About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

Hey Buddha have fun at the hen night - does your DH know he's dessert?

B is at nursery and Dh and me are taking Isaac and two of his chums to see 'Pirates' - yo ho ho!

It's my first llo edd anniversary today - 6/4/09 but I look at my B and am eternally grateful for him so not feeling sad just thoughtful and wanted to mark it.

What scooters are y'all referring to? Can you post a link? My B is still very babied by me [bublush] in cot, bedtime bottle, babygrows at night - he he someone will need to have a quiet word in my ear when I'm still shoe horning him into his sleeping bag when he's 5! He will always be my baby and just cherishing his chubby tummy and thighs before he becomes a bean pole like his brother Smile

Laters!

Hi sabs lunchtimeish cool with me, say 1-2ish?

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 07/04/2012 19:07

Sorry I missed posting yesterday blue...thinking of you. Love your descriptions of B's chubby thighs Grin I just love my ds's too and he's so ticklish on them Grin but yes he is growing up way too fast; can't believe he will no longer be my baby soon!

Forgot to answer your q the other day 4ever but no we haven't got J any 'big brother' stuff.. but we have got him a pressie from the baby, it's a Toby engine, who is a firm favourite so will hopefully go down well Grin
At the moment I'm massively fretting about leaving him when I go into labour. I have one of my NCT friends on standby at the mo to have him if it happens, and once SIL is back from easter hols in 2 weeks she'll be first port-of-call but I'm just so soooo nervous about it because it's so unknown when it might happen and how long it will take...just hate the thought of leaving him :( really scared it will happen really quickly too when I'm alone with ds Confused gah...horrible.

Anyway, sorry for that ramble.. hope you all have a v happy Easter tomorrow Grin dh has bought me a massive bag of mini eggs which I am way too tempted to break into tonight!!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 07/04/2012 20:05

Evening ladies, happy Saturday night & happy nearly-Easter! Smile

blue I do that to dd2 as well, she'll always be my baby & gawd knows how I'm going to get her to give up her dummy & bottle! Grin

vjay lol at you being an mn slut... So who's bed did you end up spending the night in the other night hey??! Hmm

cupcake totally with you on the labour worries. If its any consolation, I believe babies don't turn up until a convenient time most of the time! With dd2 I was in labour from 6am & it wasn't until 7pm & I was literally reading the last page off dd1's bedtime story when a massive contraction crashed through me & my next-door neighbour came to baby-sit. This time I have my neighbour across the road & my ex next-door neighbour on call-out as neither of us has any family around. Try not to worry about it too much, whoever has him, your ds will be in very safe hands & believe me when you are in the throes of labour you won't be stressing about it like you are now! As for the quick labour - my second one was 30 hours!!

Well we are in the IOW. Had a good day at Blackgang Chine today followed by me wanting to throttle dh tonight! The girls have gone to bed having spag on toast tonight instead of the meal we were supposed to be going out for. Dh & I are not talking - happy holidays!!! Confused

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 08/04/2012 07:44

Happy Easter lovelies GrinGrinGrin. I'm loving the mnslut conversation!! I'll be on later hopefully to catch up properly and I'll also send an email out to make final arrangements for our emmsys meetup offline Smile I'm very excited Smile

Big hugs to blue Sad. We will never forget. what a lovely image of your gorgeous B though xxxx

Neeko · 08/04/2012 07:55

Hi all and a very happy Easter to you all. 17 eggs in this house and the promise of another 8 to come - eek! Good job DH and I can get stuck in now lent is over, but think we'll all be at it for a while.
now eek to falling out. Hope you've made up now.
cupcake I know it's hard but try not to worry about J. Kids are really resilient and he'll be fine. He'll be with your DH after the birth and, after all, you are giving him a friend for life!

Barbie Hope all the problems are ironed out by now and you're getting settled. How are you feeling in yourself as my HV would say?

Blue know we texted but sending you another hug anyway. It's horrible to be feeling so torn between wallowing in your sadness and feeling so guilty because you know you have been blessed. As for babying, my mum told me yesterday that I'm her baby and I'm almost 36!

Buddha sorry you missed the last egg. I hope Easter will have special significance for you. Try to think of it as the opportunity to enjoy an illness-free E before the early pregnancy fatigue kicks in.

On my phone and this has taken ages so posting before I lose it.

Enjoy the chocolate!

Neeko · 08/04/2012 07:59

X-post curly. Happy Easter! Hope you are feeling ok.

mls my phone auto-corrected your name to now!

VJayazzle · 08/04/2012 11:27

xx

mls hope you and dh have made up and are enjoying the chocolate.

cupcake ds1 was my biggest worry about giving birth too, but to be honest once I was in the throes of labour I just wanted and needed to get on with it and was glad dh had him in the end, I wasn't worrying about either if them then and was really focused on my labour.

neeko what on earth did you and dh give up for lent that you and your dh can now get stuck into to??? [buwink]

Waves to all Emmys and a happy Easter x

Neeko · 08/04/2012 12:38

vjay you have a dirty mind! Of course we gave up chocolate! Though that's an idea for next year... x

moon how are you feeling on the clomid?

VJayazzle · 08/04/2012 13:50

[bugrin]

Yes moon come and gives us an update [busmile]

BlueMoon1981 · 08/04/2012 14:23

Taking clomid hasnt been too bad, I think the worst thing for me is during the tablet taking days I felt very low and teary and almost depressed, oh and very tired. But once those days were over I've just had some quite persistent cramping and not much else really. I think I've been lucky as some people seem to have had an awful time of it. If I'm honest I'm trying not to think about it too much, if anything happens it will of course be lovely but I'm not pinning my hopes on it working. Df however thinks its wonderful and keeps telling me needs to 'sperminate' me (sorry tmi!) [buhmm] [bugrin]

I had a dream last night that I delivered a friends baby in some toilets at a party! She is not pregnant and has no desire to be! [buhmm]

Big squidge for blue and waves to backintheukbarbie, hope gracie and family are all doing well. Mini eggs and hugs all round for those that need them (well, who doesnt ever need both?!). Hope you're all enjoying a relaxing weekend.

bluesatinsash · 08/04/2012 17:02

Happy Easter everyone [busmile]. I can feel the sugar rush from all that chocolate from here [bugrin]

Also Happy Birthday to lovely Sabs hope you're having a fab day Smile

Moon starting to get an ickle excited for you and your sperminator! Go clomid go!

Thanks for all your kind thoughts, fellow mummies of lost angels xx

barbie1 · 08/04/2012 18:20

Marking my place so I can come back and post soon...we are ok, a few problems which I'll tell you about soon. Just wishing you a happy Easter x

littlebellsmum · 09/04/2012 20:35

evening ladies - hope we all have had a happy choclate filled easter. My older dc's are away for the next few days and I now need to stare at ( and not eat) their easter egg stash.
Been very cross with MN - wrote a logn post and it got eaten...

And so, now back to my usual short posts:
gracie lovely to hear your news - congratulations. Hope he is being a good boy and his sister is enjoying being a big sis!

cupcake I agree with the others - babies can come at convinenent times. with DS I was really worried as didn't know my NCT friends v well as I was back at work and so neither did DD but had one on standby as we had no one else. My mum and dad were down 3 weeks before he was due and he made his arrival that weekend. Bit early and quick but very convienient - also my parents got to hold him when he was only a few hours old

Barbie hope you are doing ok - looking forward to your post when you have time. Need to arrange a meet as I can't make friday

mls are you on a constant holiday at the mo? No wonder you and dh aren' speaking Smile

4ever Argghhhh for your little monkey and your rings!! Good job you have such quick reactions

Neeko Happy birthday for H ( much belateed I know)

Nothing much to report here - life busy as ever. I can't make the meet now on friday as I have to work - dd2's nursery is closed tomorrow and I only realised on Thursday and so am switiching my days at work round!! Lucky next week is quiet!! We now describe BB as a great baby - if only she could sleep more in her bed and not say no to most meals that we give to her. Other than that she's lovely, bright, funny and sociable - also stubborn and bloody minded. Has decided that she will only walk now ( or ride on my bike) , will not hold hands and so needs to be bundled accross roads fireman style, whilst screaming her head off!! She is also besotted by Postman Pat

buddha and moon hope you have had , ehhm, busy Easters Wink

blue and vjay hope you are both surviving the snow - blue your holiday sounded lovely

Anyway going now incase this gets eaten again grgggghhhhh

cupcakefairy · 09/04/2012 22:51

Quick one to say hi to barbie and so glad you've made it safely to this side :)

Hi lbm thanks for reassurance (and everyone else) dh & I have made a proper PLAN tonight about going into hospital so feel much better about it. But yes in an ideal world baby would arrive at a very convenient time when dh is here & has enough time to go & collect sil.. we'll see!!
Btw ds is not a good eater either.. would eat endless sandwiches/crackers/finger food but rejects most hot meals.. sooo frustrating but most friends with babies same age have the same problem so trying not to stress too much about it though it is so annoying when they just point blank refuse food!

Enjoy your weeks ladies, and the meetup.. v jealous! X

cupcakefairy · 10/04/2012 16:52

Just realised I forgot to say hi to lovely moon..thanks for updating us, keeping everything crossed for you! Glad you haven't had too many bad side effects. Lol at sperminate Grin glad he's taking the role seriously ;)

4everhopeful · 11/04/2012 09:04

Hello ladies, keep meaning to post.. Blush Hope you all had a lovely easter chocfest?! Grin

Moon Im Grin here as well at sperminate! Everything x'd and tons of babydust coming your way!

Cupcake I'm sure you're bound to worry but you will at least have a few hrs from first contractions to delivery so I'm sure you'll get sorted! As for J eating, our philosophy is if Summer eats at least one main meal thats ok, and they'll eat if they are hungry, although I realise Im very lucky that she is a little gannet that wolfs down her food and eats pretty much everything, roast being her favourite!

Neeko how many eggs left now?! Grin We gave up cake and beer so had it in abundance on sun Hope you are enjoying your hols, or are youback now? Just realised you maybe...

MLS hope your hols improved too! Not long for you now til you are a family of 4

Sabs belated birthday greetings to you! Cant wait til friday!!!

Blue Glad you had a lovely hols! Im with you on babying Summer, still has her nighttime bot bot and in our room too, in no hurry for her to be growing up, despite the fact she looks like a 3yr old! Hmm The scoooter we have is THIS

Buddha sorry af showed up again the witch, a nice 2013 spring babe for you will be lovely though! Wink

Louey did you mention you might make the meet up? Let us know wont you? We can pass on the details!

LBM real shame you cant make the meet up.. Curly and Barbie so looking forward to getting our girls together!!! Grin

Wierdly, like Blue, on Friday, that will actually be the anniversary of my 1st ever edd too, 13th April 2008, my little honeymoon baby, all seemed so perfect, but wasnt to be, so poignant that we'll be having a meet that day, very nice indeed. Obviously like us all, mixed feelings, as without all my lost LO's there would be no Summer, and that, I would not change for the world, my gorgeous miracle girl! Grin

OP posts:
4everhopeful · 11/04/2012 15:38

Doh finger slippage! Of course Mls will soon be a family of 5!

littlebellsmum · 11/04/2012 19:56

4ever oh, what a clever little scooter - looks fab. I was planning on a micro scooter next year but I might be converted!! However DH is going a bit mad with the garage full of bikes, scooters, cars , trampolines we already have in the garage and I'm aiming for a likeabike for tiddler next, so might have to wait on the scooter!!
And yes, you are so lucky that S eats everything - BB is turning out to be the worst eater of my three, primarily as she won't eat what the others eat but will happily eat the contents of the snack cupboard. On Friday morning, I wasn't quick enough with breakfast and so, she started decanting the contents of the cupboard onto my bed and smiled her most cute smile untill I said yes to a fruit sachet or 'zinger!!

cupcake thanks for the reassurance, yes I know it's a phase and the best thing is not to react but it's so annoying! Already realised that she has to eat earlier than the rest of us at weekends and so has seperate meals as if I don't the constant asking and crying for snacks drives you mad!!

Yummy - tea has just cooked. Night all - speak soon
