Ok ladies, here we go a nice new thread for us to share our fears and smiles on.

Lets keep smiling and positive, and make sure that this is a Happy year for everyone.

Life is far too short to waste, and after such a rough year for most of us last year, lets make 2006 an extra special one x x x

Let it all out lovely. I wish i could help you some how, feel a bit useless at the end of a computer, but i can listen great if you need to chat.

Coathanger · 11/01/2006 18:58

Thanks G4P I think thats all anyone can do even here in RL. I have just got to ride it I think. I get like this from time to time but I always come out the other end. Its just so hard when you are in the middle of it. I'm sure by next week I will have got better again. Its also the whole am I? Aren't I? question too. I can't believe that I was lucky enough to have my scan right when I was about to OV and I was aware of the fact I was deffo gonna OV at any time. So now I ahve done everything in my pwower to make sure I stand the best chance, but I don't think I can face the outcome. If I am not pG then it means DH deffo has problems which I can't change
I think I just have way too much in my head at the mo and somehow I need to take a bit of time out

sorry hellkat. Its really horrible having such a physical reminder of what is happening.

CH, sorry you are feeling so down. Am not a very positive person myself so not sure what to say. Just be kind to yourself. I think I marvel at people who think it will happen as I am scared to in case its just more disappointment.

GfP. An ectopic must have been very hard. A friend of mine had one and lost an ovary too as it became very serious.

I went to the EPU today had a scan and blood test. Just confirmed what I thought that I had miscarried. Have to have another scan and bloood test to make sure its all ok. I felt annoyed that when I go back to the fertility clinic I will have to have another one of the same scans and pay loads for it. Its no wonder my son is obsessed by his Drs kit, he spend most of his timewatching at hospitlas and GPs (am also waiting to have a scan for a breast lump at the moment too)

going4potty · 11/01/2006 19:16

Sorry about that, not use to this laptop. Well im here , ready to listen. I think all of us on this thread have lots to deal with and sometimes you just need to get things out. You are doing the right thing, as keeping it all locked inside can lead to problems in my opinion. It may be a n idea to take some special time for yourself. If im feeling low, ihave a pampering treat eg facial, manicure etc and they contain not calories either

going4potty · 11/01/2006 19:18

hi jane lovely to see you here, hope the scan goes ok, try not to worry too much, lumps can be due to a load of reasons, but its good your getting it checked.

jane313 · 11/01/2006 19:26

thanks, you work in that area don't you? I had one a year ago and that was cleared but this one is odd as I can only find it sometimes. One GP felt it, the other didn't then the consultant couldn't find it, just a lumpy area. My sil has had breast cancer so am overly paranoid now. But am suprising for me am not too worried. I think my personal worry-bank is full now so thats been relegated a bit!

Coathanger · 11/01/2006 19:27

Jane - how are you hun? Silly question really I know. I'm kind of glad for you that it was all sorted and now you know for sure and you can plan ahead, but I also feel so very sad for you And I thinkit might be of a little comfort to know that there is another lady on this thread that also has a breast lump. I won't say who but I'm sure on reading this she will contact you. Don't want to say as I can't remember who she has told, if that makes sense and doesn't sound too weird - ermmm, you get me don't you?!?!?!?!

jane313 · 11/01/2006 19:41

thats fine CH, I understand.

I am not too bad today bizarrely enough. I told a few people which helps a bit. Although I end up not being able to say the actual words without cracking up. I am just dreading all the ttc conceive bit again more than the m/c. But obviously I wouldn't have to do one without the other. And feel annoyed at having to have all those fertility tests and am worrying about the costs because we are moving house soon (hopefully!) too. And my 40th bithday is looming. I don't want to able to drink on it, for all teh right reasons!

going4potty · 11/01/2006 19:45

Yes i do work in that field, but like i say youve done the right thing, good luck.
On a lighter note Dh and i did a non-serious personality test with hilarious results. You can work out which classic movie or world leader you are like. Apparently im like mahatma ghandi and "mr smith goes to washington"
and dh is sadaam hussien and "platoon" .lol if you want some light relief \link{http://similarMinds.com\this is so funny

jane313 · 11/01/2006 19:50

I'll look at that later but DH is commandeering the computer for actual work. I am going to carry out that ice cream therapy advised earlier on here. (I was being very good when I was pregnant cos last time I had gestational diabetes and since then I have eaten my body weight in chocolate)

Coathanger · 11/01/2006 20:05

oo-er! I am Bill Clinton (!) and Schindlers List (!!) Says a lot about my state of mind right now!!

Coathanger · 11/01/2006 20:11

oh my god! look at this! It is so true!

Coathanger · 11/01/2006 20:16

Oh No! It didn't copy over! Basically I am 62% paranoid, 74% borderline, 62% histrionic, and 62% dependant! I am a freak!

carly82 · 11/01/2006 20:52

have had my coursework back in college and my tutor said he couldnt see why i couldn't get full marks yeay!!!!!!
anyway hope all of you are ok xxxx

Charlee · 11/01/2006 21:46

Hi girls!
Af's due today nothing as yet except that bleed about 4 days ago dont know what that was about any ideas anyone?
Not hoping for alot though this month i have been so grouchy over the last few days so probably pmt setting in. Ive had a few crampy type pains but nothing major they keep coming and i think here it is then they go again.

anyway im rambling! unfortunatley even if i was pg i HAVE to fly in 12 days time, so that will probably induce another m/c anyway.

Will see what happens.

All the best, keep smiling

Charlee xox

going4potty · 11/01/2006 21:55

Hi charlee, hope your ok. Maybe it was an implantation bleed????
Ive had a little bit of blood in pant 2day, but is so light in colur and flow, hope its af in a way, so i know im ok after hope, but also secretly hope im pregnant already, even though its very unlikely. But im ok whatever, if it is at least i can start tracking my cycle properly.

going4potty · 11/01/2006 22:26

well of to read in bed, see you soon

HellKat · 12/01/2006 05:05

Thanks all, you've been amazing.
Spent the day sleeping, popping pills etc. (and scoffing M&M's) .
Still no bleeding but when the pain kicks in it's worse than before. Getting fed up now because I wish it would hurry up. Even if there's a chance I'm still pg, there's no way would it be a healthy pg with these pains (nurse agreed with me) so wishing for a big whoosh (so to speak), then try to get back to normal.
Jane- I've got my 2nd appointment in 6 mths at the breast clinic next week. My first was'nt a lump as such, more like thickened tissue, and they were fab. Did an ultrasound and a wide core biopsy, they checked me out thoroughly because there's alot of cancer on both sides of my family. (got the results in 48hrs, all clear). This time around though, it started off as a hard, marble sized lump (only noticed it because my arm and chest were aching). Since November its grown so so much it now fills 2 3rds of my boob, has changed the shape of it too. So try not to worry. At least you're aware of it and getting it checked out. Best of luck with it, let us know how you get on. How are you feeling otherwise?

Hope everyone's doing well. Our old graduate Slink is expecting a..............boy!!!!!!!!!!! Great news.

jane313 · 12/01/2006 07:34

How are they treating you now hellkat? I had a hard marble one first time round but luckily it didn't change and they said it was fat necrosis(sp?). Is that slink who had a 4 year old ish dd? Shes been trying for ages thats great news.

CH I did one of those personalityy test that was on here before Xmas and it basically I was a really horrible person. Quite depressing

HellKat · 12/01/2006 07:39

Jane they're fabulous. They said any problems (more lumps, any worries etc) ring the breast clinic instead of my gp (as long as it's within 6 mths or I'd have to go back to the Dr). I found them very thorough. Mind you, all aspects of that hospital have been brilliant, so we've been really lucky. Not sure what they'll do on Thursday, probably another scan etc. When's your appointment?
I can't remember how old Slink's little one is, she could be 4. My brains' crappy.

Ch- Hope you're feeling chirpier today my love xxxxxxxxxxx
