mls no, no longer broody (bar the odd twinge!) I sometimes am a little sad that we will never have a girl, but I wouldn't change my boys for anything. The logistics of 3 is hard enough, having 4 would just be a step too far. And in any case, they've all been prem and all low birthweight so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead.

4ever How exciting with her birthday coming up! You are just good at planning, it gets harder when you have more and you already have stuff. Can you believe Oscar is going to be 1 on 2nd June I have got no idea what to get him. We have tonnes of clothes, tonnes of toys and I just don't know where to start. We are going to have a look at toys this weekend in the hope of getting some inspiration. Really sorry about your nephew, what awful timing . Very scary being a cyclist these days.

Vjay thanks so much for that link, the article was really helpful. I went to our local autism support group (which is fab) and they have a library. Managed to find a great book aimed at brothers ("My brother is different") which I'm going to get Luke to look at. Would probably be good for Ajay when the time comes. I am glad the St Johns Wort is helping, I think my equivalent anti-depressant is to go for a run/swim. Things can just get too much sometimes, can't they.

We started ttc DC2 the month after DS1's 2nd b'day as I always wanted two full years with DS1 and am not built to have a two year old and a newborn = the joys of commencing parenthood at the grand old age of 35 = easily knackered! You must post a picture of S's castle cake .

Well if you want a (slightly) more educated guess, I saw my midwife today & she reckons this baby is going to be a similar size to my other 2 who were 6lb14 & 7lb1.

What I want to know then is how the feck I've put 3 stone on???!

mls I've put on about 3 and a half! I measured 37cms today so hopefully not a huuuge baby, but I wouldn't be surprised at 9lb ish.

Ah well in that case you are definitely having a girl!! Is your bump all around your sides too? Mine is all totally out the front & measuring 39 so must surely be a boy! I've got my iPhone resting on it & it's moving so much I keep doing typos.

I think mine is mostly out front.. I keep being told I'm massive by everyone though . Everything feels the same as it did with ds so will be v interested to find out if it's a boy or girl.

Sorry 4ever no news.. lots of tightenings but nothing regular.. had a dream I went into labour & woke up convinced today was the day but now I'm not so sure!

buddha that timing sucks. Maybe you'll be having to have a sober 40th though?

cupcake this is all getting too exciting now! I'm having lots of tightenings too & lots of sharp pains down below.

I forgot to say that when I had my mw appt on fri she went by my scan dates which would put me at 38+6 today. That's a load of codswallop though as that means I would have conceived while dh was in the States on business! I still maintain that I'm exactly 38+2. I finally finished the baby shopping yesterday ( angelcare monitor, maxi cosi rain cover & bath support) so today I truly feel ready to have this baby!

monkey how're you doing? I'm off to Anglesey in October, and was thinking of you. I've not been out to my mums place for about 8 years and they're thinking of selling it do wanted one last visit and then both my boys will have even there

mls stick to your dates! Was chatting to a doctor friend last night who got quite passionate about how annoying it was they insist on going by scan dates, he reckoned scan dates should only be used if the woman had no clue about her dates..so I'll be sticking to mine!
Am actually bouncing on my ball right now as had some quite intense period pains but seems to have stopped now, grr. I finished the last stitch on baby's blanket earlier so I too am READY... Come on!

And if that is the case, I'm hoping they are not as bloody minded as her ! Had a day at legoland today which was lovely - BB went on boating school with me and ds. Poor ds ( who was looking forward to driving and who's late birthday treat it was) wasn't allowed to even touch the steering wheel as it was apparently "hers" and she played hell when he tried to help. We ended up going the wrong way at one point, with her screaming the place down - and yes, she is a bit of a character - as I tell everyone, she was sent to make sure I never had any more children!! Manic at work again - happy week all. Will be lurking to here any lovely baby news - and forMLS, to laugh as her third child arrives!!

No no no NO not Friday! Dd2 has woken up with chicken pox today, I can't believe the timing. That means dd1 will probably get it just as I'm about to have the baby.
