Sounds great, but I'm in London. Bit of a long-haul...

peachygirl · 15/04/2006 16:35

Hi all I'm back! [smle]
I have been away at conference in Winchester- very good. but too many late nights and a little too much alcohol, Congrats to those with BFPs and clomid and sorrys for any BFNs /AFs!
I'm in the two week wait but am almost sure it's not my month
While I was at the Conf I was chatting to a another person a bloke and we were trying to get him to join the exec (I being the youngest person was doing my best) and we were doing a funny quickfire thing - where do you work, how old? what does Ddp do? etc and I asked him if he had kids he said oh no we can't and its all down to me, they and had three failed IVFs. On behalf of us all I gave him a big hug and we proceeded to have an enourmous chat (at 2 in the morning) about fertility!! quite bizarre
Anyway I came home and have been really ill with a bad cold type flueything (possibly linked to too much work for the work and the conf) and so am at home not my parents.
I might be up for the meadowhall meet up I can get there from my parents or old friends in sheffield (my old stomping ground)
Happy Easter all

wannaBe1974 · 15/04/2006 20:26

hiya all :)

peachy we were wondering where you were, no rest for the wicked ey, :D.

Well I'm on CD26, no sore boobs or anything so absolutely no indication that AF is on its way. However I've been really tired, somewhat miserable today, and snappy, have metalic type taste in my mouth, and little spots around my nipples. I'm refusing to think anything, the tiredness could be down to my diet and exercise, the rest .. well I don't have explanations for the rest, but I'm still not being too hopeful.

laughalot · 16/04/2006 12:14

Fingers crossed for you wannabe xxx

lucy5 · 16/04/2006 12:37

peachygirl · 16/04/2006 19:53

wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 21:03

hiya anyone about?

CD27, no sore boobs yet so no sign of AF approaching, but feel totally crap. Very emotional/miserable/snappy, keep feeling dizzy and nausious, and a couple of times today have come over hot. Am going to test in the morning, just to get the bfn out of the way really, as AF going to be late again, and as no sore boobs yet, and these normally materialise about a week before AF, it's going to be majorly late, I'm now pretty sure that I have some serious hormone imbalance, and that that is why I'm feeling so shite right now. Just waiting for my blood tests to come back really to confirm it, have as good as convinced myself that I'm in early menopause or something because of my ever lenthening cycles.

peachygirl · 16/04/2006 21:08

Wannabe I'm still here,
I'm really sorry to hear you are feeling so terrible. How many days late are you?

OP posts:
wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 21:15

well I'd be on cd28 tomorrow, so on a normal cycle I would only be due on tomorrow, but last month's cycle was 35 days, month before that was 30, month before that was 32...

peachygirl · 16/04/2006 21:20

hmm, cycles can vary, mine has been 24 days and the last was 28.
Do you really think it could be an early memnopause does anyone else in you family have this? you are really young for that. I know it happens but it is very rare, I think, unless its a family thing. It could be a hormone things whcih hopefully the Gp will pick up.

wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 21:24

not really sure tbh, the one thing it could be is a thyroid problem. I had an overactive thyroid 12 years ago, so it's possible this could have recurred, but I have had blood tests about evry 18 months and it hasn't recurred thus far, plus one sign of overactive thyroid is sudden and rapid weight loss, and I certainly haven't fallen into that category recently, ha ha ha ha

peachygirl · 16/04/2006 21:29

ahh yes I remeber you saying about this before 18 months is a long time between tests, maybe you are right. Am I right in thinking Dh will be at home to read your test tomorrow, which will save you a days wait.

OP posts:
wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 21:33

yeh he'll be home tomorrow, bless, he's used to reading negative tests now, :)

peachygirl · 16/04/2006 21:39

Well I hope its not one of those, but.. if it is don't give up. You are still young, says peachy being only a few months older!
Even though Dh and I had out big discussion earlir this month, I have decided its all go from now on I have now have a frind who's one attempt at IVF has failed, another who is seeing a gynae and meeting this guy at the conference has made me even more determined to give it my all from now on, Dh will just have to get on with it!

wannabe so sorry you feel like you do,beleive me i have been there many many times, but it happened for us in the end. Please try and stay positive,i really think if you dont stress about it, it will happen it worked for me, also reflexology can correct many imbalances how ever minor and can pinpoint things. I had 3 visits and it happened it also relaxed me a great dealthe very best of luck to you.((((hugs))))

wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 21:42

well I'm sure your DH will happily rise to the occasion .. ooops excuse pun there lol, seriously though, I think sometimes that it takes looking at someone else's life to realize that time doesn't always wait. I know of so many people who are or who have strugged to conceive, years ago I think it was something that just wasn't talked about, but now it's a lot more common, and I think that if you want a baby you should go for it, because one never knows if it will even be possible, or whether there could be issues.

peachygirl · 16/04/2006 21:48

You re absolutely right.

Hi debbsy Your advice is also right now wannabe go and have a lovely cup of tea (decaf of course) and relax before bed!
I have to go now but I will have work to do for school tomorrow so will be around if you fancy a chat.
night night

wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 21:54

ok peach ((hugs)) sleep well and don't work too hard tomorrow :).

Hiya debsy didn't see you there :). every month I tell myself I'm not going to do the stress thing, I promise, and most months I manage up till about cd28, and then Af doesn't arrive, and then I start thinking, and wondering, and testing .. you get the picture lol.

Debbsy · 16/04/2006 22:04

i do i know how you feel exactly i used to cry myself to sleep i wanted a baby that much, but i decided to have a break as it was making me ill and tbh it worked for me not thinking bout timing not drinking temping checking cm etc etc it made me feel a lot stronger after my break, then iwe decided to try again half hearted really as i had been working away in s wales and was knackered i really feel it was the reflexology and the break that helped. And it will happen for you too look at us 2 long years,If you need anyone to talk to i want you to know that im here and truly understand how you feel.If i can help you in anyway i will ((((hugs)))) dont worry bout your age either im 34 in July :)

wannaBe1974 · 16/04/2006 22:20

thank you debsy ((hugs)) I am very fortunate really in that I do have a DS, it took me 13 months to conceive him as well though so I've been here before. Ironically this month we certainly weren't actively trying, I've never gone for charting etc, but have looked out for CM and tried to bd on right days, it's not so much the fact that i'm not pg this month that bothers me, was happy not to have a christmas baby, it's the fact that my hormones appear to be all ovr the place and tbh I'm sick of my body, lol.

peachygirl · 17/04/2006 10:06
