ok, as the january thread reached 1800 posts exactly, well it did at last count, I think it's time we started the February thread. Now February has lots going for it, valentines, extra reasons for BD, it only has 28 days, the average length of a menstral cycle, .. so me thinks feb will be a very positive month for all of us!

Happy BD to all! (((hugs))) xxx

Hello ladies
day 5 on agnus cactus and am now having hot flushes!!! BD last night just in case.
Taste is getting bareable.
any body got anything else to try. Gonna see my embriologist friend this weekend so hopefully she might have some ideas!

NatalieJane · 01/02/2006 15:14

OK Mumswish good luck!

Hi Gemma, I don't think I have heard of anything else that can help, sorry. Why don't you ask on a new thread someone may know something?

mumswish · 01/02/2006 15:28

ok spoken to solicitor and he's gonna put that we want a reduction of £1400 on the price. If that is agreed on then all is well and done! If not we gotta start looking for somewhere else. Gotta ring back on Monday and see whether he got a response.

Have just found out that our house is on Queenspark which if you saw the news a few years ago you'll know there was big race riots there and people were burning cars etc. So it may be hard to sell later on cos its got such a bad reputation but heres hoping.

Solicitor is also putting a 2 wk notice on them, if we havent received a completion date from them in the next 2 wks we're pulling out.

Kinda happy, very relieved.

NatalieJane · 01/02/2006 15:32

You will be quite suprised about the riot thing, most people who look at the house (when it comes to you wanting to sell it) will either a) KNOW it is on that estate - in which case they wouldn't mind living there else why would they be looking? or b) not know it is that estate and by the time they find out they will have already fallen in love with the house that much that it wouldn't matter where it is!!

That's what I think anyway!!!

mumswish · 01/02/2006 15:35

i hope so as were hoping to make money on it.

wannaBe1974 · 01/02/2006 15:40

Depends how long ago the race riots were and whether you were on the estate at the time, if you were and the buyers ask about the estate and whether there's ever any trouble, then you're supposed to disclose it, similarly if you have bad neighbours and new buyers ask about the neighbours, if you don't disclose that they're bad neighbours and it turns out that they are, then the new occupants could sue you as a result. it's change to law that has come into effect in last 3 years or so.

I am sure it will be fine, there are many more worse places to live after all!!

I am going to have to dissapear again, DS has woken up and I have barely spent any proper time with him since I found MN, feeling quite guilty!!

I do hope things start looking up about the house now though, we have done the long distance moving thing with the vendor threatening to pull out if we didn't first of all move the completion date back then forwards again! Right blooming nutter he was, but eventually when you spend your first night in your new house none of the sh*t seems to matter anymore.

Anyway will maybe sneak on again later, depends what time DH gets home. TC xxx

wannaBe1974 · 01/02/2006 15:43

Hi trace, just read your post and am glad to see that blood test appears to be normal. I guess you just have to wait for your day 3 test now to double check your FSH level? Either way things appear to be looking positive for you and your DH doesn't have a reason to say you should "give up" now. And who knows, this month could be the month? Are you on day 24 now? and how long are your cycles normally?

OP posts:
mumswish · 01/02/2006 15:46

see ya later natalie,

Wannabe, we're just about to buy the house so we werent about at the time.

Should be ok now tho, i hope.

Where you been all day wannabe?

wannaBe1974 · 01/02/2006 15:51

ah well if you're just about to buy it then you're not planning to sell it any time soon, and as long as there are no riots while you're living there it shouldn't be a problem really.

Just been about today really, took DS to pre school etc, have come down with the cold that everyone else seems to have so feeling bit rough.

OP posts:
mumswish · 01/02/2006 15:53

I hope you feel better soon, shouldnt be any riots, it was all cos its a council estate (or used to be) and they kept putting immigrants on it and that meant the normal people lost they're jobs to them, hence the riots.

wannaBe1974 · 01/02/2006 15:56

well if people are still buying houses there then that's a positive thing. so have you resisted the urge to BD this month?

OP posts:
mumswish · 01/02/2006 15:59

kinda, we bd'd on sat but I (TMI) cleaned out quick. Really cant afford to get pg till this house is definate in case it falls through. AS soon as we've got a completion date tho I'm well and truly willing to get on with it.

wannaBe1974 · 01/02/2006 16:19

Ah I see, although it won't take 9 months for house to go through so if it was me I would just start TTC anyway.

OP posts:
mumswish · 01/02/2006 16:30

see I say that aswel, but if this house falls through which we wont know for another 2 wks, we've gotta wait 2 months to save up the money for search fees etc before we can start looking again, then gotta go through getting a good one (took us 2 months to choose a house) so it all adds up.

Cant wait to get it all done tho. Then Bd here we come!

mumswish · 01/02/2006 16:57

ok then ladies, i'm off home for the night now. Hope you all have a good evening and dont natter too much cos it takes me too long to catch up and I might miss something only kidding.

wannaBe1974 · 01/02/2006 20:30

Hi all, pussycat hope you're feeling better, there's a lot of it about, although I have read numerous accounts of people with flu-like simptoms actually being pregnat so here's hoping ...

Trace you never know you could just not have any simptoms? I didn't have a clue I was PG with my DS until two weeks later when I passed out. even had a bleed which I figured was AF and it appears ... wasn't.

I'm on day 15 now - AF is due on valentines!
