much i would like another baby to complete our family. This will be dc3 for me.

So i am secretly hoping September will be the month although i doubt it. I came off of Yasmin end of July had my breakthrough bleed 3rd August. My cycles were always 32 days before so im expecting my next period Sept 4th. We have only been able to dtd on August 17th and 19th as Dp works away alot.

Im going to read through to get to know everyone.

BeauticianNotMagician · 23/08/2012 09:23

Sorry my post was very all about me.

Good luck to everyone on here. Sorry to those that have had recent mc Sad
I see that quite a few are testing on the same day or on birthdays.I hope you get the presents you want and deserve.

I would just like to add i have no idea about ovulation. I conceived ds1 within 5months and ds2 within one month. So i was very lucky. Ds2 is now 6.

Chimpette · 23/08/2012 10:59

Beautician - love the name!

PuppyMummy · 23/08/2012 13:44

hi everyone . marking my place for Sept. af was due tomoro but randomly turned up on Monday making it a stupid 22 day cycle.

however that now means that next af is due 15th Sept - my birthday!

BeauticianNotMagician · 23/08/2012 13:54

Hi Chimpette thank you. I have a poster up in my salon saying the same haha.

PuppyMummy Hope you get a nice strong line for your birthday.

Dexidoo · 23/08/2012 14:02

Welcome beautician & puppy

All this talk of frozen semen cubes is enough to put me off the G&T ! Well maybe Grin

I've had a blood test today- needed a check doing and I've sneakily got the nurse to add a progesterone as I should be a week post ovulation. Keeping fingers crossed- when I had bloods during mc this showed a low progesterone but I wasn't really clear if this could have caused the mc or if was just a sign of pregnancy failing.

Also have had some mild cramping last couple of hours, I'm trying to not get carried away but hoping this could be the right time for implantation. Let's hope we are not too far away from our run of Sept BFP's!

frustratedpants · 23/08/2012 15:23

hi ladies.

oh dexi how cheaky, Grin wish I'd have thought of that when I had some bloods done.

BeauticianNotMagician · 23/08/2012 15:36

Hi frustrated when is AF due. Have you not had any symptoms. Don't give up just yet.

Im trying to keep myself busy all i can think about at the moment is babies and i find myself talking about them all the time as well.Hopefully we will do something over the bank holiday to keep my mind off it.

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/08/2012 16:08

Hi beautician and puppy!

Dexi - Ooh, that was a good reminder for me! My GP told me to come in and get bloods done on day 2/3 of AF (i think!) but then AF never showed because I was pg. Then, alas, I had mmc so maybe when AF shows this month I'll go and get them done. Anyway, yes, fx that this is well timed cramping for you - first of the September BFPs hopefully!!

I've not really been symptoms spotting this month, things still all a bit funny post-erpc. Thought I saw EWCM maybe, so dtd around then. I usually seem to OV around CD19ish, and i'm on CD23 today so prob a bit early to be considering possible implantation. Off to a wedding tomorrow too, but I'm going to just have a few drinks anyway because I don't even know if I OV'd this cycle so not much point in being abstemious. Better go stick some fake tan on - god knows we have not had the weather this summer to have got a real one!!

frustratedpants · 23/08/2012 16:36

Hi beaut I've have plenty of fake symptoms and almost as many BFNs spot the POAS addict and my eyes hurt from squnting. AF due Saturday or Sunday, the witch is on her way. I've been getting the same made up symptoms the past 3 cycles so clearly symptoms of AF and not pg. Grin bfn ruled out random new one
September is the new August. Let's all get some BFPs.

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/08/2012 16:39

September is the new August heh!

Yep, what a pain - early pg symptoms and AF symptoms are basically exactly the same Confused

frustratedpants · 23/08/2012 16:50

Oh definately snowshine same as August was the new July Grin

I really should learn but like symptom spotting too much

worriedmum100 · 23/08/2012 17:35

Hi all

Welcome all the new ladies!

V sorry to those who have suffered mc. :(

Sorry i've dropped off the radar a bit - mad busy at work and we've had builders in etc. Anyway, Cd13 here and the bonkfest has begun. Going for eod but agree with what others have said - I adore dp but fear I may too old for eod shagging. Not using opk sticks but cm seems to be getting to ew stage but thought i didn't usually ov til around cd20ish so who knows!

What do we think the etiquette is re dtd at the inlaws? Visiting them this weekend...

BeauticianNotMagician · 23/08/2012 18:08

Frustrated dont give up just yet.

I have no idea when is best to test so ill wait until when i expect to get AF well hopefully i can wait. I don't think i would even know what my usual pre AF symptoms would be as the pill masks them for me. So thats not going to help me much either.

How does one know when they are ovulating.I have no idea. I've looked at some ovulation calendars and most say that my highest ovulation day was yesterday and seen as i dtd 3 and 5 days before this would that make me out of the running already.

Worried we are going away next month to stay with the inlaws and seen as i only see DP at the weekends i don't want to abstain for 3 days. Hmm but neither do i want to be caught out by MIL i would never live it down.

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/08/2012 18:12

beautician - you can buy ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) and you wee on them around your predicted OV time and you get a smily face when the hormone surge is in place to tell you OV is iminent. Or you can track your temp every morning. Or you can examine your cervical secretions. I know, I know, it's all so much fun!

frustrated - Amen to that!!

worried - hmm, as to dtd at the in-laws i guess it depends how private their guestroom is. if they are on the other side of a very thin wall then you might be just too cringe to dtd even v quietly. if there's a good bit of distance between guestroom and anyone else living in the house then go like the clappers dtd v quietly Grin
