April BFP thread

CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

I've broken the resolve this morning and tested! Bfn of course.

Persuaded myself on the basis that I've been sick for 3 days and worried about the amount of medicines I've been taking poor excuse!

Morning Ladies,

Im glad everyone has had a boozy weekend, I was on an all day and night bender on Saturday, felt like death on Sunday so i reckon il be teetotal for a day week or so.

Very confused with my lady bits. Id got a dark(ish) line on on Ov stick about day 8, quite early really but I thought it'l be with the clomid. Yesterday, day 20, I got VERY EWCM and very clear dark line on OV stick. Temp dropped like a stone but hasnt risen yet. But feel like im getting a really shitty cold. Ive got a pain in side (not dp) left ovary i think.

So dont know is have ov'd twice? So when can I test? Do I go from day 28 or wait another 2 weeks? what if temp doesnt increase, does that mean I havent ov'd at all, despite the symptoms?

Thats a lot of questions for so early in the week!!!!

Zonat you've got some serious hormones going on there lady! Also my line on my BFP last time was REALLY faint. So theres defo hope.

cookies I have pcos and a DD, one MMC in dec (can happen to any1)Gynae's told me cysts do NOT affect fertility they just arse up your ovulation a bit!

RIBS I believe it is possible to ovulate twice (hence fraternal twins ). I don't know about the rest of your Qs - when is AF due?

My cystitis seems a bit better today, I don't feel the need to pee quite so frequently. I managed to get some anti-bs yesterday, so hopefully they've kicked in. :) No symptoms to report yet. Maybe slight constipation, but I tend to get that after ovulation most months anyway. I think I've got about a week until testing/AF.

Walnut- i plan too test again friday also, So will be looking out for your BFP ;)

And yes RIBS, i have some nasty hormones going on! could be due to AF in 7days, had cramping around right ovary also! even though i ovulated around 16th :/.

Ive ordered some clearblue of amazon, as ino its hard too resist the 20 tests for a few pound, ino when i was preg with my son, i took 1 of those on day AF was due, and again a line only i could see, then i bought a clear blue and got a strong BFP. Not sure i trust these cheapy's. never had a good strong BFP at any point in pregnancies of them! what does anyone else think of them?
on the other hand though, i found the cheepy ovulations worked fine for me! :)

Mildred - I gave in and tested as well! Obviously BFN (and after all my resolve!!) I did a first response last night and even desperately took it apart and a clearblue digital this morning

Both BFN. And I knew they would be! I have to wait until next week or I'm going to spend a fortune.

I hate internet cheap tests, I've never got a positive off of one even when 16 weeks pregnant... Then again, I've barely ever had a line on a first response either. Clearblue digital has always been my friend ;)

I dont think im going too bother with them anymore! u can still buy the other on amazon you no! save a small fortune! ive oredered 2x clearblue for £5 :o
Im dying too take a digital one, so when i get a positive i will be getting 1 for the sake of it haha! u can also get the digital on amazon for alot cheaper!
& Ive been their myself, taking tests apart! i think this is when u realise how desperate you are :(

I'm going to order some clearblue digital on amazon now... and select free super saver delivery, so that the only way I can test before next week is if I go out and buy one myself. which i'll clearly do tomorrow

I'm not due til April 3rd but may do a sneaky test on 31st March as I've got a big night out planned and would like to know whether I can drink!
This is my third month of trying and I'm finding it much harder emotionally than I thought I would. I keep convincing myself I have symptoms and ending up awfully disappointed. It doesn't help that I have a long (33 day) cycle so even longer to wait to find out.

Hi everyone, not posted for a while but I have been following everyone, still keeping my fingers crossed for you all! Im not feeling too positive about this month now...I have no idea if I have I ovulated or not, looking at cm didn't help coz how do I know if it's ewcm or dp? Basal temp has done nothing and only got a medium line on Opk on Monday last week and nothing since :( have dtd a few times around what I think is my fertile time and am still going this week but i feel that not seeing any strong sign of ovulating is a bad sign :(

Fed Dh up with some steak and We managed some very quick functional SWI last night I am a very determined woman this cycle

I wouldn't worry too much iheartcats, seems to be the case for quite a few of us that ewcm is difficult to observe, or is at the very least confusing and ov sticks don't always pick things up, especially if you only test once a day. Don't know much about temping but seems you have to be quite diligent and times etc!

I'm now on the 2ww too and not holding much hope as I've been away and think I ov'd when I was away.
Only swi on day1, 2, 4&6 of my fertile week so think we may have been too early. Have to wait and see.

No symptoms really although I've been really busy , too busy to think about it ( maybe a good thing). This morning though when I got up of the sofa I got a really sharp pain in my right ovary area....!? Not sure that that could be... Or if it could be related!?!

Yes! Unfortunately I used my secret stash last night and this mornind and big fat BFN's both times!

Does anyone else POAS, then leave the bathroom and try to spend as much time as possible distracting yourself with other things before you go back?

I know most have to be read within 10 minutes, but where the display stays for 24 hours on the digital ones, I do it, I leave it by the sink. I wash up / change and dress my DD, pack the baby bag, check in on here, let the dog out, have one last cigarette, then go in really sneakily like it knows i'm coming!

And then there it is 'Not Pregnant'

VeggieSaus - snap! mega long cycles and irregular too. They have ranged from 27 - 34 days over the past few months. So disappointing to get your hopes up thinking you're late and then getting BFN's and then to top it all off the worst, crampy AF :(

A lines a line!!! In my book. Your gonna have to stay away from the chemist and wait a few days. Best bet, - and i know you're not gonna like this. Buy a digi test on Friday, do the test Sat morn with DP and celebrate together, cos when the morning (all day) sickness kicks in you wont want him anywhere near you!

to all of us boozing, I'd stopped but after the Mothers Day fiasco and the lack of SWI this month, spending Saturday in the pub with DH seemed entirely sensible!

AF due on Thursday and am being irrational and irritable and highly PMTy , want it over wit so I can start planning April's shagging Could yet be an April BFP I suppose.

I reallly think i have a problem haha! - Well i have 1 test left. and im not going to lie ino that will be used later ( no will power ) :( have oredered a digi that will come saturday though! so after tonight i will wait untill then :).

Why would they be evap? How long before the line showed?

I asked my hubby last night to allow me 5 mins of talking about babies! As he thinks I obsess too much and worry too much.

Anyway, we agreed that if no BFP this month we will BOTH be giving up drinking as we can't think of anything more we should be doing. I'm taking folic acid, he's taking zinc, eating healthily (most of the time) we are using the OV sticks and trying to follow the SMEP plan. So last thing is giving up drink! I'm so pleased because my hubby drinks waaaay too much ? 4 times last week :( - and he won't listen to me, so maybe a lack of BFP will kick him into touch!

We're allowed a drink on our anniversary but THAT's IT! I've asked my mate to not contact me about nights out cause I can't resist and I can't have only one drink!

backward yes WAY too early! AF due Sat or more likely Sun but just no power to resist the tests in the bathroom cabinet! Have had to hide the evidence as DH and I have always tested together even though I've done probably as many tests again on my own just to be sure

curious I hadn't really thought much about discrepancies between the tests? I've got three first responses in the cupboard too... Here's betting I don't this time tomorrow

zonat any line is a LINE!! the non-pregnant body shouldn't have any b-hcg at all so it's looking positive!

Wish I could just chill out and stop day counting- even if I get the bfp we'll go on to the next countdown to 12 weeks.. Argh- to be a patient soul!!

Im just not convinced! theres a line showing instantly. I used my last test just before after holding my pee for 3/4 hours! same thing has happened, line there, but hardly any colour to it, these tests r 20-25miu also and AF not due for 7days so suppose it could be a very faint positive! :)
anyone else had anything like this before?
i keep telling myself the tests r faulty :/. i just don't want to convince myself!
if not but latest test looked on the BFP side hahaha!!!
