ok, as the january thread reached 1800 posts exactly, well it did at last count, I think it's time we started the February thread. Now February has lots going for it, valentines, extra reasons for BD, it only has 28 days, the average length of a menstral cycle, .. so me thinks feb will be a very positive month for all of us!

Happy BD to all! (((hugs))) xxx

thanks for the welcome, everyone. I'm working today through Friday and with the time difference (I'm in the US) I may be spotty on posts but I am thrilled to be one of the group. I've been trying to convince dh to try for baby #2 for about 6 months!

Let's see, someone asked how I thought of my name...lots of wine the night I registered on MN

mumswish · 02/02/2006 08:14

lots of wine is good jaberwocky!! lol

Peachy, hope you enjoyed your evening out.

Hello everyone, hope your ok today, i'm feeling abit better today.

Morning ladies

Glad you are feeling a bit better Mumswish

DS is still ill, I think it might actually be a bug he has this time rather than any thing to do with this allergy he has

Oh well on a more positive note, it is nearly Friday, which means it has been nearly 3 weeks of TTC - wonder if it has worked?!!

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:09

Hi nellie245! Yes, we're only a few months apart (my b-day is March 20 1965).
I'm definitely in the minority on MN as an American living in US. It is 6 hours earlier so I'm up with insomnia right now, hoping to get a little more sleep at some point tonight.
I'm off work most weekends and Mondays and Tuesdays, typically, so tend to post more often then.

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:11

morning girlies!! welcome jabberwocky!! cheers peachy, thats awesome of you

ladies,, thoughts id better post a little WARNING WARNING WARNING
who ever uses their computer tomorrow, particularly the internet (i think) is at a risk of having a major virus wipe out their computer!!! dp told me last night and there was a warning on the aol news section on my aol welcome page. just to let everyone know that there is a risk, so its best to make sure to do a virus check before tomorrow, then, if possible, leave the computer well alone on friday.

on a highter note (lol) happy bding all!

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:11

Oh, and I noticed we both decided to take the plunge at about the same time. Well, actually I had decided well before that, just had to wait on dh!

NatalieJane · 02/02/2006 09:15

Did everyone have a good night last night?

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:17

still in the middle of it here...drinking SleepyTime tea and keeping fingers crossed for more sleep to come.

gemmaseascout · 02/02/2006 09:17

morning ladies
how is everyone?
Feeling a bit sicky today. Totally broke down the other night my emotions are on the blink at the moment. Still its bd tonight hubby very happy we are up to every other day

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:18

I have heard to try bd several days before ovulation when trying for a girl. Anyone doing that or thinking of it?

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:18

just double checked the virus info on aol 'news and entertainment' and it says that the virus lies dormant in your PC untill tomorrow, when it will be released. so every1 scan their computers for viruses before tomorrow. apparently its sent to our PC through dodgy picture attatchments on emails.

mumswish · 02/02/2006 09:19

this virus? if you've got protective stuff you're all right arent you? we've got anti-virus software in work.

Slightly happier today as I've slept after the bad day (yesterday) and boss is being quite nice today. so i'm good

jaberwocky, sorry to hear you've got insomnia, DP has that sometimes, doesnt sleep at all one night then cant keep his eyes open past about 3pm the next day (not good when you're working with machinery)

Didnt do anything last night, watched Extroadinary Breastfeeding, then Desperate Housewives but fell asleep part way through! lol

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:20

Oh, I saw that, too. The article I read said you should be OK if your virus software is up to date, so make sure you have downloaded the latest definitions.

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:20

ive heard of that jabberwocky, but im not doing it, are you? cd18 here.

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:20

was that the programme with the 8 year old still bfing?

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:21

I'm thinking of trying it for a few months, but don't know if I'm that disciplined.

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:21

check and double check lol.
mumswish, i watched extraordinary breastfeeding too

mumswish · 02/02/2006 09:23

Nothing bothered me except the women who was trying to force the chinese baby to breastfeed and the women who was breastfeeding her 7 yr old. Them 2 kids are gonna be mucked up I think

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:25

yeah i agree. the woman who was feeding the 7 year old...her daughter near the end of the programme was saying that when she grows up, she'll suck her own breasts fro milk...thast a bit wierd aint it? and that other woman shouldnt have been trying to force the chinese baby to bf either..that was well wrong IMO

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:25

that must be the one that the other thread is about. I agree, there has to be a stopping point - and it should be well before 7!

jabberwocky · 02/02/2006 09:25

was the chinese baby adopted?

mumswish · 02/02/2006 09:27

well the mother of the 7 yr old said that babies should be allowed to stop of they're own accord, this little 7 yr old had just started to lose the ability to suck so thats why they stopped otherwise I think they would have kept going!!

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:27

yeah she was adopted jabber, by a spanish woman (i think). yep, u know the programma, i read the other thread about it too, lol, stirred up a lot of contrversy didnt it? and yep, theres deffinatly a line, and its way b4 7

wuzzlefraggle · 02/02/2006 09:29

which would have been totally messed up [slightly grossed out emoticon]
