Thought I would start a September thread as I loved being on the August one so much. Just a pity August wasn't my month!

Anyhoo onwards and upwards. Hoping this will be a lucky month for me and everyone else hoping for BFPs

I'm on cd7 at the mo and just started using the clearblue opk to feed my poas addiction til ov :) I think I'll be ov around the 23rd and hoping for my BFP on 6 september as a fabulous birthday present.

weechops - cycle 3 - BFP due 6 sep

Am a shameless lurker. Never seem to be able to keep up with everyone, and don't just want to post about myself.

yikes hey Hun, how are you doing? This last period was a real low emotional point for me. Have started counselling -for the mc and other crapness from this year. Maybe that will improve my chances! I think I almost feel more raw about the miscarriage now than at at the time.

Think my next period will be due around the 12th ish! Going to ignore all the websites telling me when the fertile period and the CM ( last month it was all over the place) (ugh what a gross picture) And just bonk from period end to period start. Can't imagine we will manage eod the whole time. Not teenagers any more!

Dexidoo · 20/08/2012 20:00

kiwi I hope you find counselling helpful. I've considered it- not sure whether I've dealt with the mc or just buried it. DH and I don't discuss it and when I do with friends it's no easier than the day it happened. The thought of dredging up feelings is scary though so what you're doing is brave.

On the other subject we DTD EOD for 2 weeks this cycle and I'm greatful the bonkathon is over, I'm told old for so much shagging!!

LittleMissSnowShine · 20/08/2012 21:39

Hi ladies!

Tentatively joining this thread - I had a mmc and ended up needing an erpc 3 weeks ago, which was a bit devestating at 10 weeks pg :(

But we've decided to just keep trying - I'm not tracking temps and I have pcos so.opks arent much good for me so just trying to dtd whenever poss (difficult between work, toddler, family, friends, life etc!) And taking my folic acid again too. Bit apprehensive about trying again after how things worked out but fx things will work out this time and always good to have a few ttc buddies waves at everyone!

Think i might even know a few faces from may/june ttc threads...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 20/08/2012 21:47

Hi littlemiss I am sure I remember you from the June thread. Really sorry you are back here again.

kiwi and dexidoo well done on the bonkathon (and planned bonkathon). There is no way dh or me could manage eod. Thankfully opks seem to work for us. We can get pregnant it just ends in chem preg really quickly.

Nothing did it. It but to keep trying.

MightBeMad · 20/08/2012 21:54

Hello ladies, can I join you? TTC #2 but my first cycle post dc1 was really weird last month and no August bfp for me. Maybe thing will settled down this month,eh?!

MightBeMad - cycle 2 - BFP due 19 Sept (ish)

LittleMissSnowShine · 20/08/2012 23:01

WhenSheWasBad - Yes, i remember you too! Sorry your bfp hasnt come through yet, hope September will be a good month for us tho

weechops · 21/08/2012 09:09

Hi to littlemiss and mightbemad

Still waiting for my smiley face, ho hum

Brodicea · 21/08/2012 10:46

Hello all! I am TTC from around 6th September, due for a hopeful BFP on 26th! First round so just a rookie :o)
xx

33andTTC · 21/08/2012 13:29

Welcome Brodicea.

Well dexidoo my 2nd suspected AF of Aug looks like a proper one, not spotting, I think. It's nothing like the first as no pre-menstral boob ache or pains down there now. Weird. It's also very bright red and quite watery (sorry if TMI at lunchtime!). I've not had a non-pill AF for 12 years though so I don't remember what they are like!!?? Do I count it as AF or not?

resipsa · 21/08/2012 13:49

When Nic - all of us on the 15th, really? It must be a sign. And you know it's my birthday that day...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/08/2012 13:52

It must be a sign. Can you imagine if we all got a BFP on your birthday.

It is odd when the best present you could possibly have is a urine soaked stick with two lines on it. Are you going to test on the day or before? Hope you have something fun planned for the big day.

resipsa · 21/08/2012 13:56

I am imagining it as I type. Can we all move to Hollywood until October (then it'd be bound to come true)?

Birthday is in DH's hands so will be good. Sad but true - wee soaked plastic stick with two blue lines would be the best present! How depressing (but in a good way IYKWIM).

Dexidoo · 21/08/2012 13:56

It sounds like you could be in for some post-pill eraticness 33 hope it settles soon, at least it is better than post pill amenorrhea- when I came of cerazette years ago had no period for 4 months- was frantic that I could have been pg (not the right time or partner).

I'm hoping for the best this cycle but I've had to go on steroids, antibiotics and antihistamines due to horsefly bites so a bit worried this could theoretically interfere with implantation. I have avoided antiinflammatories and stuck with co-codamol but not having a fun time Sad

resipsa · 21/08/2012 13:58

Bloody hell Dexi remind me to steer well clear of horseflies!

happylass · 21/08/2012 15:29

Hi 33 sorry to hear that things still havent settled down for you Sad fingers crossed they will sort themselves out soon. Think the post Cerazette symptoms have begun in earnest for me - been in bed all day with a blinding headache, nausea and generally just feeling rubbish. Anyone else experienced this? Or then again maybe I'm just coming down with a bug. Who knows Confused!!

33andTTC · 21/08/2012 16:54

hi happy am sure it will sort itself out soon enough. Just being impatient!
Sorry to hear you are feeling crap. Sounds like a you are coming down with something or could well be The Cerazette come down. Have you tried googling to see if anyone else had those symptoms? Hope you feeling better soon.

Dexi if I have a steriod inhaler for Asthma, should I see my doctor as I'm TTC? P.S. so many people seem to be getting bad bites this year. I had one on my upper arm and i couldn't brush my teeth with that arm it hurt so bad.

Brodicea · 21/08/2012 17:39

I don't know if this helps Dexi but I have a steroid inhaler for asthma and was told by the nurse at my surgery that it shouldn't impact anything.... she also said once preggers you might have restricted lung capacity so you should make sure you keep taking it... someone else may have heard different but I hope nor.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/08/2012 18:21

Bad luck with the horse fly bites dexi sounds painful.

33 sorry it's taking a while, patience is not a virtue if mine so I sympathise. brodicea seems to have some good advice re asthma.

Af has just about stopped so I am just about ready to think about swi again, probably won't ov for another 10 days at least so won't start just yet (don't want to peak too soon).

NicolaHazel · 21/08/2012 19:17

Well, hopefully 15th is lucky for the 3 of us then! Particularly the birthday girl :-)

Hi to new people.

Sorry people are feeling crap / having weird cycles.

A girl at work's dad was hospitalised with a bite a couple of months ago. No idea what bit him, but his arm swelled to 3 times its normal size and he had a couple of fits. Nasty.

qazxc · 21/08/2012 19:39

Hi guys, can I join too?
Had a BFP in August but had an early miscarriage so am TTC straight away. and hoping that i get a BFP that sticks this time as it is my second miscarriage in six months (had one @ 12 weeks at the end of march).
BFP due on 26th of sept (hopefully, I'm not quite sure how this cycle is going to pan out).
I have ordered ovulation testing strips off the internet, am weirdly looking forward to them arriving so that i can be "doing something".
Am going to concentrate on eating healthy and exercising, hoping that me being healthier and losing weight will help things.

YikesHereWeGo · 21/08/2012 20:57

Hiya everyone! Hope you're all OK (aside from the horsefly incident!)?
Sorry to hear some of you are back on the TTC threads after recent BFPs. That's rubbish Sad And I'm particularly sorry for you qazxc having had two mc's so close together. I think you're right to concentrate on being healthy etc, I think I'm doing the opposite, getting drunk all the time to drown sorrows etc and eating unhealthily to cheer myself up, but I think it's just making me more miserable.
Dexi & Kiwi - thanks for thinking of me! Totally know what you mean kiwi about low points. Yesterday morning I was just sitting on the floor in my bedroom totally unable to move (when I was supposed to be going to work) as I was so down about everything. I ended up forcing myself to get a grip after about an hour and did the usual power dressing thing with bright lipstick and high heels but it's all just a mask. This cycle I've been bleeding for 10 days solid so far and it's still sooo heavy I have to wear a tampon and a heavy-duty pad at the same time. And I'm on my 4th cycle post mc. It's got to the point where I just don't think I'm going to be able to have children, which is totally gutting. We're going to keep on trying but it's just so hard having a mc at age 37 when literally everyone we know either has children already or have recently announced pregnancies.
Sorry about the moan; I'm thinking I might need some counselling to snap out of feeling like this; I should look into it...
Good luck for all the up-coming birthday girls for your BFPs, by the way. Now that sounds like the 'happy ending' that mumsnet threads really ought to have Smile

LittleMissSnowShine · 21/08/2012 20:59

Hi qazxc, mightbemad and brodicea

dexi - ouch, hope the horsefly bites clear up soon, sounds awful :(

33 - When I first came off the pill back in 2005ish my AF was all over the place and I had teenager skin and everything :-/ Hope things settle for you soon!

I'm having a bit of a pain - we moved house into a new build rented place in the burbs. It's a bad time to be selling anywhere (obviously) so we've rented our more central 2.5 bed terrace out. Now we're having a combination of old house inevitable problems, bad luck and very picky tenants and at the minute it is costing us a pure FORTUNE to get everything fixed. We have no savings because being mortgaged to the hilt for the last 4 years, plus maintenance, rates and insurance will do that to you! And I only work part time so we are really struggling with the flipping bills this month - don't have enough to pay the childminder, buy groceries, pay the electric this month so going to have to borrow some off my mum which I've never had to do since I left home. Never rains but it pours! Wish we could just torch the stupid place and not have to think about it, ttc is enough of a mind melt along with work, DS and general life without having the unfailingly polite but very demanding tenants' needs to worry about as well. Facepalm!!! Rant over...back to making babies...

weechops · 21/08/2012 22:01

Maybe it's the night for it, but I'm feeling a bit down tonight too, and really want to have a mini rant to get it off my chest if that's ok.

My dh works offshore, as some of you know, and it only really occured to me today that if I don't get a BFP in september, then I might not be getting one til March (ish) next year!!!

I worked out that from now til early next year (provided his rota doesnt change) dh will be offshore when I'm most likely ovulating each month! How pants is that :(

With dd and ds he worked near home so was home each night. Can't believe I never realised til today how much more difficult it might be this time.

It's not like I can just call him and say 'come home for a bonk dear, I have a smiley on the opk' when he's in the middle of the bloody north sea.

Really trying not to get upset. Dh is lovely but he just doesn't get it how hard it would be to wait so long, and know that even though we're dtd, there's no point as it's the wrong time. And i only just realised, I am so thick sometimes!

I don't want to be all 'woe is me' as some of you girls have been trying for so long to get your bfp and I'm just being a moaning minny. Argh I'm annoying myself now! Time to stop.

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/08/2012 22:45

weechops that sucks. If I was me I would be googling if it is possible to freeze sperm at home. (I clearly shouldn't have had that second glass of wine).

qazxc · 21/08/2012 22:45

Yikes I did bury my head in ben and jerry's and takeaways for a while. time to turn the tide. I'm lucky in the fact that i don't drink and gave up smoking last year so i don't have to face quitting now.
weechops Don't feel disheartened by march you could be over six months gone. By the way you are not being a moaning minny.
