ok, as the january thread reached 1800 posts exactly, well it did at last count, I think it's time we started the February thread. Now February has lots going for it, valentines, extra reasons for BD, it only has 28 days, the average length of a menstral cycle, .. so me thinks feb will be a very positive month for all of us!

Happy BD to all! (((hugs))) xxx

well im routing for you both that the money wont be changed at all mumswish.i'll have to give them a sorting out for you if they try to

i know im going off topic a little but how long can sperm live iykwim???

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 13:23

I don't know much about these sorts of things but if he has been awarded it once, I can't see why they should change their mind after?

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 13:25

lol, i only want to loose about a stone and a hlaf, maybe 2 so i can get bak to being a size 8/10 (perferably 10 i think)
im actualy enjoying al the exercise lol, dont make sense do it?

mumswish · 31/01/2006 13:25

as far as i know a couple of days in the vagina cos we've got acidy stuff in there that kills them (and they say making babies is easy!!) outside of vagina i dont know.

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 13:26

yeah, ime ant inside the vagina...
hah, it aint as easy as they would maek you beleve is it? lol

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 13:27

I have been told sperm can live anything up to five days, but I think it can differ from man to man as in how healthy he is, how much alcohol, etc. Not 100% sure though.

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 13:28

have u actualy stopped drinking alcohol all togather??

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 13:29

You spend your whole (adult) life trying not to get PG, taking pills, having injections and goodness knows what else, and then when you want a baby... ha makes you wonder why we bother with contraception!!

mumswish · 31/01/2006 13:30

I should technically lose about 4 stone but no matter how much excersise i do i cant lost it so i'm stuck with it.

the tribunal can change the award if they want (or at least the amount) because DP old boss is saying he never got any of the mail that was sent warning him of a tribunal, and cos there was no one at the hearing for them etc so they're trying to say that because they knew nothing of it there shouldnt have even been a hearing never mind an award

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 13:31

I haven't stopped drinking all together, I didn't in my first pregnancy either (have obviously cut down a lot though!), I have quit smoking, and started trying to eat a little better then we have been doing since xmas, but other than that not really done much in the way of prep.

mumswish · 31/01/2006 13:32

i know, i'm just gonna give up on the contraception thing and wait for menopause to kick in before having sex again, that should fix it. lol

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 13:32

the only pills im taking to try and help is folic acid..i have evning primrose downstairs too, is that worth taking too?
mumswish, im sure ur prefect as u are anyway
well if they do take any of that money off you, its wrong IMO

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 13:37

His ex-boss sounds like a right one I really do hope it works out the way you want it to!

I'm not keen on taking suppliments and vit's etc. I think if you put reasonably healthy things into a body you get good things coming out!! Other people will swear by them, but unless I really believed they would make a difference, I wouldn't be bothered!

mumswish · 31/01/2006 13:37

I am perfect! DP says so, he reckons that my boobs are big enough that it doesnt matter how big my belly is!! lol,

if they try and take money off him, i'm gonna burn down the cafe! lol (where he used to work)

I've not done anything different really, Oh Oh Wuzzle, I forgot to tel you, i bought that pump it up vid so been doing that of an evening (even DP is doing it, or atleast watching them do it!) gave up smoking nearly a yr ago.

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 13:40

hey, you have the pump it up workout too?? yay!!! hahaha @dp,men eh? whta do you think of the workout???
i quit smoking about 18 months ago now, and feel a damn site beter for it

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 13:45

I quit smoking when I was PG, then started again when DS was about 18m old, I didn't really ever feel better or worse for not smoking but this time it has only been since 3rd Jan that I haven't had a ciggy and I do really feel better for it, never realised how hard it could be to breathe before!

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 13:48

how old is your little one natalie?
do u mind if i ask what kind of birth you went for? sorry, im nosey aint i?

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 14:03

My DS is 3, 4 in March. I had a bloody horrible birth experience to be honest!!! I was induced, dilated from 4cm to 10cm in about 45 mins (which hurts!!!) I had gas and air which made me fall asleep so I don't remember much, just yelling and screaming for what seemed like hours!! Then I was told to push and finally felt like I had some control, and basically pushed as hard as anyone ever could and he popped out 15 minutes later, I didn't tear but he came out with his hand by his ear (as if he was on the phone!) so his finger nails scraped me so I had to have a couple of sticthes for that, he was 7lb 15 and a half ounces, and was completely perfect!! He was all pink and plump, and he didn't get that funny shaped head that some little tots get so he looked different to every baby I had seen on these birth programs on the telly! Sorry totally turned into a ramble didn't it!!! LOL

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 14:07

not at all natalie, lol, i am always interested in hearing how mums got on with the birthing part of it(any part of motherhood for that matter)...im not even pregnant yet and am already trying to get my head around birthing options, lol. thinking ahead is putting it mildly in my case

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 14:08

so the gas and air is good then?? did you have any other pain relief?

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 14:10

LOL my birth plan is as many drugs I can safely have and enjoy it, like I said I can't remember most of the first labour, I can't remember when my waters broke, if they went naturally or if someone popped them, I don't remember the 3rd stage at all, I don't remember any of the peoples names or faces who were there at the birth - except obviously DH!! It all sounds really petty when you write it down, but it is things I would like to be able to remember after this next one!!

mumswish · 31/01/2006 14:13

i think its knackering at the mo, i'm not doing that much of it, i'm mostly still doing the taibo workout but what i've seen of the other one, its good.

Cant wait to get a bit fitter then i can do it properly without collapsing on a heap when i'm done.

I gave up smoking in 2004 when i found out i was pg, then when the mc happened i started again but I quit again about March/April this year. I dont feel better or worse for smoking to be honest, probably cos I only smoked about 1 or 2 a day

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 14:14

i understand what u mean natalie. theres probably a hell of a lot going on for you to take in all at once, so dont feel too guilty for not remembering everything

this is number 2 that you are trying for i take it?

NatalieJane · 31/01/2006 14:16

Gas and air wasn't so bad if you wanted to be asleep, like if you had been awake for days on end then it would probably be worth it, but I wouldn't use it again. The only help it really gave me was the mask itself, I was pushing it so hard on to my face so that I could concentrate on the pain that bought instead of the pain going on else where IYKWIM? I did have an epidural put in when I was checked at 4cm, but by the time I felt it doing anything I had had the baby and was trying to walk to the ward from the delivery room, obviously my legs didn't work very well and ended up in a wheel chair instead!!

wuzzlefraggle · 31/01/2006 14:17

which pump it up workout did u buy then?? mines the ultimate workout one. and yes, it is nackering, and i cant go all the way through it yet lol, but u should start out doing as much as is comfortable for you (ie, dont collapse lol)
i normally do between 30 and 45 mins of it at the mo, depending how it goes
