Hey All!
Im currently on CD 20 so around 8-10 days until the AF arrives or I can test :D Just thought there may be some others that are waiting and driving themselves crazy! Thought we could hopefully share our BFP within the next few weeks, and keep each other sane! :D

Laura Sad.

Got stick to PO but can't bring myself to do it, don't want to be disappointed again.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 17/02/2012 11:18

Righto, I'm back from the GP. Apparently it is not uncommon for my antibiotics to bring AF forward. So it is CD1 for me. This, i have decided, is a good thing: I have missed out on the whole TWW madness and I get to start ttc a week earlier than planned! Grin

ImpatientOne · 17/02/2012 11:29

Sorry for those with AF arriving :(

Good example of looking on the bright side Confused missing out on the TWW is a bonus and you get an early start on the next cycle!

My TWW has been chopped down to a week as I have discovered I ovulate very late in a short cycle - not a great sign I know but at least it explains away the past 5 months of missing ovulation by about 5 days! Blush

pippi hope you can POAS soon and get good news or move on... it's such an emotional time

sedgieloo · 17/02/2012 13:14

pipbin do you know I have also seen this video too!! It was forever ago, some kind of reproduction documentary (I hasten to add)

impatient I thought I had a short luteal phase, I looked into it a bit and some recommend Vitamin B6 supplementation post ovulation and also Traditional Chinese Medicine - I'm trying both myself, charting now shows my luteal phase is looking fine at 13 days but to be fair it might be related to my cutting BF right down to almost nothing in recent weeks.

bettergetamoveon · 17/02/2012 13:49

You know what, when we conceived DS on month 9 of trying, I had an orgasm straight after one of our sessions. This hadn't happened in the 8 months previously. My DH had mentioned he'd seen a video - maybe the same one you both watched? Definatley going to be giving that a go this month coming.

Have a feeling AF is on the way for a visit Angry Had cramps and really tender (o)(o). I had very light browish spotting once yesterday when I went to the toilet and then once so far today. Last month I had 5 days of spotting before AF arrived. This month AF due in 6 days, so looks obvious to me I'm out for this month Sad

On a brighter note when my spotting is constant and I'm 100% sure AF coming I can:
a. go for a nice 10k run (have been afraid to the last week because exercise messes with my hormones unfortunately)
b. Drink a bottle of Cava
c. Get a huge chunk of lovely Stilton
d. Give blood
e. Go for a sauna

I feel better already!

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/02/2012 15:05

Sorry for all the AFs :( feb obv isn't a v good month.

It's the start of my fertile period today (if 28 day cycle) so going to dtd tonight and every other night for the next couple of weeks, poor dh he's going to be knackered!

Pipbin · 17/02/2012 15:24

Segie & Better It was ages ago. I remember it was in my student days and watching it in a shared house so it must have been around 1995. There was a great deal of publicity for it because it was the first time such a thing had been filmed. I would search you tube for it but I am freighted of what I might find!

I am so bored of waiting now. The TWW is the hardest part. 9 days to wait but it seems like forever. I think because there is nothing I can do but stare at the Fertility Friend chart.

Pipbin · 17/02/2012 15:26

Better there is no such thing as a nice 10k run!!
That said I do a mile in the morning and one morning when I was in the TWW I just felt dreadful when I came back. I felt like I was going to have my AF all of a sudden. May be I shouldn't run in the TWW. Any excuse really.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 17/02/2012 15:55

pipbin staring at fertility friend is my favourite TWW pastime. I don't know why I expect the app to give me any great insight, it's not like it is suddenly going to say "you're pregnant (although as I have no way of knowing this you'll just have to trust me), but you can't test for another 6 days so it is our secret". - this is clearly what I expect to see each time I open the app during the TWW and then get disappointed when all it really tells me is that the earliest I can test is 6 days away! I am clearly mad!Grin

bettergetamoveon · 17/02/2012 15:56

Desperate - good luck to you, hope this is the one for you.

Pipbin I've missed running, but sometimes when I exercise, I have that dreadful feeling you're talking about then come home to spotting. Don't want to risk it. I'm fat, have lost a couple of stone already and that's mainly been due to tonnes of exercise/eating well. I can see me piling the weight on again which isn't good for baby making anyway is it?! Maybe i could power walk? I always think that looks a bit daft but now can see the appeal!

Pipbin · 17/02/2012 16:58

Better I go out at 6am for my run in the hope that no one sees me. Yet I got to work once to find that I had gone past two colleagues houses just as they were opening their bedroom curtains!
The feeling I had that time was awful and it has put me off. I felt like my womb was heavy, rather like on the first day of a really heavy period when you get the feeling it's all backed up and just wants out.

I am so disappointed when I open up FF and it tells me that same things that it has told me all day.

pipsicles · 17/02/2012 21:42

Hello ladies! I was hoping that I could join? I have an open box of red Lindor to pass around!

I am (unexpectedly) on day 3 of the 2ww after throwing caution to the wind on Valentine's day (also our anniversary)!

I'm trying not to get myself all worked up, as I did this plenty of times before my BFP with my DS, esp as this is three or four months earlier than originally intended!

better I couldn't help but smile when I saw your list of things you can do when AF arrives! I found that to be absolutely the best way to cope with the huge disappointment last time - you should add Brie, shellfish and dippy eggs to that list too!

pipbin & Confused I'm also an avid FF obsessive, even more so now that I have the app and, like you, love to look at every statistic I can to convince myself I am pg. I've even been known to go so far as to discard temps just to fix my lines on what I think the right time for ov'ing is!!! For the last 4-5 months I've been using it to help me know when NOT to DTD, but a couple of months ago, when I stopped bfing, my cycle went haywire and FF told me I was probably pg and should take a test! I was hugely excited and got myself all carried away with the prospect, and then had to face the real world when I got my (inevitable) BFN! DH was pleased though!

In fairness, the best way to not get worked up over the 2ww would be not to sit on mn talk, but of course, that really is not an option is it ladies?!

Pipbin · 18/02/2012 08:39

6dpo and spotting today.
~pleads with any deity which will listen to make it a good sign~

wineisamumsbestfriend · 18/02/2012 09:37

Hi Ladies, hope all are well? Quick question, what are really early pregnancy signs & is it even possible do you think to have symptoms really early? I think I might have a bug- nausea, tired, crampy, emotional.... Can't be AF (I don't think) not due for 2 weeks..... Hmmmmmm looking too much into it! Crazy woman. Calm down!!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/02/2012 09:58

pipbin that could v well be implantation, 6-10 days after OV. Fingers crossed for you Grin

wine I think it may be a leeetle too early for symptoms, but I'm no expert! Everything I've read on symptoms generally start at 4 weeks.

Pipbin · 18/02/2012 10:55

Ladies, I have a confession to make.
I have been really bad. After saying 'you really shouldn't test early, it only leads to heartache', I snapped and POAS. I used an opk and it wasn't FMU. But there is the faintest of faint lines.

I know that a opk isn't really going to give me a sensible answer, and I'm not reading anything into it. However when I'm not around OV time a I never get anything like a line. I'm not going to tell DH because he will just think it was a silly thing to do.

Ladies, tell me I was stupid.

bettergetamoveon · 18/02/2012 13:10

pipbin I don't know about OPKs in detecting if you're pg, maybe someone with more knowledge can offer their advise. If I were you I'd go out and buy the early pg test ones and maybe try in a couple of days. Fingers crossed for you.

I also have a confession. I did a HPT today even though I'm not due on until 23rd and it was of course negative. I have had slight spotting the last couple of days anyway so I'm sure AF on way. THe spotting is at around the same time as last month so i have to face facts don't I Sad

Southsearocks · 18/02/2012 17:10

Confessing here too. I'm due on the 22nd and have been testing for the last three days. I blame the cheap intenet PT's for making it so damned easy! But no matter how hard I stare the strip remains firmly white. I've been spotting all month too but it's nothing like the implantation bleeding I had with DC1. sigh I'm also addicted to the Fertility Friend app - how funny! Grin

wifey6 · 18/02/2012 18:02

I've tested today & yesterday too...although not due AF til 24th! Why I do it to myself knowing it will be a BFN! The Internet cheapies I have bought can apparently detect as early as 4 days before AF due - I am not mathematician but even I can see its too early! Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/02/2012 18:15

Itll be me testing early in a weeks time I just know it. I've got 5 tests sitting in my cupboard it's going to be so hard to hold off. Still have 18 days to go and I haven't even OV yet!

I read an interesting website which was explaining CM, just a rough overview it says non fertile CM is usually the thick, white stuff you get right before and after AF.
Fertile CM is more liquidy, clear and thin. Not everyone gets CM so it's not a great indicator for everyone but as I get it all through the month I will be keeping an eye out for any changes.
It's quite good having a physical indicator of what's going on.

ellesabe · 18/02/2012 19:14

unfortunately all of the cheap Internet tests in my bathroom cupboard are the left-over out-of-date ones that I was stupidly using last month...so no early testing for me this time. I have ONE in-date test which will not be used until cd37. How on earth am I going to stay sane for that amount of time??? Roll on March 17th Confused

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/02/2012 19:21

Are you pretty certain your cycle will be 37 days again?

I'm assuming a 28 day cycle just because the date sounds closer! (I will be testing on day 29 regardless)

ellesabe · 18/02/2012 23:22

I have no idea how long my cycle will be other than it's more likely to be 37 days than 28 :( I can see the next three weeks stretching out into the distance!

DesperateHousewife21 · 19/02/2012 08:04

I know the feeling :( I looked on the calendar and I've still got two more weekends to get through and even then I've got 3 days to wait, it feels like a lifetime.

Pipbin · 19/02/2012 11:15

Spotting today again. However my temperature has gone up again.
I'm not convinced that this is going to turn into a triphasic chart.
What do you think?
