trace2 · 04/03/2006 09:11

take it easy spod, if your worried go to a&e

spod · 04/03/2006 09:14

thatnks trace. theres no point going to a&e, they wont be able to do anything, cant do a scan or anything this early. I'll sit tight and see what happens, not happy though

trace2 · 04/03/2006 09:17

i know, but the bloods done tests hcg , but if its only a little, rest

NatalieJane · 04/03/2006 09:19

Oh Spod I hope everything is OK, sending loads of luck and big {{{hugs}}}, and of course keeping everything crossed for you.

I hope everyone else is well?

Congratulations to Velcrobott! Really pleased for you :)

spod · 04/03/2006 09:21

it can be loads of 'normal' things though can't it? i didnt feel sick yesterday which worried me, I've felt sick since last sat... trying not to worry but i hate this!

NatalieJane · 04/03/2006 09:28

I had the smallest ammount of bleeding with DS, and he is fine, but from reading on here there are loads of people who do bleed especially around the time their period would have been due and they go on to have a very healthy PG and baby. I am sure you will be fine :) Stay positive, try not to worry too much, the extra stress won't help, have a nice long soak in the bath, or do some shopping or whatever try to take your mind off it for a bit, most of all just look after yourself, no lifting or straining, take it easy. I will be thinking of you {{{hugs}}} again.

spod · 04/03/2006 09:49

thanks, my period was due last wednes, so it could be that ii guess, or some other normal changes going on. I also have thrush, which is really irritating me!

NatalieJane · 04/03/2006 09:55

It just sounds like it is all part of being PG to me! I don't know if you can take that caniston (sp?) while PG, but if not I have heard live yoghurt will help the thrush, I think you should just sit and relax and use it as a perfect excuse to get your other half running around after you for a bit!! Wink

spod · 04/03/2006 09:58

I can use the pessary form, but dont want to just yet cos of the bleeding....dh is very good to me, so no worries there

NatalieJane · 04/03/2006 10:01

If you ring the NHS Direct number they will be able to tell you if you can use it whilst bleeding.

I hope it all works for you, :)

Debbsy · 04/03/2006 10:17

spod sorry to interrupt but im a qualified pharmacy technician and it would be advisable not to use the pessary as it contains an ingredient called clotrimazole which without the advice of a dr cant be used in pg.

spod · 04/03/2006 10:18

thanks, i wouldnt use it before talking to doc anyway... i'm an over cautious pregnant bod! thanks

jabberwocky · 04/03/2006 12:28

I had implantation bleeding with ds at around the same time as I believe you are, spod. I also had a couple of scary episodes of very faint bleeding that was bright red. Each time, I just tried to stay calm and went to lie down and it stopped.

HTH

spod · 04/03/2006 12:31

thanks that does help, i thought that implatation bleeds happened earlier, but i called the epu and they said it could be that too. i hope so.

spod · 04/03/2006 12:51

wannaBe1974 · 04/03/2006 14:21

hi all hope you'ore all ok.

Spod sorry to read about bleeding - hope all is ok. Re your thrush, you shouldn't use any medication for it but a good treatment for thrush is live yoghurt Give that a try :)

Debbsy · 04/03/2006 15:49

sorry spod no you cat use canestan its the same ingredient.

spod · 04/03/2006 17:45

oh bum, have been using the cream for a couple of days. could it have caused an irritation that could explain the bleeding?... which is now barely noticable so I'm being brave and not worrying for now.

velcrobott · 04/03/2006 19:03

Thanks everyone... what's happen to Spod's message Sad

spinach · 04/03/2006 19:22

velcobott, I've changed my name and needed mn to delete my posts as someone in rl is trying to identify me.

trace2 · 04/03/2006 19:55

oh god are you ok,? i was just thinking same,

spinach · 04/03/2006 19:59

yes, I'm fine, nothing to worry about, just dont want to be identified! bleeding has virtually stopped last time i checked, so hopefully all is well. hows everyone?
