I am ttc as of next month (although halfheartedly tryed this month ). I have one ds aged 2.5 yrs.

Jacsmumto1 - I tested positive 5 days(and 4 days and 3 days and 2 days! ) before my AF was due using a Boots own test!

Boring and sensible answer is to wait..... the better answer is to go get a 1st response or Boots test. AND DO IT NOW!

OHMAGOD! Just realised that when I started this thread I was already pregnant! lol

I'm too frightened too!! I'm so scared I have got my hopes up and it's just my mind playing games.....

I've decided to wait till tomorrow - I can get a suitable preg test from the works pharmacist and would also be the day before AF due.. BUT.. I do feel AF is on the way.. the period pains are stronger.. so annoying to have 'signs' with period pains!

M2T hope AF goes away, we need to do the dance again...

M2T, you told me when I felt AF pains last time that you had them in your first pgcy!!! It's normal to feel 'period' like as the bloating and all that is there but the evil AF just doen't come!

gave in and did another clearblue test (I know I shouldn't have given in to a test that is not reliable before AF date...) ... was negative

pp still there.. and a metallic taste in my mouth.. is it my imagination?

Quacks - I did have them last time but I just don't remember if they were this strong.

Still no AF and I did another test with a strong positive.

So, with a bit of apprehension I'm off to start the Augst thread.

Jacsmumto1 - Wait a few days and test again.... I am still getting very strong AF signs.

What tests would you recommend. AF is due on Thurs/Friday and have felt fairly certain that I am pg. Been feeling pretty normal except for some crampy feelings in my abdomen and a strong metallic taste in my mouth.

I was too impatient and did a First Reponse (supposedly can give a result as early as three days before AF is due) test this am it was a big FAT negative ...

Anybody got any anecdotes about how terrible these tests are to cheer me up

PS: sorry for gatecrashing your thread, couldn't resist asking...

went to the pharmacy at work - only had clearblue tests in stock... guess it is forcing me to wait and see now....

the metallic taste is so strong and the cramps are just 'there' - not painful or anything just there!

dejags - sorry I can't help - still trying to find out myself. Have my fingers crossed for you!

Dejags, Firast resp can pick up positive 3 days beforem but it says in the instructions, it will only pick up about 60% of positives as everyone has diff levels of hormone at the start. HTH
