ok, as the january thread reached 1800 posts exactly, well it did at last count, I think it's time we started the February thread. Now February has lots going for it, valentines, extra reasons for BD, it only has 28 days, the average length of a menstral cycle, .. so me thinks feb will be a very positive month for all of us!

Happy BD to all! (((hugs))) xxx

have you tried ovulation sticks?

wannaBe1974 · 26/01/2006 15:28

Yeh I had intended to say I'd been trying for longer than I have.

Can't use ovulation sticks as am visually impaired and can't read them, and DH goes out too early in the morning and is in too much of a hurry for him to read them.

what about a persona then, its light , so sorry to here that how long?

wannaBe1974 · 26/01/2006 15:41

aw no need to be sorry - I was born blind and have never known any different. I am fiercely independent and before I had DS I held down a regular job, firstly as a secretary, then in a call centre (for my sins) and then as a finance manager in the civil service. I do nothing different to anyone else apart from that I can't drive (the b**ds just won't give me a licence how inconsiderate! :O), but I do everything else the same as anyone. I'm a good cook, (cook everything from scratch and DS never ate a jar of baby food in his life), and obviously can use computer etc same as anyone. only minor glitch was that I couldn't push a buggy as have a guide dog and can't have dog in one hand and buggy in other so carried DS in a sling and then a back carrier until just before his 2nd birthday and now he walks everywhere and we catch busses if too far for him to walk. But I don't consider myself to be any different from anyone else and don't think of myself as disabled, I just can't see, but I think that's made me the person i am and I think that it will make my DS a better person as he will grow up knowing and understanding that not everyone is the same and I hope it will make him a more tolerant person of others.
