April BFP thread

CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Maybe you should take a test hai, just to rule it out? I really thought i had OVed, but still no temp increase and sorry if TMI, my cervix is really high and open! (I was on a mad hunt for EWCM which I may add, has been literally invisible since last month) any other ladies shed any light on this situation? I shall be ensuring to DTD tonight, even if it's bullet speed! (im secretly hoping for one of these evenings if I'm honest!)

Hai get in the loo POAS. The last time I fell pregnant I had a migraine for about 3 days before I got a BFP.

I find my cervix really difficult to get to. I don't have particularly short fingers, I think they're quite long actually, but I can only ever get a fingertip anywhere near it and I can't tell much with a fingertip. Perhaps I have a really looong fanjo?

IME I only see EWCM some months. I can have months where theres bloody loads of the stuff and others where there is no external evidence other than feeling wetter. So I'm guessing there is still EWCM happening up there but it's just staying up there. Unless you have finger up there permanantly you're not going to know what's going on all the time. Just because when you furkle around there isn't any EWCM it doesn't mean there hasn't been any or won't be any.

I've bought another help yourself get knocked up book. this one is by Zita West. If there are any gems I'll pass them on.

Proberly tmi but what does lots of watery discharge mean? Is that pg symtom or what?

It could be. It could also be just normal and mean nothing of any interest is going on or it could mean you're about to OV or are OVing. It could also mean you've got an upset foof and have BV (if it's smelly then you need to see the GP). Not very helpful I'm afraid, only a test will tell us

Hi ladies, sorry I didn't manage to reply yesterday. Yes I had my scan on the Friday and all was well so we told practically the whole world but I started bleeding on the Saturday evening and the hospital confirmed that the baby had died on the Monday. All pretty awful and I'm still finding it quite hard to see pregnant people everywhere :-( But it's time to move on and see if we can make another baby - I would LOVE to be pregnant before what would have been my due date in July. We will start DTD tomorrow :-) Xx

We are dtd tonight and will be going for daily action over the next week as we are both on annual leave, so no night shifts- Hurrah!!! :)

Quick question, been having tingling sensations in my nipples today, I know, TMI! But its obviously too early to be a symptom of pregnancy so what does this mean?????????

Hope there was lots of SWI last night ladies, managed to jump on board myself, despite a bloody argument beforehand! Pretty sure i've ovulated - had a temp increase. So about 11 or 12 days to go till test day...

Oh and hai, I had an increase in watery CM, and it was around my OV, but still maybe take a stroll in the sunshine to purchase a nice stick to pee on?! If you buy a two pack you'll have one for testing in two weeks even if this one is neg. good luck

V sorry to hear about the mc caddie. I had one in similar circumstances, years ago and I know it's shite.

I had watery cm too a day or so before I had a positive ov stick.

I'm not sure what is going on with me. DTD yesterday, still a lot of cm around but shouldn't I have ov'd by now? am cd20 ... (and I'm pretty sure it's not the obvious, this was after a shower etc). Feel fluey today. Hurrah. 10 days before I can POAS.

winkle, I've got boozy parties on this weekend too.

Is it true then ladies about increase and change in cm. I noticed about 3days before positive ovulation test, a very obvious change, it looked like jelly :/ is that right? very thick and clear. i got posative last thursday and done the deed on the monday, tuesday, thursday and sunday! heres hoping to a BFP soon. must be around 7-8DPO now, caved this morning and took an internet cheapy pg test- negative! its not over till AF arrives :o hahaha!

feel abit guilty too, partners and brothers birthday yesterday and i got a little merry, ooopss

I'm not feeling very positive this month. Have got cystitis (too much SWI I think!) and now obviously wont be SWI until it clears up. Now thinking what if I've miscalculated and am ovulating now or something. Rubbish.

backward, poor you :( I'm sure you have done enough though, you should be well and truly past ovulation shouldn't you?

Well thought i'd add to the 'merry messages', i've not drunk in AGES but for some reason got absolutely hammered last night! Naughty. I thought 'if i don't do this i know i'll be getting a BFN in 10 days so to hell with it I'm going to let lose for once! And when a couple are THAT drunk, no SWI, so really hope I deff did ovulate previously! I've had some noticeable pains today around the 'area', mostly nearer my left side, but disappeared now. Spent yesterday with a friend who has a DS younger than my DD and she's 34 weeks pg! I try and tell myself she'll have a hard time etc when really I'm green with envy. Ha. How has everyone's weekends been??

What a coincidence, I also had a drink this weekend. I rarely drink but we were in the pub until 2 a.m! It'll be sod's law that we all get a BFP this month that we've all been boozing when there's not been a sniff of one whilst absteining.

Walnut I'm on about CD23/24 and I think I'm just OVing now. I often OV this late. Lots of reasons why OV might happen a bit later than normal; stress or illness for example. Sometimes your body might attempt to OV earlier but if there is insuffient hormone the egg won't be released but your body will try again later on.

zonat EWCM (egg white cervial mucous) is the most fertile kind, it allows sperm to swim happily throught the cervix and provides safe passage up to the fallopian tubes. You've done it right this month, well timed SWI. Fingers crossed!

possom I hate cystitis, it makes me feel really miserable. When did you calculate OV? Did you have any symptoms to back it up or a +ve OPK?

hi cookie, i had the exact thought myself friday night! didn't want too drink but assumed i will be getting bfn so let my hair down! haha.

1st day of summer today, and seemed like EVERY woman out today had a lovely round BUMP under their top! could help give a few funny looks ( mean ino )!
Just keep telling myself i WILL have a lovely bump(again) under my summer clothes ;) haha!

Hi rightup - So is this jelly like clear discharge the most fertile time? would fit in with opk etc. Would that be a sure sign i was ovulating too? as ino opks just release the hormone but wouldnt neciseraly mean an egg was released!?
I do feel like giving up if this month doesnt work, or assume something is wrong, only cycle4, but seems like forever :(

EWCM and a +ve OPK are good signs of ovulation but neither are guarantees of the release of an egg. Do you have any reason to think you're not OVing?

Mainy because i havent conceived yet lol :) but suppose this is the 4th month, and thats a very reasonable amount of time! im just to damn impatient

what is EWCM ??
